About the role:

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. We deliver over 60 courses and conferences a year to an average of 2,000 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants. 

The Training Manager will not directly teach any training content but will run this programme end to end, ensuring all trainings and events are delivered professionally, to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. The post holder will shape the training calendar with support from the Training Advisory Board and maintain ILPA’s reputation for high-quality, practitioner-led training. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme planning and development 

• Build and manage the annual and quarterly training schedule with a balance of advanced, intermediate and introductory courses across immigration, asylum and nationality law 

• Facilitate and support the Training Advisory Board to identify priorities and emerging issues 

• Respond to changes in immigration law with short notice trainings where appropriate

Tutor and content management 

• Contact, contract and manage ILPA’s panel of external tutors 

• Work closely with tutors on the overall planning and delivery, providing admin support in the production of accurate, up-to-date course materials

• Maintain and update appropriate guidance for tutors and conference chairs

Event delivery 

• Set up all events on Eventbrite, including pricing, discounts, communications and refunds 

• Host online events and support hybrid delivery of trainings and conferences when required, troubleshooting technical issues on the day 

Income, reporting and evaluation 

• Monitor and report on key data including bookings, attendance, costs and income

• Optimise participant feedback rates, monitor satisfaction and take action where needed

• Monitor trends and use data analysis to inform future programme planning

• Review pricing strategy and initiatives to inform recommendations

Marketing and engagement 

• Market events, including through ILPA’s weekly all-member update, targeted email updates to relevant working groups, selected social media and other communication channels to reach beyond our membership

• Respond to participant queries and ensure excellent customer experience

Systems and administration 

• Maintain accurate records, contracts, schedules and evaluation data

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies

• Make appropriate use of systems including Eventbrite and Salesforce to manage and analyse programme efficacy

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience managing training or professional development programmes

• Ability to think strategically and develop the training programme in response to feedback and changes in immigration policy.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to hold relationships with a range of stakeholders including senior practitioners, tutors, venues and ILPA members.

•Experience in event planning and in commissioning a variety of supporting services and vendors.

• Experience in event delivery and the ability to manage a small team to support delivery of an in-person event or conference.

• Strong digital and numerical skills including ticket management, online event, CRM platforms as well as Excel.

• Ability and confidence to host or facilitate online trainings and events

• Ability to work independently in a small charity team

• Strong organisational skills and confidence managing a busy scheduleand ability to resolve issues efficiently despite competing deadlines.

Role Summary

The Delivery Partner role is a key role in the Programme Support team, supporting the delivery of high-quality and high-impact interventions across the FFA programmatic offer. This might include, but not limited to, work experience, insight days and school talks. This role will work closely with programme teams to provide support in the delivery and coordination of programmatic activities. 

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Strategic purpose: 

• Supporting the delivery of high-quality and high-impact interventions across the FFA programmatic offer 

Engagement: 

• Supporting stakeholders including employers providing work experience programmes. 

• Supporting the delivery of work experience both virtually and in-person. 

• Sharing best practice with the rest of the delivery team based on own experiences. 

• Ensuring best practice understanding of virtual technologies used in the delivery of
  activities. 

• Supporting and covering for Customer Support colleagues as required. 

• Responding to work experience placement related enquiries from schools and students via email and telephone. 

• Supporting the delivery of other programmatic activities as determined by Head of
  Programme Support. 

Delivery: 

• Providing on demand support for technical difficulties faced by stakeholders during the delivery of activity. 

• Following work experience delivery processes using both our in-house software and that of external partners. 

• Facilitation of programmatic activity as determined by Delivery Partner Manager. 

• Co-ordinate all the defined delivery partner elements of FFA interventions.

• Following manual processes for programme delivery when necessary and updating systems accordingly. 

• CRM and data management, inputting new data and maintaining existing records
  regarding placements and contacts.

About The Role
Following an internal promotion within the team, we’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high profile national corporate partners, including our award-winning football fundraising campaign with Premier League clubs, and develop further the relationships, plans and opportunities that can grow their support for the Royal British Legion year after year. South East London Mind is looking for a Group Activities Facilitator, in our new Southwark Wellbeing Hub (SWH), to lead an exciting new programme of groups and activities across Southwark. The Group Activities Facilitator will create opportunities for people with mental health needs to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring Southwark residents have access to the support and community they need to thrive.

You will be a highly skilled facilitator with good knowledge of mental health and experience supporting people with mental health problems. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

As the Group Activities Facilitator, you will coordinate and facilitate a programme that brings group activities to community spaces across the borough. You will work in partnership with other delivery organisations and community facilitators, helping people feel more connected to the people and resources around them. This will include developing and refining a structured programme and continuously building on feedback.

• Developing and overseeing the safe delivery of a flexible programme of short-term groups to support wellbeing

About Us

The Comedy School draws on the power of comedy to improve wellbeing across community, health, education and criminal justice settings. Since 1998, we have co-designed and delivered workshops, courses and training projects that build confidence, resilience and life skills for socially isolated and vulnerable people. We have worked with individuals with mental health conditions in collaboration with South London and Maudsley Recovery College for 15 years, and in 2023 expanded this work to veterans in partnership with London’s NHS Veterans Mental Health Services. Our Comedy for Veterans programme delivers evidence-based interventions that improve confidence, connections, wellbeing and sense of purpose.

Purpose of Role: The Veterans’ Worker will lead on outreach and peer support within the Comedy for Veterans Project, with a specific focus on engaging veterans from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, and other communities underrepresented in traditional support pathways. The role aims to ensure inclusive participation, support mental wellbeing, and sustain long-term engagement with the project.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead outreach and engagement efforts to promote the Comedy for Veterans Project, focusing on building trust and participation among veterans from Black, ethnic minority, and underserved communities.
