We are looking for a Live Well Little Hulton Development Worker who will play a central role in the development of a community-led network of trusted voices that will enable local people to access activities, services, and information in support of their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Initially, Live Well Little Hulton will use innovative and creative methods to engage with the community to establish baseline information and insights to inform the development of the network. This will include recruiting and supporting a small team of community researchers to undertake a community-wide audit.
The role of Live Well Little Hulton Development Worker is a great opportunity for an individual that has a passion for building on community strengths and assets to help establish a model that can be adapted for communities across Salford, Greater Manchester and beyond.
This post will be matrix managed by Salford CVS and CommUNITY Little Hulton. It will be based in the community and will require some evening as well as weekend working. This is a fixed-term role for two years where you will work 18.75 hours per week.
The Live Well Little Hulton Development Worker will be confident in working both as part of a team and collaborating with a wide range of community stakeholders, including residents, community groups, charities, local GP practices, Council Officers, and local businesses.

A registered Healthcare Professional (Registered Nurse or Paramedic) you will have experience of supporting families in difficult and often tragic circumstances and will have worked with a multi-disciplinary team of Healthcare Professionals.

As Project Lead for APAP's Night Shelter provision you will be responsible for a caseload of clients and the wider management of the Night Shelter project. You will work with clients from assessment, through to placement in our provision and then support them to move beyond homelessness.
We work in partnership to provide single room, 24 hour staffed accommodation to clients in our provision. You will take a lead on maintaining a relationship with the accommodation provider through regular liaison and communication. The Assessing Social Worker will be responsible for ensuring the success of TACT's projects and change initiatives. The successful candidate will take a pan-organisation view of all projects and other change activities and seek to ensure that the organisation’s leaders have timely, complete, relevant and accurate information on the status of change activities and early insights into potential issues and opportunities.
Whilst being homebased, the Assessing Social Worker will be required to travel for visits, across the East and West Midlands areas. There is also a requirement to be able to travel to Team meetings, wellbeing days, TACT away days and other in person events across the UK as and when required.
Core Assessing Social Worker Tasks include:
- Preparing applicants for the fostering role
- Promoting and supporting the development of trauma informed foster care / therapeutic parenting

The main role requirements for this role include:
- BA or Master’s in Social Work or Dip SW, CSS or CQSW qualification
- Social Work England Registration
- Post qualifying experience including relevant family placement work or post qualifying experience in other child-care settings which must include statutory childcare work
- Experience of assessing foster families and preparing them for the fostering tasks
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children and foster families, using a trauma-informed therapeutic approach

Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite/in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
