The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our websites, CharityJob and Charity Connect. As an integral part of our team you will work very closely with us through daily standups, sprint planning meetings, and many discussions on Teams video calls to ensure the successful delivery of our projects. You will also collaborate closely with our product and QA teams to ensure the highest quality of our deliverables.
We’re seeking a developer with strong .NET and Azure expertise, along with solid front-end skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ReactJS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test and maintain features for Charityjob using .NET 9 and SQL Server.
- Work with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Azure Cognitive Search.
- Collaborate daily via Microsoft Teams with Product Managers, QA, and fellow developers.
- Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and occasionally ReactJS.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
- Offer technical input on architecture and best practices, and support less experienced developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in .NET web development (ideally .NET Core / .NET 8 or 9).
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and experience designing relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (SQL, Storage, Search, etc.).
- Front-end development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ReactJS.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile setting.
Desirable
- Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices.
- Prior experience working on high-traffic websites or job boards.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and enthusiastic to join our Supporter Care team, who will carry out essential supporter engagement and administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials. With previous experience of providing excellent customer service, you will have the ability and confidence to communicate with a variety of people, engaging with supporters by phone, email and in writing about a wide range of enquiries.
The Supporter Care team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is often the first point of contact in the charity for supporters, potential donors and members of the public. The Supporter Care Administrator works alongside five other team Executives handling supporter enquiries, processing donations, and thanking supporters to ensure an excellent standard of customer care and to generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role reports to the Senior Supporter Care Officer (SSCO) and ensures that the team successfully deliver an efficient and a first-class supporter experience for the charity.
This role will be known internally as Supporter Care Executive*
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Supporter engagement
· Answering inbound telephone calls; responding to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.
· Managing email enquiries, either by responding or forwarding as necessary.
· Responding to written enquiries received in the post.
· Making outbound telephone calls in order to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; including thanking, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and reactivating lapsed donors.
· Recording feedback received by the charity and assisting in the resolution of complaints.
· Champion high quality supporter care, ensuring that all supporters and members of the public have an excellent experience when contacting the charity.
Donation processing, database and general administration
· Processing donations from telephone calls and mailings, acknowledging supporters appropriately.
· In Memoriam giving; sending out materials, processing donations and sending appropriate acknowledgements to donors, Funeral Directors, and the Next of Kin.
· Regular giving; processing new Direct Debit instructions and Standing Order payments, amending and cancelling gifts as necessary.
· Processing and thanking donations relating to regional fundraising and sporting events.
· Ensuring the integrity of the database (currently Salesforce), by amending supporter details as necessary.
· Opening and batching incoming post.
· Updating team procedures as required.
· Archiving, scanning and filing documents.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. The Role
Our donors are vital to delivering our mission and we are looking for a motivated, empathetic, and creative individual to help ensure every person who chooses to support our life-saving service feels valued and knows the impact of their support. This is a new and strategically important role, created to help us build stronger, longer lasting relationships with donors. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager the successful candidate will support in the delivery of the Individual Giving strategy, programme and associated campaigns. They will play a key role in shaping and delivering personalised supporter journeys that foster loyalty, increase lifetime value, and strengthen the emotional connection between our supporters and our mission. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to use their creativity and drive to make a real difference to the people of Scotland.
This role will work alongside the fundraising and marketing and communications teams, and engage with the wider organisation — including pilots and paramedics — to share the story of SCAA and ensure our supporters feel connected to our mission.
This is a full-time role based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, where SCAA headquarters are located, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport (if based in Aberdeen there will be the requirement for the successful candidate to attend our Perth base on an occasional basis). How you will make a difference
Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, you will identify and qualify new prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants, and Corporate Partnerships. Key Responsibilities
Grants Administration and Co-ordination
- Support the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager in preparing, reviewing and documenting memoranda of understanding, agreements, agreement modifications according to the needs of Islamic Help.
- Coordination of the due diligence process with partners.
- Support the Programme Development & Partnerships Manager to develop, finalise and monitor partner funding.
- Support the preparation and follow-up of grants opening meetings, monthly review meetings, and grant closing meetings.
- Ensure that office grants are processed in a timely and effective manner in accordance with our policies, procedures and standards.
- Provide support to approved projects and ensure there is continuous oversight and support throughout the project management cycle including financial and periodic reporting.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats (e.g. reports, presentations, social media, websites)
- Good numerical skills with experience working with financial data and using Microsoft Excel functions
- Excellent IT skills, particularly with databases, spreadsheets, email and word processing (preferably Microsoft Office)
- Highly organised, able to manage own workload, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines consistently
The ability to communicate in Welsh is also desirable.

You will have a background of successfully securing grants from trusts and foundations within the charitable sector and have strong grant management skills, from researching prospects through to the production of compelling and successful proposals for funding. With excellent communication and writing skills you will be able to develop persuasive bids and build and steward relationships, demonstrating the impact of funders’ investment. You will be comfortable in managing a busy workload and to strict deadlines, working with our Africa and UK programmes team to achieve key targets and contributing to wider fundraising efforts, including through events and the growth of earned income streams.
