The Duty Manager works alongside another Duty Manager, both of whom report into the Leisure Operations Manager. This role supervises a team of Leisure Assistants/ Lifeguards; and works closely with the customer teams across the site, swimming teachers, and lifeguards to maintain ongoing service delivery expectations.

The Duty Manager is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the swimming pool and delivering a high quality and safe experience for users of Leisure Centre facilities. We expect you to come with experience of having worked in a customer facing role, where you will be able to hit the ground running. Part of your role will support the management and maintenance of the pool plant. We are looking for someone enthusiastic, motivated, and customer focused. You must demonstrate a strong commitment towards ensuring excellence in customer service and enhancing customer experience. What you will be doing 

Leisure Centre Operations 

• Provide outstanding customer service experiences via a welcoming frontline duty management service, dealing with account enquiries and supporting bookings.
• You will work an early or late shift, on a rotational basis, to ensure lifeguard and duty manager cover is available while the Leisure Centre is open, Monday – Sunday.
• Support the organisation of lifeguard training, including NPLQ renewals, competency assessments, quarterly lifeguard observations; maintaining training records as required.
• Supervise the leisure retail shop, including sales, inventory control and daily reconciliation.
• Cover lifeguard shifts where there are gaps to ensure ongoing operations.
• Support the Operations & Duty Manager to ensure the rota is proactively staffed each week.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of staff attendance and absence data each shift.
• Support new leisure staff inductions and training requirements.
• Ensure your training and competence is achieved and maintained, taking responsibility for your ongoing professional development.

Centre Health & Safety 

• Support management in maintaining the safety of the leisure facilities, ensuring working best practices and compliance with legislation, and completion of KPIs by the leisure team.
• Support the day-to-day management of the pool plant operation, ensuring regular maintenance tasks and KPI checks are undertaken according to schedule.
• Ensure the reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses are done in a timely manner.
• Ensure reporting of any hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the Facilities team. 

Corporate Responsibilities 

• Actively promote London Youth’s policy and procedures to value and respect diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your duties and working relationships.
• Manage resources to the highest standards and act as a custodian of best practice.

What you bring to the role 

Experience, Knowledge & Skills 

• Experience working in leisure in a supervisory or management capacity as a Duty Manager, Senior Lifeguard Assistant, or similar.
• Experience working in a customer facing environment, providing the highest levels of customer service, managing communications, resolving conflict.
• Experience of working with a range of customers, including young people and adults, with different backgrounds and varying needs.
• Working knowledge of health and safety best practice and legislation in leisure facilities.
• Experience supervising and/or line managing people, including training and induction.
• Experience carrying out lifeguard observations.
• Computer literate and competent using Microsoft Office applications.

Job description:
This exciting role will suit an experienced fundraising leader who can deliver strategically and influence at a senior level both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be as comfortable presenting to a room of potential supporters as they will managing a complex funding application or persuading a high-profile funder to come on board. They will devise and implement fundraising initiatives and strategies to build and manage partnerships, working creatively to grow existing funding and establish new income sources.

Reporting to the external relations director, this role will manage the fundraising manager and trusts fundraiser. They will also be part of Frontline’s leadership group. The role is for a six-month fixed-term contract as we are revisiting and updating our fundraising strategy in line with organisational changes. The postholder will be able to help input and develop the new fundraising approach and strategy.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with the external relations director to review, evolve and implement the long-term organisational fundraising strategy, to meet the growing need for income through a variety of diverse sources
• Identify and cultivate new relationships with corporates, HNWI and trusts and foundations, to meet organisational fundraising targets
• Manage key relationships with existing donors and grow these to become a sustainable longer-term income stream
• Support the fundraising manager and trusts fundraiser with management of their accounts (including writing inspiring applications and reports), as well as with developing pipelines and implementing new ideas for raising income
• Design and deliver a programme of inspirational cultivation and stewardship activities, including events, in collaboration with the events officer
• Maintain robust processes around budgeting, forecasting and planning, working closely with the finance and delivery teams

Purpose of the Fundraising Department

The International Fundraising Department within Greenpeace International (GPI) ensures a clear focus on global income opportunities and challenges in partnership with National and Regional Offices (NROs). Primary responsibilities

Global fundraising strategy

● Lead and manage the design and implementation of the Global Fundraising Strategy as it relates to major giving, including strategic partnerships with institutional funders and individual major donors, legacy, and capital campaigns.

● Accountable for the design and implementation of the Key Relationships area of the Global Fundraising Strategy, including tracking and monitoring the success of its implementation.

