Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

• Location: East or Midlands based, either home based or in Headway UK’s office in Nottingham.
• Salary: £35,000 FTE (pro rata for 21 hours per week) (days are flexible, but the working pattern would ideally include either Tuesday or Friday for service coverage).

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

What you will do:

• Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units and assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.
• Writing and reviewing reports for Approved Provider units, following assessments, that clearly highlight strengths and areas for development.
• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway UK’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units.
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors (who are brain injury survivors or family members) who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

About you

• Prior experience of working in the field of acquired brain injury.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, nursing, social work).
• Ability to write and moderate written reports of high quality and clarity, to provide accurate and accessible feedback.
• Very good IT skills, including be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).
• Ability to gain the trust, confidence, and respect at all levels within external organisations and staff groups.
• Be an excellent communicator, with new and existing Approved Provider units.

Job Purpose

To work as a member of Gaddum Therapeutic Services which includes Counsellors, Social Workers, Art Therapists, and Play Therapists.

To provide therapeutic support to CYP who have become stuck in their grieving process following a bereavement of a significant person. This will include one to one work and occasional group work which will usually take place at the child’s school, community venue or remotely via telephone or online video.

To offer advice and guidance to professionals and carers who contact us following a child’s complex bereavement. Effective working relationships with parents, carers and other professionals will be a crucial element of the role.

Main Duties

o To be accountable to the CYP Therapy Coordinator.

o Act as an initial point of contact for family members and professionals considering a referral to the service or requesting advice and guidance.

o Provide support in the grieving process, offering advice, making an initial assessment of need and signposting to other services where appropriate.

o Following assessment, offer therapeutic intervention to CYP, supporting their adjustment to loss and building resilience. Interventions should meet the assessed needs of each individual.

o Ensure all involved with the CYP understand the complexities of a bereavement, including those experienced as a result of trauma.

o Maintain case records, monitor and evaluate your work in line with the organisations processes and protocols.

o Undertake regular reviews with family members and other professionals as appropriate.

o Ensure effective multiagency working with other professionals.

o Work to Gaddum’s policies and procedures.

o Ensure Safeguarding procedures are carried out in line with relevant legislation and Local Authority requirements.

The Communications Manager is a key role in the planning and delivering of high quality, integrated internal and external communications to increase awareness of and drive engagement with The Children’s Trust, as part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. Working alongside senior colleagues in marketing, media and digital, the role helps ensure our communications are well planned, effective, aligned and consistent, using insight and evaluation to demonstrate impact. 

Consistency of Brand and Messaging, content and story gathering

• Build relationships with staff, volunteers and families, telling the stories of The Children’s Trust, to be delivered through a number of channels and who can, alongside celebrities, become ambassadors for the charity
• Drive consistent use of The Children’s Trust key messages across all communications channels
• Work alongside the Senior Marketing Manager to keep style guidelines updated and refreshed on a regular basis
• Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager to ensure communications collateral is regularly updated, particularly where children and families feature, ensuring it is in line with the charity’s consent process
• Work with the creative team to ensure brand guidelines are refreshed and updated and that there are toolkits and templates available to wider staff
• Assist withthe creation and production of key reports e.g. Quality Report, Annual Report

External Communications

• Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager to assist with The Children’s Trust press office function, including being part of an out-of-hours press office rota during key periods
• Support a programme of proactive public relations and communications campaigns across a range of media channels, driving awareness of the charity to target audiences
• Support the Head of Marketing and Communications with issues and reputation management
• Help to quickly develop appropriate strategies for responding to a wide range of issues and incidents, whilst liaising with other stakeholders to create and publish the required collateral
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify and create stories and content that supports internal and external marketing and communication activity
• Support the organisation’s approach to volunteer and alumni engagement
• Support the Digital Manager with creating content for and updating The Children’s Trust website and The Children's Trust school website
• Oversee the consent process for work with families ensuring that images and information on the children and young people we support is in line with The Children’s Trust policies and procedures.

Internal Communications

• Be part of a core team to plan and implement an internal communications programme across the charity
• Ensure messages and information is developed and shared appropriately across the organisation
• Monitor key issues and provide guidance and counsel on staff engagement and communications, external communications content in support of agreed projects and objectives
• Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications to draft internal communications across the charity’s internal communications channels
• Work with wider directorate to evaluate success of existing internal communications and develop new ideas 
• Oversee content planning and updating and supporting colleagues to manage their areas on our staff intranet The Loop

Marketing and Communications Management

• Work with fellow managers in the team (currently Senior Media and Communications Manager, Senior Marketing Manager and Digital Manager) to lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies to support the delivery of The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate the impact of the team’s work
• Provide strong project management for communications projects and campaigns, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, collaboratively and to a consistently high standard
• Develop strong relationships, internally and externally, and role model this to wider members of the department and directorate

Fundraising Communications / Income Generation Communications

• Work with fundraising and retail colleagues within the directorate to plan, execute and evaluate communications campaigns which supports income generation, in line with the fundraising objectives of the charity
• Support the Digital Manager with creation and distribution of marketing emails and creation of reports
• Business Development – working with the team to support campaigns which support the business development objectives of the charity, to promote support the department with its stakeholder engagement to professionals and parents.

At Survivors in Transition, we provide specialist trauma-informed support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse across Suffolk and the wider East of England. We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and operationally capable Deputy Service Manager to support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality survivor services during a period of continued growth and development.

This is a senior operational role supporting the Service Manager and wider leadership team to ensure services are safe, effective, responsive, and aligned with trauma-informed principles. The postholder will play a key role in staff support, case oversight, safeguarding, performance monitoring, and service coordination.

