Job purpose
We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and experienced Head of income and partnerships to drive forward and deliver our plans for income growth and diversification in line with our 5-year organisational strategy.
This is a new, pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio, ensuring we can continue to grow our impact in advancing the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public and society.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working as part of the Operations team, this is a critical role at the centre of the Bureau’s financial set-up. You will lead the day-to-day financial management of the organisation’s income and expenditure across multiple projects.
The Bureau is entering an exciting period of development, with a growing focus on building our direct audience and diversifying revenue streams. The Finance Manager will play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s long-term sustainability and resilience, while helping to deliver its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all bookkeeping functions, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
Oversee cashflow management and banking controls
Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Editors to develop annual budgets that support organisational growth and project delivery
Work with the COO to analyse financial performance and identify current and future funding needs

The Director of Operations for Edinburgh International Book Festival [EIBF] sits at the intersection of programme delivery, organisational management and operational leadership. The role combines events delivery with charity-wide management. This ensures that EIBF runs smoothly, festivals and events happen effectively, and all activity aligns with our charitable objectives and purpose.
The Director of Operations will lead all operational and logistical aspects of the annual Book Festival and year-round programmes. The Charity

Working with the Chief Executive and others, to design, recruit and develop a multi-disciplinary team covering income generation, marketing, communications and engagement.
Review income generation, marketing and communications trends, approaches and evaluation frameworks. Conduct further research and evaluation as required and set against sector comparators.
Conduct initial, then regular, analysis of the charitys audiences, both existing and potential, with a view to maximising opportunities for engagement, influence, giving, volunteering and homing.
Create an integrated brand, marketing and income generation strategy, with clear delivery plans and evaluation frameworks.
Review and lead development of the individual giving programme, both traditional and digital, including membership and friends schemes.
The Candidate
Track record at senior level with demonstrable experience across income generation, marketing and communications disciplines.
Demonstrable experience of building, implementing and evaluating income generation and engagement strategies.
Demonstrable experience of integrating brand, marketing and income generation strategies and the teams delivering them to achieve both financial and wider organisational targets.
Budgetary understanding and experience; able to understand corporate budgets and management accounts, build and manage annual budgets and accurately forecast both income and expenditure.

About the role
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Events and Community Fundraising to lead and grow one of WWF-UK’s most important fundraising income streams.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver an ambitious Events and Community Fundraising strategy, driving sustainable income growth across a diverse portfolio of challenge events, mass participation products and community fundraising activity.