● Lead, advise, and support the work done by GPI fundraising staff and NRO leaders in the key relationships area.

● Collaborate across GPI functions and departments to ensure alignment and integration of the Key Relationships Strategy with other organisational objectives, strategies, and plans.

People management

● Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of fundraising managers and coordinators across various areas of high value fundraising.

● Provide task management and direction to staff from other areas of International Fundraising and across GPI departments who contribute to fundraising deliverables. 

● Drive team performance through objective setting, performance reviews, coaching and development to ensure fundraising objectives are met.

National and Regional Organisation (NROs) support

● Oversee strategic and operational support provided to NROs to build the fundraising capacity and expertise required to deliver ambitious fundraising strategies and goals based on the respective market potential.

● Provide strategic advice and support to NROs for the development of the philanthropy and legacy elements of their 3-Year Strategic Plans and their annual organisational development plans.

● Support NROs in recruiting and onboarding experienced fundraising directors and strategic fundraising roles.

Communities and stakeholders

● Strengthen the fundraising director’s community of practice alongside fellow Strategic Fundraising Managers and the International Fundraising Director to foster a collaborative space for addressing global fundraising challenges and opportunities.

● Facilitate regular exchanges with other key leadership communities (such as Engagement and Programme Leaders) in areas of joint interest. 

● Build strong working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to represent Greenpeace’s interests and enable effective cooperation and knowledge-sharing across fundraising areas.

● Foster collaboration with cross-functional departments (such as Development, Technology, Finance and Programme) to co-design and implement highly engaging campaigns with strong fundraising potential and deliver robust proposals for key funders.

Financial, policy, and systems management

● Ensure the effective budgeting, management, and expenditure of internal resources.

● Oversee the budgeting and reconciliation of income from Priority Global Funders, individual major donors, and legacy gifts to GPI. 

● Serve as the product owner for the key relationships CRM.

● Hold responsibility for the development and implementation of global policies related to key relationships fundraising. 

Profile

Skills and qualifications

● Significant (7 years +) experience in a senior fundraising management role with a focus on philanthropy, of which at least four years leading international teams.

● Experience leading a capital campaign.

● Strong leadership abilities with experience building and developing exceptional teams to achieve fundraising goals.

● Strong track record of developing successful global proposals for large funders.

● Track record of leading the design and implementation of impactful global fundraising strategies.

Change Mental Health is looking for a Team Lead to support the delivery of our community mental health services across Highland.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining day-to-day team management with direct mental health practice. You’ll lead and support staff across our Hub and Outreach services, helping ensure people receive consistent, high-quality and person-centred support. 

About the role
You’ll manage staff and service delivery, provide regular supervision and work reviews, oversee referrals and caseload allocation, and help your team develop their practice.

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you’ll maintain a small caseload where appropriate and remain involved in 1:1 support, group activities and community-based mental health work. You’ll also work closely with local partners, identify opportunities for service improvement and use outcome information to help demonstrate the impact of our work.

• Experience working in community-based, recovery-focused or non-clinical mental health services.

• Experience delivering structured 1:1 support and outcome-focused planning.

FareShare Midlands is looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead its fundraising strategy and build the sustainable income needed to support its work tackling hunger, food waste and poverty across the Midlands.

This is a senior role with responsibility for growing income across trusts and grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving and events, while developing new opportunities through major donor fundraising. You will lead the fundraising team, set direction and priorities, and build the partnerships and relationships needed to deliver long-term growth.

Working closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, Finance and Communications teams, you will identify new funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals and pitches, strengthen existing relationships and ensure supporters are well stewarded. You will also play an important role in developing FareShare Midlands’ fundraising infrastructure, including making better use of its database to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience of securing income and building relationships with senior decision-makers, alongside a strong track record of delivering against fundraising targets. You will be confident developing strategy and turning insight into action, with the communication skills to represent the charity with donors, businesses and other external stakeholders.

Our core services

We provide culturally and spiritually sensitive support for ethnic minority women experiencing mental and emotional distress, empowering them to engage more responsively with mainstream and other relevant services where they may experience barriers.

We do this through 1 to 1 key working, group work, including peer group support, promoting a better understanding of mental distress and mental health promotion and illness prevention, signposting and working with other services to promote the equality and diversity agenda.

We support and enable an active service user voice not only in developing our own services, but also in service development for other health and social care organisations.

