About the role

We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Immigration Adviser to join our warm, dedicated team in Bournemouth. Our preference is for someone accredited at IAA Level 2 (or Level 3) in Immigration, as this will allow you to take on Level 2 immigration work from the outset.

We are also open to candidates with IAA asylum accreditation and experience, and depending on the successful candidate, we may explore developing elements of asylum work that can be undertaken without a legal aid contract. This would be shaped collaboratively with the person we recruit.

Solicitors or barristers with strong immigration experience are also welcome to apply.

What you’ll do

 In this role, you’ll offer high‑quality immigration advice to people who are often navigating incredibly challenging moments in their lives. You will manage your own caseload of Level 2 immigration matters, supporting clients with clarity, care and professionalism.

Where appropriate, and depending on your accreditation and experience, you may also contribute to limited areas of asylum work that fall outside the legal aid contract, ensuring we manage demand responsibly and sustainably.

 A big part of the role involves building trusting, compassionate relationships with the people you support, helping them understand their options and feel confident in their next steps. You’ll work closely with colleagues, partners and statutory agencies to move cases forward, contribute to our weekly drop‑in, and ensure that safeguarding, data protection and professional standards are always upheld.

You’ll keep your IAA registration, knowledge and CPD fully up to date, and play an important part in helping us grow and develop ICN’s immigration service, shaping how we support our community into the future.

Who we’re looking for

· Are IAA accredited at Level 2 or 3 in Immigration (preferred) and/or Asylum, or are a solicitor/barrister with relevant immigration experience

· Have at least 12 months’ experience delivering immigration advice

· Are confident managing your own caseload

· Build rapport easily with people from diverse backgrounds

· Are organised, detail‑driven and able to work to deadlines

· Work well independently and collaboratively

YOUTH OUTREACH WORKER: Violence Against Women and Girls (Female Applicants Only*)

Youth violence is a problem that significantly affects young people, their families and entire communities. At Oasis, we believe that violence can be prevented by taking a holistic public health approach. Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a range of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. Through this holistic approach we have been instrumental in shaping the way young people are supported after experiencing trauma, violence or aggression.

Oasis Youth Support at North Middlesex Hospital is seeking a dedicated Outreach Worker: Violence Against Women and Girls Specialist to accompany young women who attend North Middlesex Hospital A&E department due to a violent or aggressive incident, on their journey to make positive choices with the aim of breaking the cycle of violence through 1:1 mentoring.

You will be part of a large team based at the hospital and supported by the Youth Support Project Coordinator, as well as the wider Community Hub Team based in Ponders End, Enfield.

 The key responsibilities within the role are:

· Support young people and develop a bespoke mentoring programme that meets their needs

· Develop and evaluate a model of care that enables young people to benefit from community based interventions

· Planning and delivering sessions focusing around specific areas of violence against women and girls for young people and professionals

· Assisting the team by facilitating high quality information gathering/sharing to track the support given and the success of the project

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Are passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives

· Have the ability to build positive relationships with young people as well as professionals

· have a relevant professional qualification (e.g. JNC, QTS, QSW), or relevant experience

· Have experience of working in a youth/community setting affected by youth crime

· Experience of mentoring / supporting young people

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and organise your own time

Advance's Young Londoners Victim Service is looking for a Triage Worker who can provide individual assessment of impact and risk within the Young Londoners Victim Service Model, through dedicated telephone or online-based intervention and comprehensive, holistic intake processes.

About You:

To be successful as the Triage Worker you will need the below experience and skills:

You bring strong experience in coordination and administration which will enable you to manage referrals to the service on a daily basis. You ensure that all data and information is entered accurately into the case management system and manage the shared email inboxes responding to queries in a timely manner. You have previous experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting. You demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain strong, constructive working relationships and partner with partnerships with relevant statutory and voluntary groups.

About the role:

This role is home based in West Cumberland with regular travel to meet clients & colleagues as well as attending meetings & court hearings.

As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) you will be: -

• providing a high quality, pro-active service to victims of sexual violence and abuse (including children and young people), supporting those at highest risk and need.
• working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Bridgeway SARC and other local partnership responses to sexual violence.
• working with survivors and other agencies to monitor the care pathway, including risk assessment, helping clients access their rights and supporting with any other services they require.

You will need: -

More than anything the right attitude and a willingness to learn are key to becoming an ISVA. Experience of working with victims of sexual violence and other service providers and agencies in a statutory, voluntary, social or community setting would be an advantage although we would be keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate how your skills and experience can be applied to this role.

You must have extensive experience of planning and delivering caseloads, with strong crisis management skills and an understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence. An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post although candidates with the right approach and a willingness work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.

To be successful in this role you should have good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues and an understanding of the effects a court appearance can have on victims and witnesses of crime are also essential.

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims of APV/CPV, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of APV/CPV victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service. Deliver individually appropriate tailored support and information, advocacy, and practical support.
• Work with victims of APV/CPV to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe. Develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the risks and needs assessment.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Work within the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Adult and Children's Boards.
• Providing advocacy and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
• Support the empowerment of the client.
• Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.

About you:

You will need:

• A good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
• A good understanding of APV/CPV and/or domestic abuse including the impact of these on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
• Understand Safeguarding issues and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Direct service delivery experience to victims of domestic abuse or APV/CPV
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations

TACT Wales are looking for a Male children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support a young male who lives with his very supportive foster family. The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in engagement and participation with vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma, care experienced children or have similar experience in child-facing settings. Activities would include completing one-one work with life skills, and developing a trust relationship, and taking to activities. High level of flexibility required to cover weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Occasionally may be required to support with overnight residentials and night support within the foster home. Car driver and owning a car is essential. Co‑Design and Co‑Production Worker

BDEF’s Director previously supported Bristol City Council Adult Social Care to create a Co‑production Policy. This policy was developed because there was no clear, fair, or consistent way for the Council to involve people with lived experience of using Adult Social Care services.

• Is designed through co-production between Disabled people, Carers, Community and Voluntary Sector workers and council officers.
• Clearly defines consultation, engagement, co‑design and co‑production.
• Sets expectations for inclusive, equitable involvement.
• Has been fully adopted and approved by Adult Social Care.
• Is intended to guide all future Adult Social Care work.

Following feedback, Bristol City Council has now contracted BDEF, a Disabled‑people‑led organisation, to take this work forward. This, as part of this contract, role will focus on supporting, embedding and putting the policy into practice, ensuring that people with lived expertise are meaningfully involved in shaping Adult Social Care services.

The role will work closely with people with lived expertise of Adult Social Care services (Disabled people and carers among others), Bristol City Council Adult Social Care officers, community and voluntary organisations and BDEF colleagues. The role holder will work directly with BDEF Director who will offer advice and support.

About the Role

The Campaigner will support the development and delivery of campaigns that drive positive change within food systems. This role is ideal for someone early in their campaigning career who is passionate about influencing decision‑makers, mobilising public support, and helping deliver strategic impact across a variety of issues within food systems from dismantling industrial farming to delegitimising large corporations like large supermarket chains.
