About the role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Membership and Events Officer to join the Magistrates’ Association on a 12-month maternity cover basis.

This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting our membership, events and branch network. You will play a key part in ensuring our members receive a high-quality service, while also helping to strengthen and grow our local branch activity across England and Wales.  This role sits within our small staff team.

Alongside managing membership processes with our third party support organisation, you will take a lead role in delivering small national events and supporting our network of volunteer-led branches. This includes working closely with branch officers, delivering inductions, and helping to reinvigorate areas where engagement is lower.

About you

You will be someone who enjoys working across multiple areas, is comfortable managing competing priorities, and takes a proactive approach to getting things done.

You will have experience in membership support and event delivery, and be confident working with volunteers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, particularly in relation to managing data and financial processes.

A working knowledge of Direct Debit (BACS) processes, including renewals and handling failed payments, is important for this role.

Most importantly, you will be someone who is approachable, practical and able to build strong working relationships, helping to support and strengthen our branch network.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of an efficient and responsive membership service, including renewals and member enquiries
• Managing Direct Debit (BACS) processes, including renewals, collections and handling exceptions, alongside third party membership support organisation.
• Acting as a key point of contact for branch executives, providing support and guidance when needed.
• Supporting the reinvigoration of areas with low or declining MA representation
• Planning and delivering key events, including:
  • Four retired member events per year, including a Christmas lunch/dinner
  • Regional branch meetings (typically once per year across multiple locations)
  • The Royal Garden Party reception

· Administration of webinars, setting up of events using Wordpress

• Supporting the maintenance of accurate membership data and contributing to reporting
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and external partners

What we’re looking for

What you’ll be doing

You will produce excellent and compelling funding applications, based on thorough research. You will liaise with colleagues to help construct applications. Once funding is secured, you will steward your portfolio of funders to ensure that they are well informed about our work and inclined to provide us with further support. You will ensure that records are accurately maintained on our CRM system.

• Proven experience in Trusts Fundraising
• Demonstrable evidence of first-class writing skills, with the capacity to translate complex subject matter into a compelling, and easily understood case for support

The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.

The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. The role works closely with member organisations (MOs), regions, and speciality groups to enhance governance practices, ensure policy alignment, and support coherent decision-making across the global network.

The role also contributes to organisational direction by actively participating in the development and implementation of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan and supporting alignment with regional and other strategic plans.

1. Governance leadership and oversight

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee all governance functions and activities across World Physiotherapy.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with the constitution, bylaws, policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Regularly review and update governance frameworks, systems, and processes to align with international best practices.
• Provide authoritative advice and interpretation on governance matters to the CEO, board, and leadership structures.
• Develop and implement governance improvement initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness and accountability.
• Work collaboratively with the World Physiotherapy development and membership divisions to ensure organisational cohesion and effective delivery of the global mission.

2. Board and executive support

• Support and coordinate the development of high-quality board papers, briefings, and decision-support materials.
• Support the full lifecycle of board meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, logistics, and action tracking.
• Ensure timely circulation of clear, accurate, and structured information to support informed decision-making.
• Maintain and manage official governance records, including minutes, resolutions, and statutory documentation.
• Monitor follow-up actions and ensure implementation of board decisions.

3. General meeting (GM) management

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver all World Physiotherapy global and regional general meetings in accordance with constitutional requirements.
• Develop and manage timelines for GM preparation, including submission, review, and distribution of papers.
• Oversee the drafting and quality assurance of reports, motions, and official documentation.
• Ensure accurate recording of proceedings, decisions, and outcomes.
• Verify compliance with all procedural and constitutional requirements for general meetings.

4. Regional elections coordination

• Plan and oversee regional election processes, ensuring alignment with organisational rules, timelines, and standards.
• Develop and implement clear election procedures and guidance for regions in line with the constitution.
• Ensure elections are conducted transparently, fairly, and consistently across all regions.
• Provide advisory support to regional executive committees on governance and election matters.
• Maintain comprehensive records of election processes, results, and compliance.

5. Policy development and management

• Lead the drafting, review, and implementation of governance and organisational policies.
• Ensure policies are consistent, up to date, and aligned with strategic priorities and international standards.
• Provide expert policy advice and interpretation to the CEO, board, MOs, regions, and speciality groups.
• Establish and maintain systems to monitor policy implementation, compliance, and effectiveness. 