Key objectives of the post

The new CEO will enthusiastically support and assist the Board of Trustees in carrying out the objectives and fulfilling the Mission Statement of Roshni Ghar, work within and promote the service user led ethos of Roshni Ghar.

They will maintain and develop high-quality services which aim to reduce the emotional and mental distress experienced by ethnic minority women and exceed the current funding levels in order to expand the organisation. They will continue and further develop the commitment to ensure that Roshni Ghar provides a range of culturally appropriate activities and services and continue and further develop the strong track record of community engagement and the strong emphasis on partnership working.

Key areas of responsibility

• To have overall responsibility for operational, service and performance management issues.
• To provide support and help assist in the development of all members of Roshni Ghar.

The CEO will work closely alongside all internal stakeholders of Roshni Ghar to plan, implement and evaluate the organisation’s Business Plan, as well as alongside the Board of Trustees to seek out, develop and evaluate new business opportunities. They will seek out and acquire new fundraising opportunities and, equally, to promote our services citywide.

This role will also improve and develop effective relationships with partner organisations, establish and develop profitable relationships and partnerships with funders, community mental health teams, and the wider voluntary sector and actively endorse and positively promote Roshni Ghar across all aspects of the media.

Management responsibilities will include ensuring financial sustainability and growth of the organisation and ensuring that Roshni Ghar continues to meet the high standards set by Funders. The CEO will be responsible for all activities relating to human resources and work alongside the Board of Trustees to develop and implement all organisational policies and procedures. They will also actively ensure that all feedback procedures and communications are operating effectively and perform any other tasks as identified by the Trustees, and commensurate with the grade of this position.

The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification, proven experience in leadership and developmental management in one or more organisations, experience of managing Budgets, Risk, Quality and safety as well as experience of leading outcomes-based management processes. They will be able to speak Urdu, Punjabi or Bangla , will have worked in a mental health setting with ethnic minority women and will be familiar with changing statutory care funding requirements and the social, medical and public health models of mental health.

Essential skills and abilities for this position include resilience, high level interpersonal and relationship building, communication and presentation skills, financial scrutiny, people management skills, interpersonal and relationship building skills alongside data analysis, reporting and data use.

• MCIPD-qualified HR professional, or equivalent senior-level experience in HR, organisational development, employee relations, or employment law (essential)
• Extensive experience leading or shaping a global People / HR function in a complex organisation and operating as a trusted adviser to senior leaders
• Experience working and negotiating with trade unions and other employee representative bodies
• Experience leading People-related organisational change projects in multi-country and matrixed organisations

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is looking for a Senior Insight and Performance Manager to lead our Data Engineering, Analysis and Selections teams and help us become a more insight-led organisation.

Working closely with our Head of Fundraising Data & Operations, you'll have the opportunity to shape how we use data to understand our supporters, identify opportunities for growth and make smarter decisions about where we invest our time and money.
 

There's a lot to get involved with. From forecasting and audience insight to developing our data platform, improving self-service reporting and helping teams test and learn, you'll connect people, data and ideas to create meaningful change across the organisation.
 

Salary

The salary for this role is £63,600 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop our Data Engineering, Analysis and Selections teams, bringing their expertise together to deliver trusted data, actionable insight and audience-led campaigns.
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising Data & Operations to shape priorities and develop our approach to insight, performance and data.
• Use forecasting, predictive analytics, segmentation and supporter insight to identify opportunities for growth and influence fundraising and organisational decisions.
• Help evolve our data platform and reporting capability, ensuring colleagues can access the information they need to make confident decisions.
• Develop our audience selection and targeting capability, helping teams use data intelligently to create more relevant and effective supporter experiences.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Fundraising, Marketing, Finance and Technology, translating business challenges into meaningful analysis and recommendations.
• Build a strong test-and-learn culture, helping teams experiment, understand what works and continually improve performance.
• Champion data literacy across the organisation, making complex insight accessible and helping colleagues feel confident using data in their everyday decisions.
• Ensure our use of data is responsible, secure and underpinned by strong governance and data protection practices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience leading an insight, analytics or data function and developing high-performing specialist teams.
• Strong experience using analysis and insight to influence business decisions, investment choices, income growth or performance.
• Experience applying analytical techniques such as forecasting, predictive analytics, segmentation, lifetime value or audience modelling.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, integrated data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Strong understanding of modern analytics, reporting and data visualisation, with good SQL skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong commercial thinking, with the ability to connect data and insight to organisational priorities and opportunities for growth.
• A curious and collaborative approach—you enjoy asking questions, challenging assumptions and helping others use evidence to make better decisions.
