In the last four years we have tripled our turnover, moved from delivery at one site to having thirteen outreaches and have doubled the number of clients we are seeing. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, full time Welfare Benefits Worker to build up a much needed Welfare Rights Unit.  We have a small unit of volunteers who support clients with appeals, and our next stage is to build a volunteer based form filling service.  Whilst holding a small caseload of your own, it is the development of this service that would be your principal task.

To be successful you will need to be a qualified Citizens Advice Adviser, preferably with experience of delivering Benefits casework, and to be able to develop and lead volunteers.  If the longer term Welfare Rights Unit project interests you but this post would not be an option for you as it stands, we would also welcome a conversation.

Role Description

The Operations and Finance Manager will play a central role in ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Foundation. The postholder will lead on governance, administration, finance, compliance and organisational systems, ensuring the charity operates efficiently, meets its regulatory obligations and has the infrastructure required to deliver its strategic objectives.

Create a corporate partnership fundraising deck for prospects that brings to life all the ways businesses can get involved, from social value opportunities, do your own fundraising and challenge events, sponsorship opportunities, to volunteering and in-kind support. 3. Develop a corporate volunteering opportunities deck, ready to share with prospective and current partners.

This role will join an ambitious programme developing the capacity of the Libraries Connected public library networks. We want to help them evolve as strategic partnerships able to deliver social impacts at scale and to secure resources and investment from national, regional and sub-regional government. The role is part of a small team of two Regional Managers, supported by an Administrator. 

By developing our existing regional networks into formal, resourced structures we can enable the regions to: 

• Secure investment for the service and for the libraries from regional and devolved / combined authority funds.
• Create unique regional offers to meet specific needs across and within the regional areas.
• Deliver at scale. For example, the Yorkshire & Humber regional network has 15 library services, and 348 library buildings. 
• Create opportunities for cost saving – through joint procurement and shared / collaborative services. 
• Share good practice and experience on a formal and integrated basis. 

We have 9 regional networks in England, covering all library services and ranging in size from 9 to 33 services. You are a confident and proactive relationship builder who thrives in a complex and fast-moving environment. Working as part of a small team, and with support and coaching from the Director, you'll be comfortable seeking out expertise across the organisation, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues and influencing senior stakeholders.

As part of Restore, Restore Heritage Storage provides specialist storage and preservation services for some of the UK’s most valuable heritage collections, artefacts and archives. Working with museums, universities, archivists, researchers and private collectors, Restore helps ensure culturally and historically significant objects are protected for future generations.

Restore is now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business generation, pipeline development and revenue growth across its specialist heritage storage offering. This is a consultative, relationship-led role, working with organisations that require trusted long-term partners to safeguard valuable, sensitive and often irreplaceable heritage assets.

The successful candidate will inherit a defined book of existing customers, with responsibility for managing, retaining and growing that portfolio, alongside developing new business opportunities across the heritage, archive, cultural, academic and public sectors.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in business development or sales, with a demonstrable track record of securing and pipelining new business or partnerships
• Experience of working with specialist storage environments, ideally across archives, museums, libraries and public or private sector organisations; and/or experience of selling services or products into museums, archives, libraries, universities and wider heritage organisations#
• Strong account management experience, with the ability to steward longer-term relationships through a consultative and credible approach

About the charity

Established in 2009 by a group of parents, Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) supports over 2,000 patients, carers and siblings across almost 600 families living with Dravet Syndrome, a rare, lifelong form of epilepsy. About the role

The Head of Fundraising will lead on high value asks to help further diversify, strengthen and grow DSUK's income base. This role will be both strategic and hands-on. You'll develop and implement the fundraising strategy, setting realistic targets and delivering on them. You will also represent the charity externally by building relationships with high value funders and developing the case for support.

This is a standalone fundraising role, with support from colleagues across the team. You will line manage the Team Administrator, with the potential to grow the team down the line as the fundraising function develops.

About you

This role will suit a confident relationship-builder and a creative thinker, comfortable working autonomously in a small remote team.

We're looking for someone with:

• A proven track record in high value fundraising, across multiple income streams
• Demonstrable success in building new corporate relationships, including securing multi-year partnerships
• Proven success in cultivating major donors, including securing multi-year gifts.

• Coordinating and maintaining the CEO's diary including organising all appointments, meetings and travel arrangements.
• Identifying, anticipating and preparing CEO information requirements for meetings, appointments and presentations, following up on internal and external requests for information.
• Managing all administration processes relating to the SLT.
• Supporting the CEO and the Fundraising Team with major donor management, including keeping contacts and actions updated, researching prospective donors, communicating with existing donors, coordinating thank you cards and gifts, and tracking secured donations.

Securing significant income through trust and statutory bids sits at the heart of this role, and so does the expertise in demonstrating impact. Sharp, compelling reporting that shows funders and supporters exactly what their money makes possible.

We're looking for someone who can shape a communications and brand presence that matches the strength of our reputation, someone with experience in setting direction for external-facing content, comfortable working with fractional expertise to keep our voice consistent and professional, and just as comfortable being the face of that voice themselves. You'll be equally at home talking research priorities with an ophthalmologist as you are meeting a family with an unexpected diagnosis.

This is a hands-on role in a lean, ambitious organisation. You'll hold real responsibility for strategy, governance and our external profile, working closely with a supportive Board of Trustees, but you'll also be close enough to the work to take ownership of the insight and data that prove it's working. We want to hear from you if the idea of taking real ownership of all aspects of running a charity appeals to you, if you are a self starter with the skills to manage a wide range of projects and ideas.

You do not need to have been a Chief Executive before. What you do need is real sector experience, credibility with funders and trustees, and the drive to turn ambition into a deliverable plan.