6. Strategic planning and alignment

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan.
• Support alignment between global strategy and regional and other relevant strategic plans.
• Provide governance input into strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with constitutional and policy frameworks.
• Monitor and report on governance-related strategic objectives and outcomes.

7. Support to member organisations, regions, and specialty groups

• Provide expert governance and policy advice to MOs, regions, and speciality groups.
• Develop practical tools, templates, and guidance to strengthen governance capacity across the network.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote best practices in governance globally.
• Respond to governance queries and provide timely, solution-oriented support.

8. Stakeholder engagement and communication

• Act as a central liaison on governance matters between the CEO, board, committees, and membership.
• Ensure consistent and transparent communication of governance processes, decisions, and requirements.

• Work closely with the communications and marketing team for the delivery of all key communications.

9. Continuous improvement and risk management

Person specification

Education and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, governance, business administration, international relations, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification (eg master’s degree) in governance, public policy, law, MBA, or related discipline (desirable).
• Professional certification in governance, compliance, or company secretariat (eg Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in governance or non-profit management.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent and accessible delivery, overseeing a team of six Regional Managers and a wider workforce of around 65 staff, volunteers and over 2,000 peer mentors trained each year.

Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. You will also play a key role in new business development, operational strategy, contractual delivery and ensuring we can reliably demonstrate the impact of our work.

The role requires an experienced operational leader with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for people facing disadvantage. You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• A track record of delivering large-scale programmes and leading distributed teams.

Following the successful secondment of a valued team member, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Wales team as an Operations Officer on a fixed‑term basis.
 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the operational delivery and development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), helping more young people to access our life‑changing programmes.
 

As an Operations Officer, you will manage and support a portfolio of Licensed Organisations (LOs) to ensure the delivery of a high‑quality DofE programme. Most LOs are schools, but you will also work with a diverse range of partners, including colleges, local authorities, charities, pupil referral units, youth groups and young offender institutions.
 

You will work closely with a team of Operations Officers across Wales, each responsible for their own portfolio. The role is field‑based, involving regular travel to meetings and events. When not attending meetings, you will work from home, and applicants must live within or very close to the allocated portfolio area.
 

Reporting to an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day contact with LOs and for supporting delivery of the Wales Business Plan. You will be a passionate advocate for the DofE, motivated to help achieve our ambition of giving more than one million young people the opportunity to participate in our programmes.

Welsh Language

Key Accountabilities

Your work will ensure that all legal requirements are met and that every legacy is handled with integrity. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Legacy team, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and contributing to projects that keep our work running smoothly.
You will also help raise awareness of legacy giving, making connections with key stakeholders and helping secure vital income for the Society. Every receipt you issue, every file you progress, and every relationship you nurture directly helps people living with dementia and their families.

About the role:

Responsibilities

Operations & Systems Coordination

• Maintain PLH’s internal systems, including shared drives and databases, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and managed in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Act as a first point of contact for operational queries via PLH’s central inbox, exercising judgement in responding to requests, signposting information, and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Support the development, documentation, and consistent application of internal policies and procedures, working with the Operations Manager to ensure alignment with UK charity best practice, safeguarding standards, and employment legislation.
• Identify opportunities for improving operational processes and support the implementation of agreed improvements.

Travel, Expenses & Events

• Coordinate organisational travel arrangements, ensuring bookings are safe, cost-effective, timely, and compliant with internal policies.
• Administer staff expense processes in collaboration with the Finance team, including checking submissions, tracking approvals, and following up on discrepancies.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements for in-person and virtual meetings and events, including scheduling, communications, and follow-up actions. 

Finance & Operational Reporting

• Coordinate the collection of staff timesheets and attendance data, producing accurate monthly attendance summaries for the Finance team.
• Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to ensure timely provision of operational and financial information. 

People Operations & HR Support

• Coordinate HR administration processes, including contracting, onboarding, and maintenance of staff records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
• Support the administration of PLH’s performance management framework, including tracking review cycles, documentation, and agreed actions.
• Assist in coordinating internal learning and professional development activities, supporting staff development and organisational capability.

