This flagship programme, delivered in partnership with TDS, GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation, uses action research and behavioural‑insight‑informed interventions to understand and reduce unintentional non‑compliance among private landlords, with the aim of improving renting standards and supporting people in housing need.
We have a new 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity to join our Greater Manchester Good Landlord Charter/Landlord Support Hub team as a Research and Evaluation Manager.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead the project’s research and evaluation activities, including insight gathering, participatory research, and continuous testing of behavioural or supportive interventions.
- Design and evaluate behavioural interventions, assessing impact, outcomes and what works to inform future policy and operational practice.
- Collaborate closely with the Behavioural Insight Specialist and Landlord Support Manager, ensuring research is rigorous, ethical, and generates meaningful learning.
- Engage landlords, tenants, letting agents, and local authorities to gather data, understand barriers to compliance, and capture lived experience.
- Produce high‑quality reporting, including findings, recommendations, and insights to support both internal decision‑making and external stakeholders such as GMCA and the Nationwide Foundation.
- Represent the Research & Evaluation function at meetings, workshops and advisory groups, contributing to the wider aims of improving standards across the private rented sector.
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong experience in research, evaluation or insight‑gathering, ideally within housing, social policy, behavioural insights or community‑focused projects.
- Ability to design and apply research methods, including interviews, behavioural diagnosis, qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.
- Confidence managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Based in/near Greater Manchester, and able to travel across the region as needed.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced TESOL/TEFL professional to deliver high-quality English language teaching to adults living in Southend and/or London. The successful postholder will deliver engaging language lessons to groups of adult learners with different levels of English within community venues. The postholder will work closely with other members of Family Action staff, particularly those working in FOOD Clubs/Stores, which support people to maximise their income, learn new recipes and try new foods. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Food Services team at Family Action, supporting individuals to develop their communication skills, confidence, and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:
The role involves, for instance: planning lessons for groups of adult learners of English, ensuring they meet learners’ needs, learning styles and language level; adapting, where necessary, existing English language materials to meet the needs of each group of learners; delivering engaging lessons, encouraging learners’ participation through demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic approach; and completing learner assessments before and after each programme, as well as monitoring each individual’s learning during the programme. Main Requirements:
The successful candidate will:
· Have a Dip TESOL/DELTA or other similar level teaching qualification (eg PGCE including a TEFL element)
· Be experienced in delivering TESOL/TEFL sessions to groups of adults, particularly in diverse community settings (eg children’s centres)
· Have demonstrable knowledge of effective language teaching and learning strategies
· Have experience of assessing and monitoring students’ learning
· Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, food safety and healthy eating

Introduction
Afield is a brand new charity responding to environmental injustice. We do this by working with communities to rewild disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods; and by supporting artists to undertake ecological research. This exciting and demanding role will be right at the heart of making everything happen!
Objectives
You will work alongside Afield’s two co-founders to define and run the urban wilding and arts grants programmes, including managing the cohort of grantees. We are looking for dynamism, energy and experience of grant management to help us launch the first round of grants and a support programme.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the two co-founders you will set up the arts research and wilding programmes. This will include launching and running opencall and selection processes, and the cohort support programmes. Once established you will lead subsequent programmes, and plan for future cohorts. About the Role
One of Learning with Parents’ objectives over the next five years is to evidence how best to drive inclusive parental engagement. We are looking for an individual with experience in monitoring and evaluation to join our team.
The Evaluation Manager will be responsible for evaluating our programmes to capture the impact we have, inform improvements internally and share insights externally. The role will begin with implementing an existing evaluation plan and develop into leading improvements and innovations in our evaluation strategy. It will involve primary research, such as leading focus groups in schools, as well as analysis of quantitative and qualitative data generated by our platform and surveys of parents and teachers. It will also involve reporting this data and supporting others to do so. The Evaluation Manager will be responsible for maintaining tools and processes around evaluation and ensuring strong internal and external communications of findings.
This is a role which involves extensive collaboration across different internal teams and with external stakeholders such as schools and funders.
Areas of Responsibility
Evaluation design and planning

Main purpose of the role
The Community Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Community is living the mission of L’Arche, by providing excellent and sustainable care and support services, support for spirituality, and engaging with our neighbours and the wider community around us.
The Community Leader will:
- Lead the Community by responding to the needs, choices and context of our members while being faithful to the L'Arche UK Vision and Values, the L'Arche International Identity and Mission Statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan;

Key essential criteria
- Senior leadership experience in support to adults with learning disabilities (or transferable skills and experience in a closely related field);

- Good financial planning skills and experiences of successfully managing a substantial budget;

About the Role
TRAINING OFFICER
We provide training and consultancy to organisations that work directly with care-experienced young people, in order to upskill and develop professionals who are committed to improving outcomes for children in care and care leavers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Training Officer to plan, design and deliver training content that makes a real impact. We are seeking an excellent facilitator to deliver this important provision, who is creative, professionally curious and has strong organisational and self-administration skills.
The Training Officer will be involved in delivering our standard courses, alongside developing new and innovative pieces of work, including digital, online and in-person training packages. They will also support the delivery, assessment and ongoing development of an accredited learning programme for Personal Advisers in Leaving Care Service Teams.
Location
Our team currently work remotely from home, with the required attendance of in-person meetings (generally expected once or twice per month). In-person meetings usually take place in our office space in Old Street, London and Become covers the cost of travel within Great Britain for essential in-person meetings.
The role of Training Officer also requires regular delivery of training sessions at client venues across England (travel expenses covered).
The Old Street office space is available for team members to work from if preferred. For non-London based team members hot-desking options near you can be requested if required.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. We are looking someone who will thrive in a varied and innovative role as a fixed-term Project Worker in the Adult and Family Learning team. You will be based at our Maryhill (Glasgow) centre with frequent travel to our centres in Govan and Craigmillar (Edinburgh). This is a role focused on how we can offer additional impactful support in the local communities in which our Scotland centres are based. The Adult and Family Learning team will work in close collaboration with colleagues at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The pilot will focus on supporting the parents, carers and families of young people accessing the centres, with the potential for this to extend to wider adults in the community. As a Project Worker you will deliver the programme and support the Adult and Family Learning Manager to plan and develop activities tailored according to and with an understanding of the different communities in which it will be offered.
Working with colleagues based at the three centres, you will provide a range of activities which will support parents and carers to support their children in their learning, develop their own skills and knowledge around employment and education, and provide a range of family learning activities to engage the whole family together.
