The role
We are looking to recruit a Youth Outreach and Community Worker in London as part of our UK Programme.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our new Mental Health Crisis Prevention and Outreach Service in Croydon.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As a Recovery Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred, and recovery-focused support to individuals experiencing mental distress, helping them improve their wellbeing, build resilience, and prevent the escalation of mental health difficulties. You will manage a caseload of service users, delivering assessments, risk management, safety planning, and short-term interventions tailored to individual needs. Working closely with health, social care, housing, and community partners, you will support people to access appropriate services and achieve their recovery goals. You will be able to build positive and trusting relationships, deliver effective emotional and practical support, and respond appropriately to risk, safeguarding concerns, and crisis situations. Strong communication, teamwork, and partnership-working skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate with health professionals, community organisations, and other stakeholders. You should possess good IT and record-keeping skills, experience managing a caseload, and the flexibility to work across community and clinical settings, including evenings and weekends.