Culture & Organisational Development

• Support initiatives that promote an inclusive, values-led organisational culture, with a focus on staff wellbeing, equity, and professional growth.
• Assist in coordinating internal communications and activities that strengthen connection and collaboration across a distributed team.

Essential criteria: 

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years experience of coordinating operational processes such as HR administration, finance processes, travel coordination, or internal systems ideally within a UK charity.
• High level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage information systematically.
• Confidence using digital tools and systems (e.g. shared drives, databases, spreadsheets, HR or finance systems) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to identify process improvements and support the implementation of agreed changes.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. 2

About the Role

As a Nature-based Solutions Officer you will support the delivery of the National Landscapes Association’s Nature-based Solutions programme, working closely with the Head of Nature-based Solutions to develop projects, partnerships and investment opportunities across the National Landscapes network.

You will help build a strong pipeline of investable nature-based solutions projects, support National Landscapes teams to design, develop and deliver high-quality initiatives aligned to national policy and market opportunities.

About you  

As a Business Analyst - Operating Model you will support the frontline improvement project with a range of initiatives, designed to improve efficiency and promote standard, consistent and effective ways of working across all our Pet Hospitals. The role will work closely with hospital teams and support functions throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle, documenting current and future state processes and requirements to inform effective solution design, testing and delivery.

This is a full‑time position working 35 hours per week on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will require occasional travel typically a few times per month to PDSA sites for visits or team meetings.

About you  

As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in enabling the successful delivery of projects, programmes and the wider portfolio by providing coordination, reporting and administrative support to the PMO. You will help ensure that project controls, standards and processes are consistently applied, supporting transparency and effective decision‑making across the change function.

In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on support with reporting, scheduling and stakeholder communication, as well as managing meeting coordination, documentation and general PMO administration. Acting as a central point of coordination, you’ll contribute to clear visibility, informed decisions and smooth delivery across the change portfolio.

We’re looking for someone with experience in a PMO or project support environment, ideally in an administrative capacity. Any expereince or understanding of project management methodologies would be desirable such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile. Confidence using tools like MS Project, Power BI or Smartsheet to support planning and reporting activities is essential.

This is an 18‑month fixed‑term contract, primarily home‑based, with travel to PDSA sites and our Head Office in Telford as required.

This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for assuring that First Responder training supported through ACCT UK for the Army Cadets is delivered in accordance with appropriate national governing bodies or appropriate awarding bodies, and that the appropriate qualifications are recorded on Westminster.

About the Giving Directorate and Net Zero Carbon Programme
The Church of England ministers to every community in England, and our mission and ministry is sustained and expanded through a culture of generous giving.

The Giving Directorate plays a vital role in equipping dioceses, parishes, and clergy with the tools and confidence to encourage generosity. Through strategic leadership, innovative resources, and collaborative partnerships, we aim to inspire giving that enables the Church to flourish in every community. We lead major funded projects that strengthen giving across the Church, ensuring that generosity is central to mission and ministry.

The growing department has four teams: Innovation & Insight (leading on innovations, the parish share project, data analysis and marketing); Parish Giving Scheme (giving mechanisms and technology); NZC Fundraising (including policy, philanthropy and gifts in wills) and Learning & Development (delivering training, mentoring, and equipping clergy and diocesan giving advisors, national and regional conferences, and developing online learning resources for parishes).
You will sit within the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team which leads the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure the significant additional funding needed to decarbonise the Church of England.

What you'll be doing

As the National Fundraising Policy and Compliance Lead you will be the strategic lead for ensuring a strong culture of fundraising compliance and best practice within the Church of England. You will work within the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team, which co-ordinates the biggest national fundraising programme within the Church of England, to support them to raise significant funds for the Net Zero Carbon Programme in an ethical and compliant way. You will also work with the Giving Directorate to ensure compliance across all their activities. You will create guidance, tools and resources that dioceses and local parishes can use to ensure they are compliant with key fundraising regulations, and create and deliver the training and case studies to support them. You will proactively advise the Head of Net Zero Fundraising on emerging topics of fundraising policy, such as the use of AI in fundraising and changes to key regulations.

This is a fixed-term contract role for three years, and interviews will take place week commencing 27 April.
