You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. About our team
Like many jobs, you will work with lots of different teams in different contexts. With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of regionally focused team of 7 that is part of our wider movement.
The successful candidate will be a part of our Central Region team of 7 workers who between us work across a region, from Suffolk to Gloucestershire, up to Shropshire, to Lincolnshire. Role purpose

The Challenge Events lead plays a critical role within the fundraising team, combining strategic oversight with a hands-on commitment to delivery excellence. This role will provide clear direction and structure to the planning and execution of our event portfolio, while remaining close to the operational detail — streamlining processes, refining supporter journeys, and driving performance through data, insight and continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for setting high standards across everything from partnership engagement to on-the-day execution. Key Responsibilities

- Lead on supporter acquisition strategy across owned and paid channels — including ballot management, grassroots marketing, and behavioural communications — to ensure high-quality leads, strong retention and long-term supporter engagement.
- Provide operational oversight, guidance and mentorship to the Events Fundraising Co-ordinator, ensuring clarity of roles, consistency of delivery, and strong compliance across all areas of shared responsibility.

Work environment
- The post holder should expect to:
- Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Main Purpose of Job
The Programme Coordinator – Careers, Events and Pathways is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of large scale employability events and progression initiatives for young people. These include careers fairs, widening and participation events and employer engagement activities designed to open access to real world opportunities. This role will lead events from planning and partner liaison to on-the-ground delivery and post-evaluation reporting.
The coordinator will work with employers, schools, colleges, and local authorities to co-create meaningful pathways for young people, ensuring activities are aligned with labour market needs and tailored to the aspirations of young people we are working with.
The coordinator will take a lead on developing and managing strategic partnerships with employers and external organisations to broker new opportunities and promote progression routes into education, employment or training.
Grounded in youth work values, the coordinator will offer mentoring, support, and guidance to help young people navigate their next steps, overcome barriers, and access the right pathway for their goals.

Youth Engagement and support
- Lead cohorts of young people through events and programmes. Supervise, take responsibility for the pastoral care, and ensure safety needs of the young people are always met.
- Engage and build positive relationships with young people to provide effective support, mentoring and coaching on a one-to-one and group basis where needed.
- Develop, implement, and lead on recruitment and engagement strategies to recruit and retain young people for events.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Record and monitor programme, partner and participant data using the relevant CRM systems ensuring all data is kept up to date.
- Ensure all administration tasks are completed accurately and within allocated time scales including handling personal data, managing expenses, safeguarding reporting, and risk assessments.
- Achieve weekly and monthly targets as set out by the Senior Manager, or partner organisation/ funder and regularly provide reports and monitoring information.
Leadership and Team Collaboration
- Lead and support casual staff to deliver high quality programmes, providing regular feedback and embedding reflective practice.
- Support the Senior Manager in recruitment, training, and supervision of casual delivery staff.
- Attend regular supervision sessions, team & organisation meetings, and complete compulsory training to enable all duties to be carried out effectively.

Main Responsibilities
A Senior Organiser is mastering the craft of community organising and taking increasing responsibility for developing major campaigns, managing budgets and managing staff. They operate with a high degree of independence and are significant contributors to CUK-wide functions such as training. Senior Organisers model the broad-based community organising methodology in their work including the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change.
You will bring communities together to drive change both locally, regionally, and nationally. This role will work closely with local civic institutions, such as churches, mosques, schools, universities, unions and other community groups to:

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. About the role:
As a Housing Domestic Abuse Advocate, you will provide intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse. Working within a fast-paced team, you will help empower women and ensure that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. You will have your own caseload of survivors who hold social tenancies with local authorities or housing associations, and you will encourage them to engage with our service and ensure they have access to support. You will also co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support which focuses on working with domestic abuse survivors to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG degree and be keen to learn and to train on the job. You will have a good understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families, and communities. You will have proven skills and experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including carrying out short risk management and safety planning. We will expect that you have experience in assessing the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have and an understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation with regard to legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children. Lastly you will bring your knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation.
With many skills and qualities to add to this role, if you have good IT literacy, data collection and monitoring these skills are maximised in your role. Right now, we are looking for a Community Engagement Practitioner to play a pivotal role in our Enfield VCS in Enfield.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, the individual will work as part of a multidisciplinary NHS team—alongside clinicians, social workers, and community partners—to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness. They will hold a caseload of service users, acting as a key point of contact and contributing to care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge support, using the RiO clinical records system. Working collaboratively with service users, they will co-develop person-centred recovery plans that prioritise social goals and community integration. Building strong therapeutic relationships using trauma-informed and strength-based approaches, they will support individuals in achieving personal recovery goals. The role includes helping service users access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. The individual will promote recovery-focused, jargon-free communication, advocate for co-production and integrated care, and liaise with both statutory and voluntary sector organisations to support effective service navigation. They will attend clinical meetings and community events, representing both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team, while maintaining accurate, timely documentation of all support activities and risk assessments. Safe and ethical practice is essential, including adherence to safeguarding protocols, health and safety procedures, and quality standards. Ongoing supervision, training, clinical oversight, and participation in annual appraisals will also form part of this role.

Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience working in a mental health setting. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery principles, and co-production, along with experience collaborating with professionals, services, and community partners. The candidate should have knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in IT systems, including electronic case management tools, is required. The candidate must be resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain clear professional boundaries, with a strong commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice. Desirable qualities include lived experience of mental illness or use of secondary care services, peer support training, knowledge of local community resources, and skills in training, mentoring, report writing, presenting, or speaking additional languages.
