The Content Officer will create high-quality, on-brand written, visual, and video content to share our scientific research and practical conservation work across our website, social media, and other platforms.

About the Role

We're an organisation that's all about people, our customers are Members of the organisation and the Membership Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and maximising sales for Kings Camps. Working with the Head of Sales, Service and Brand to deliver key Membership initiatives and line-manage the Membership team to drive sales and excellent service across the UK. The Membership Manager will also have training provided to contribute to our Safeguarding Team and Behavioural Support Team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

• Understand all aspects of the Kings Camps booking and membership services
• Understand and deliver sales and service targets
• Ensure all child details are accurate, updated and provided to relevant staff
• Monitor performance of current activities and develop new initiatives to improve customer experience and membership sales.
• Work with Head of Sales, Service and Brand to develop new initiatives and strategies and implement within Membership accordingly.

Sell

• Provide excellent customer service to both new enquiries and existing members
• Maximise bookings from potential and existing members
• Proactive telephone calls to members to encourage bookings and gather feedback
• Build our reputation with members by communicating Kings Camps values and personality consistently in all interactions

Support

• Provide timely and appropriate response to enquiries, questions and complaints
• Provide requested information to members via phone, email, post or other means
• Process supporting families, group and business bookings in line with pre-agreed targets and with guidance from the Head of Sales, Service and Brand
• Provide regular reporting to the Head of Sales, Service and Brand
• Provide other support for marketing and membership activities as requested by the Head of Sales, Service and Brand.

About the Team

You will be part of the Help for Heroes Community Fundraising Team, who work together to build support in the community to secure donations and build long time partnerships with community organisations / supporters and volunteers to deliver the annual community fundraising budget year on year. You will report to the National Senior Fundraising Manager and work collaboratively across the charity to drive income to support our veterans and their families.

Key tasks

• To establish and maintain a communications strategy and plan for Chambers, utilising the latest in digital communication methods.
• To manage the promotional activities of Chambers, its Practice Teams, and individual members, by managing and developing:
  • Its website and social media,
  • Webinars, podcasts and other digital training methods, 
  • In-person training and promotional events.
• To assist the HoPM by promoting Chambers to professional clients.

• Engaging barrister members and pupils to produce high quality training and promotional material for the website and social media, including content production such as webinars, podcasts and vlogs.

• Identifying potential new clients to the PMgT and assisting them in the promotion of Chambers.
• Maintaining and developing professional client contact lists, mailing lists and databases, in conjunction with the Practice Teams and PMgT.
• Coordinating, advertising and managing training and promotional events in conjunction with Practice Teams and the PMgT.  This to include maximising outcomes from events.
• Liaising with outside bodies, including legal associations, charities and NGOs to promote the engagement of members of Chambers and the standing of Chambers as a whole.

Person Specification

The individual will have:

• A clear understanding and commitment to the ethos of Chambers.
• Experience of developing and maintaining an organisational communications strategy.
• A strong technical understanding of website and social media platform management and content production.
• Experience of the use of a range of digital communications for promotion and development.
• The ability to draft clear, engaging copy and undertake editing, under pressure.

The successful applicant will be confident and articulate, and may have relevant experience in the NGO, international organisation, development or charity sector.  A general understanding of the way the legal profession is organised and works will be helpful but not essential.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join Young Lives vs Cancer as we set up a new Brand Marketing and Communications function including a team of digital experts.

We are looking to recruit two Digital Marketing Officers to join the newly created Digital Engagement team working to deliver exceptional digital activity that delivers against organisational objectives. One successful candidate will lead on supporting social channels and the other on email marketing, however both roles will be expected to work across all digital channels and cover for each other as necessary.

You will work on digital campaigns across email, organic social and paid digital marketing channels, including PPC and social media. This role will be vital in setting up a new digital hub of expertise within the organisation and helping to drive forward the best use of digital channels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work with stakeholder teams to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness.
• Work closely with colleagues creating content and landing pages on the website to optimise supporter journeys through digital channels

Energise Sussex Coast is a community benefit society. Our mission is to work together to end fuel poverty and protect the environment through community led local green power & energy saving schemes.

We are looking for an energetic and creative person to organise and deliver a calendar of engaging and inspiring energy and climate themed events and outreach activities across East Sussex. The events will cover the following themes: saving and sharing energy, insulation, solar and batteries, renewable heat, funding energy efficiency measures, creating healthy and mould-free homes etc.

About you

You are committed to getting the information out there about the transition to zero carbon in a way that is engaging and brings communities together.

You have experience of organising events or other engagement activities.  You bring a proactive attitude to the role. You are confident and self driven but enjoy working in cooperation to achieve common goals and to increase your impact. You are a creative thinker with some great ideas about how to engage communities in the transition to a fossil free future and ensure that no one is left behind.

You are a great advocate and because you believe in community energy are happy to promote our services to other organisations and groups with the aim of increasing the number of residents we can support with energy advice and who are able to engage in the transition to a more sustainable future.

You have a high standard of written and verbal communication skills. You are organised with an attention to detail and respect for the importance of collecting data to enable monitoring and evaluation of the project.  You want to improve the events by collecting and listening to feedback and implementing improvements. You value the input of our service users, volunteers and staff team into the design of the events programme.

Responsibilities

- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.

- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.

- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.

- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.

- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.

- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.

- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.

- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.

- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.

- Create and work to agreed budgets.

- Ensure you are collecting the data needed to monitor and evaluate the project.

- Create inclusivity in the event registration and attendance experience to support people with a variety of needs.

- Ensure events feed into the wider work and services of Energise Sussex Coast.

- Provide event reports to manager detailing the number of attendees, write-up of the event, and feedback.

- Provide general assistance with ESC events and projects as required.

- Adhere to Energise Sussex Coast’s policies around safeguarding, data protection, etc.

- Attend monthly in-person team meetings in Hastings.

Key Details

• Hours: 30 hours a week, flexible working. Will include some evening and weekend work.
• Job location: Home based (or optional hot desk in Hastings) with regular events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne and Wealden. Please note, travel costs to the events will only be paid from a local East Sussex postcode, we would not be able to cover the cost of travelling to events from London or further afield.

Criteria

Essential

1. Professional experience or a personal commitment to the pressing importance of the transition to a sustainable, fossil fuel free future

2. Experience of organising events or community engagement.

3. Experience or an understanding of the importance of quality data collection, monitoring and evaluation, for example collecting and analysing event feedback

4. Effective administration and organisational skills, with good time management and high attention to detail

5.     Good written and verbal communication skills

6. Experience working in a team for shared objectives and self-motivated to work independently.

Desirable

7. A qualification in a relevant field: events, marketing or climate/ energy

8. Experience of working with volunteers

About The Role 
This role will use all elements of digital communication to put supporters at the heart of our communications work. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role involves overseeing all aspects of digital communications including developing our website, overseeing email communications with supporters, and managing our social media platforms (including paid for social media advertising).

You will need experience in managing all digital channels for a charity or a similar organisation as well as an understanding of the needs of different audiences. But, most importantly, you will have a passion for creating and sharing engaging and relevant content across multiple channels. You will be keen to test new approaches and quickly learn what is working. You will also have a passion for amplifying the voices of the families we work with and a commitment to diversifying the stories we tell and ensuring that voices from minority or marginalised communities are heard.

You will combine the ability to manage the technical side of maintaining websites and social media accounts, with an understanding of the power of the right words and images to communicate our messages.
