Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our South West London Team. Reporting to Service Delivery Coach, Gavin Hughes.

Position: 000028 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, South West London – Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027. However, regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: Circa £22,600 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum/pro rata or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum/pro rata may be applied in accordance with where you live)  (FTE circa £28,300 per annum plus any London weighting if applicable)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

· Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.

· Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM data base and all data is in line with our retention policy and GDPR compliant.

· Develop and manage service volunteers to support service delivery for stroke survivors and carers as required.

About You

You will have experience in:

· Providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long term health condition and their carers

· Ability to nurture emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home

· Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face to face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)

This role requires regular travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Legal Casework

• Work closely with the Public Law Supervisor, Director of Legal Casework and Asylum Aid Executive Director to develop a public law caseload and drive change through strategic litigation;
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on asylum and human rights claims, and on judicial review challenges pertaining to asylum and immigration matters and the treatment of asylum seekers and other migrants;
• Identify common problems and issues from the wider team’s caseload which are suitable for strategic challenges; 
• Contribute to internal strategy discussions
• Attend external meetings on behalf of AA and contribute to strategy discussions within the wider sector
• Where appropriate, apply for LAA Case Funding through the CCMS, obtain appropriate costs and scope extensions, and submit claims for payment;
• Ensure that legal aid and other income is maximised, and targets are achieved;
• Maintain client files and records in line with file management procedures;
• Provide technical supervision and training in judicial review procedure to other staff where necessary.

Project Unity provides high-quality, rights-based advocacy and intensive support to care-experienced young mothers who are pregnant or have recently given birth, helping to empower young mothers, strengthen outcomes and prevent children from entering care.

About Project Unity England

Project Unity England improves outcomes for care-experienced young mothers and their children through collaborative, multi-agency working, delivered through cluster-based areas bringing together local stakeholders for coordinated, community-focused support. Cluster one is based around London and cluster two around Yorkshire, with a third cluster area to be identified in year three. Travel between cluster areas is expected, particularly from year two onwards.

As Project Coordinator, you will support delivery and development of Project Unity within your assigned cluster areas, working closely with partners and internal teams. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Administration & Business Support Officer to help keep our growing charity running smoothly.

Working closely with the Director of Operations, you’ll provide essential support across administration, finance, HR, governance and organisational systems. From coordinating recruitment and processing invoices to supporting Board meetings and maintaining key records, you’ll play a vital role in enabling our team to deliver life-changing support to children and families across the UK.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments, takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys helping colleagues succeed. As a small charity, we value flexibility, collaboration and a willingness to get involved wherever support is needed.

Contract terms:

• £16,800 - £18,000 (£28,000 - £30,000 FTE) per annum, plus benefits

What you'll be doing:

​

• Supporting with the development of campaigns and appeals.
• Assisting the delivery of inspiring supporter journeys for individual supporters, including thanking and stewardship processes.
• Coordinating supporter communications and follow data processes to support the programme and ensure consistency.
• Coordinating team financial procedures.

What you’ll bring:

​

• Great communication and organisational skills
• Confidence using IT software including Microsoft Office.
• Experience of serving customers and/or supporters.
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases and managing financial processes would be beneficial, but training will be provided.
• Knowledge of any of the following areas would be beneficial but training will be provided: fundraising, marketing, gifts in wills and in-memory giving.

Post Title: Sessional Community Keyworker

Location: Thames Valley

Pay rate: £14.31 to £16.35 per hour depending on level of experience

We are looking for Sessional Workers to support Advance’s Criminal Justice Services. Advance’s Criminal Justice Services work with women involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance’s Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required.

This post is not fixed hours or full time, work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

Job Summary

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

** PLEASE NOTE: The advert as originally posted gave the hours per week as 35 (full time). The role has recently been amended and is now for 28 hours per week. As such the actual salary for this role is now £19,920 (£24,900 pro-rata). **

Job Purpose

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day duties:

· Facilitate carers drop-ins in venues across Salford, including but not limited to hospital sites (both on wards and public areas), community venues (such as Gateways) and high footfall locations.

· Provide one-off, solution-focussed appointments to address the immediate needs of carers identified in the community or at the point of referral.

· Create networking opportunities throughout all wards of Salford to publicise the service and build/ maintain relevant partnerships.

· Complete Statutory Carers Assessments.

· To be able to travel to various locations in Salford, at times multiple locations per day – often carrying service promotional materials. Salford is a large city covering 37 sq. miles.

Weekly/ monthly duties:

· To work alongside student social workers on placement, providing mentoring, guidance, and shadowing opportunities as appropriate.

· Create and run exciting events and support groups for carers, organisations and stakeholders to attend.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at carers, to communicate the support and opportunities available from the service.

· Create and deliver service presentations aimed at community groups, educational bodies and organisations to raise awareness of how to identify and support carers, and to increase the visibility of the service.

· Develop ways to identify carers across Salford and let them know about support available to them and their needs.

· Invite Carers to be involved with the service and help us to coproduce/ codesign our service offer.

· Get to know Salford’s diverse communities and organisations, providing culturally appropriate information and support.

· Promote Carers Rights to carers, Salford’s communities and relevant organisations.

· Maintain a clear record of work completed by note taking and recording on our recording system.

· To meet regularly with line manager for supervision.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check. 

The post-holder will be required to undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by Management and Senior Management Team, which will usually be commensurate with the skills and experience of the post-holder.

The Operations and Administration Manager is essential to Kalayaan’s team and to our ability to transform the lives of our clients. The role offers and opportunity to use and build skills across a range of areas with a high degree of responsibility, working with a talented and committed team.

Bow Church is looking for an organised, proactive and relational Operations Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day life, ministry and mission of our church community.

Bow Church is a vibrant community seeking out the abundant life of following Jesus, encountering the Spirit and growing in the Bible – and helping others in Bow to come, belong, serve, give and grow within that story.

Working closely with the Rector and other leaders, you’ll coordinate the practical rhythms of church life, maintain the systems, communication and organisation that enable the life of the church to flourish, help oversee our buildings, events and governance, and support volunteers, ministry leaders and staff.

This is a varied and rewarding role that would suit someone who enjoys helping people, systems and activities work well together. You’ll need strong organisational and interpersonal skills, good judgement and the ability to move confidently between practical administration, relationship-building and day-to-day problem-solving.

This is a permanent, flexible three-day-per-week role (21 hours), including some Sundays and occasional evenings as part of the normal rhythm of church life. Salary: £19,200–£21,600 per annum (£32,000–£36,000 FTE), depending on experience.

There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
