About you

What will you be doing as Internal Communications Manager?

• Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy to support transformation and business priorities, reviewing current tools and systems

• Identify and implement new modern digital solutions for internal communications

• Creating engaging, clear and timely communications that connect and inspire staff across YHA’s network

• Managing YHA’s internal communications channels to ensure consistency, accuracy and impact

• Planning and hosting internal engagement activities such as briefings, webinars and Ask‑the‑Exec sessions

• Producing high‑quality internal content including newsletters, briefings, presentations and articles

• Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation to gather stories, share updates and celebrate impact

• Supporting staff understanding, engagement and confidence during periods of organisational change, with travel across the network as required

What Skills and Experience do you need to be an Internal Communications Manager?

• Experience implementing and managing modern digital internal communications systems within complex or national organisations

• Proven experience leading and delivering internal communications strategies

• Expert confidence using Microsoft tools such as Teams, Viva Engage and SharePoint to drive engagement

• Demonstrated success managing internal communications through periods of organisational change

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and situations

Senior Media Officer (PR)

About the team

The WaterAid media team is busy, ambitious, fast paced and fun. We strategically lead on both proactive and reactive media activity engaging with journalists to support WaterAid’s mass engagement campaigns (e.g. campaigning for no mother to give birth without safe water), partnerships (like designing celebrity toilets at Glastonbury, or creating PR campaigns for our Wimbledon Foundation partnership), brand awareness and political influencing.    

About the role

As our Senior Media Officer, your will support the Senior PR manager to deliver the public relations function for WaterAid across digital and traditional media and work closely with the team and other colleagues across our fundraising, partnership and advocacy teams to drive ambitious and sustainable change.  

In this role, you will:

• Develop and deliver innovative integrated, digital-first PR campaigns that achieve impactful national, international, local and digital coverage, to support our fundraising and public engagement activities, build WaterAid’s profile, and align with wider organisational aims   
• Take a project lead on high-profile strategic partnerships to deliver media projects that meet shared objectives and help our partners become influencers in their sector to drive change    
• Work with the Celebrity and Influencer team to develop effective ways to work with high-profile supporters to build awareness of WaterAid and our work  
• Shoot, edit and upload digital content for our digital media outlets including TikTok and YouTube 
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and broadcasters including the planning and managing of trips to country programmes with journalists, celebrities or for content gathering  
• Join the 24/7 on-call rota (aprox every 6-8 weeks) and be prepared for travel in the UK and overseas - usually around two weeks per year - as well as some work outside normal office hours, as necessary   
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Excellent command of written and verbal English to produce written media work of high quality 

• Proven experience of working in an in-house press office / PR agency or as a journalist 

• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of digital platforms including TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram 

• Strong understanding of the UK and global media landscape, with an excellent nose for a story and established relationships with key journalists and media outlets for major UK and global titles. 

• Proven experience of delivering effective and innovative integrated, multi-channel media campaigns with digital media at their core   

• Understanding of how the media can be used as an influencing tool – whether to encourage fundraising and engagement or influence decision makers 

• Ability to forge effective/ strong working relationships within the team and with colleagues from across the organisation 

• Proven ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to personal learning, development and improvement in pursuit of own objectives and those of the team and organisation

As our Senior Internal Auditor, you will support WaterAid to continuously strengthen internal controls and effective risk management by the delivery of internal audit engagements working closely with management to drive sustainable change. 

In this role, you will: 

• Deliver risk-based internal audits to provide assurance that financial and other control procedures are appropriate and implemented as designed.

• Respond to requests for assistance and advice from management in respect of any matters relating to systems of control, risk management and governance.

• Input to the development of the Internal Audit function 

• Support management in developing a fraud aware culture and in fraud response, including undertaking investigations where required

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

Business Manager

Location: Kendal, Cumbria (with regular travel across Cumbria and to our site in Carlilse)

Salary: £42,830 per annum, plus 9% pension contribution.

Duration: Full-time (35 hrs per week) fixed term for 3 years (with possibility of extension).

The role offers a unique opportunity to lead the business development and management of the Trust’s consultancy (Cumbria Wildlife Consulting (CWC)) and commercial plant nursery, ensuring they together provide a high-quality integrated service, meet financial targets, and align with the Trust's mission to protect and restore Cumbria’s natural environment, and inspire action. 

Since 2023, the Trust has run a semi-commercial nursery at its Gosling Sike site near Carlisle, providing local provenance, peat-free plug plants for use in our projects, but also selling to partner organisations. The Trust has recently secured funding to expand its operation, increasing capacity and enabling more efficient production.  

In addition to the above, the role will also build new, high-value strategic partnerships and business relationships with a focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities within the nature economy.

What we are looking for:

An individual who is enthusiastic and passionate about delivering nature’s recovery in Cumbria, but who is also business-minded with a proven track record of working in a commercial environment. They should possess the relevant skills, experience and confidence to grow new business ventures, taking them to the next stage. Applicants should be self-motivated, organised and have experience of leading teams both remotely and in person. A full driving licence and access to a car with business use insurance are desirable.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust is devoted to the conservation of the wildlife and wild places of Cumbria.

What is the main purpose of their role?

The Operations Manager sits within a team of six managers who are responsible for providing the strategic lead for all the activities of Suffolk Refugee Support. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for overseeing key programme areas including HR and facilities, volunteering, our ESOL provision and our International Women’s Group. The role will also oversee the development of SRS’s Client Partnership work, ensuring this is shaped through co-production with the clients we work with, supports strong external relationships, and is delivered through an effective, outcome-focused work plan. Working closely with staff, trustees, partners and clients, the postholder will contribute to the effective management and ongoing development of the organisation.

The role line manages a team of Officers and Coordinators responsible for specific programme areas, ensuring that the activities within their remit are effective, compliant and responsive, meeting both the charitable aims of SRS and the needs of the asylum seekers and refugees we support.

What will the job entail?

Among other responsibilties, you’ll be overseeing the function of the organisation and its strategic development by using knowledge of needs of clients, gaps in existing services and opportunities as they arise, working with the Management Team to agree funds required for services to be run and delivered, liaising with Trustees, developing and managing client focused activities, developing and managing operational areas of work and providing strategic and operational oversight to our Client Partnership work.

What you will need

• At least two years’ staff and project management experience in community, voluntary sector or social care settings; or other proven relevant management experience
• Experience of managing staff including delivery planning, performance monitoring, practising HR & disciplinary processes, and motivating positive work environments

Suffolk Refugee Support aims to ensure that all asylum seekers and refugees in Suffolk are enabled to live integrated, fulfilled and contributing lives in their new communities. You’ll be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications in a small team that values fundraising creativity, and has some great partnerships and resources for you to build on.

We’re seeking a motivated self-starter, with a track record of initiating, managing and developing relationships with high net worth individuals and grantmaking bodies, and securing 5 figure donations and grants.

You will find, and nurture relationships with, philanthropists and non-statutory grant-makers. Some of these will be existing donors, and warm prospects, and others you will identify by research (we’ll provide some administrative help). You’ll also engage with Trustees, and senior staff, to identify and nurture Christian philanthropists and grant body decision-makers within their spheres of influence.

You’ll develop cases for support and write funding applications (helped by the wider staff team) and will build a robust income pipeline based on relational asks, including in person. Stewardship is key, so we want a skilled communicator with great organisational skills. You’ll have a passion for local social action, and will thrive in our collaborative team culture.

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Finance Officer to join our small and welcoming team. • Reviewing staff and volunteer expenses to make sure they follow our policies