The role would suit someone with experience in sexual violence, domestic abuse, mental health, safeguarding, social care, or other trauma-related services, who is confident balancing operational management with survivor-centred practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

·Supporting the operational management of frontline services

·Providing day-to-day supervision and guidance to staff and subcontracted therapists 

·Assisting with safeguarding oversight, risk management, and complex case discussions

·Monitoring service delivery, KPIs, waiting lists, and outcomes

·Supporting quality assurance, audits, and compliance processes

·Helping embed trauma-informed and survivor-led practice across the organisation

·Assisting with resource coordination, service cover, and operational problem solving

·Supporting partnership working with external agencies and stakeholders

·Contributing to service development and continuous improvement

Essential experience and skills:

You will hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Mental Health, or Social Care or equivalent professional qualification, along with at least five years’ experience in service or operations management. You’ll bring strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed practice. You will be confident in operational efficiency, quality assurance, and resource management, with strong skills in data analysis and budget management. You will be able to work independently to drive operational improvements while maintaining empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Excellent IT skills, advanced organisational ability, and a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach are essential - as is a sense of humour and resilience when working in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment. A full, clean driving licence preferred.

As a Compliance & Recruitment Officer you will deliver a high quality and responsive service to prospective candidates, recruiting managers and business stakeholders. In addition, you serve as a subject matter expert to the People Team and the wider organisation, ensuring that we prioritise the safeguarding of the children and young people right from the start of an employee’s recruitment and onboarding journey. 

Skills and Responsibilities 

On-Boarding & Compliance

• Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding and compliance process and ensure that the processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, including: issuing contracts, pre-employment compliance checks, and keying new starters/setting up new starters on the onboarding system.
• Ensure the accurate entry and maintenance of data onto the relevant HR Systems/ spreadsheets, by employing robust quality assurance and due diligence measures.
• Be the subject matter expert for Access Recruit & Onboarding and Better Impact for the team, the candidates/onboardees and the wider organisation
• Monitor and maintain ongoing compliance requirements across staff files, including (but not limited to): Right to Work documentation (i.e. valid Visas and passports); Professional Registrations; Dr’s professional insurance, etc.
• Ensure that all aspects of DBS process are managed in accordance with policy/procedures
• Assist the Recruitment & Compliance Manager in preparing, analysing and producing relevant reports and statistics.
• Conduct audit checks on new starters, volunteer and temporary worker files and report back to team to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy of data collected.
• Coordinate and/or supervise a regular and continuous calendar of personnel file reviews and audits, to ensure and maintain regulatory compliance, and where relevant escalate non- compliance issues to the Compliance Partner and/or the Recruitment & Compliance Manager.
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of an annual audit of CQC and Ofsted standards, across relevant business areas, e.g. The Children’s Trust School.
• Proactively maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our associated regulatory requirements, highlighting any updates and subsequent implications as soon as reasonably practical.
• Impart expertise and knowledge by delivering training sessions for new starters on compliance processes.
• In collaboration with the Organisation Development Team ensure the delivery of a seamless and engaging On-boarding and Induction experience for new staff and volunteers.

Recruitment & Selection

• Be responsible for the recruitment, on-boarding and compliance process for all types of permanent employees, Bank employees, temporary workers and volunteers. 
• Maintain the administration of recruitment and onboarding records, ensuring that these are complete and accurate
• Ensure all recruitment activities and the candidate life-cycle are underpinned by our Promises, whilst adhering to current employment legislation including Disclosure & Barring Service, Care Quality Commission, Ofsted, KCSIE and all policies and procedures
• Maintain an up-to-date list of vacancies, and ensure that all vacancies are advertised internally and/ or externally, in a timely manner.

People Team Support

• Where required, contribute to the collation of relevant recruitment and compliance data, ensuring that these are complete and accurate, in order to support the preparation, analysis and production of relevant service reports, e.g. recruitment KPIs, time to hire (on-boarding KPIs), SCR school reports, right to work/visa reporting.
• Build strong internal and external relationships and provide a first class, added value service, to all staff and external partners/ customers.
• Where required, provide additional support on specific People Team projects, as informed by and agreed with the Recruitment & Compliance Manager.

A fantastic opportunity to join the Cure Parkinson’s Research team – a medical research charity supporting research to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s. Working with the Director of Research, this role will have management of Cure Parkinson’s clinical portfolio. We are looking to expand our pool of experienced, trauma‑informed Clinical Supervisors to provide reflective, supportive and ethically focused supervision to staff working across our services. About the role

This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:

· To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists.

· This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision, support and advice as well as line management and guidance around risk and safeguarding to clinicians across our other centres as required.  

· To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.

· Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit-based services.

· To formulate psychological treatment and management plans for survivors of torture and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of psychological interventions in line with our clinical pathway that draws on a range of evidence based models for the treatment of survivors of torture.

· Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.

To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.

We also offer access to additional therapy training including NET and EMDR,  as well as access to high quality clinical supervision and an opportunity to hold a small case load alongside your management practice

This is an exciting opportunity to guide and support trainees in their development as future child psychotherapists. The successful postholders will liaise with the year 1 tutor, clinical and research tutors, service supervisors and intensive case supervisors. There will be regular team meetings with the year tutor other progress advisors responsible for the year group. Outside of this, working hours are flexible.

We are looking for ACP registered Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists with current CAMHS experience, who have an active interest in working with our year tutor and staff group to support trainees’ progress. The role may suit new career CAPts who wish to develop connections and experience within the field of CAPy training schools. There will be opportunity to take advantage of in house training to become an Intensive Case Supervisor and for additional paid hours of clinical teaching such as practice or clinical seminar groups as appropriate.
