This is a new role to stabilise, diversify and grow income in a financially constrained environment, reducing reliance on statutory funding, increasing unrestricted income, and strengthening Catalyst Support’s credibility with all sources of non statutory funding, including trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and communities. The postholder holds clear accountability for income performance, return on investment and risk management, and plays a critical role in the organisation’s financial recovery and long-term sustainability. The role is designed as a strategic investment, with the expectation that income generated will move the function towards break-even and net contribution over time, supported by clear targets and Board oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Income Delivery

• Lead and deliver a multi-year income and engagement strategy covering trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraising and individual giving.
• Take ownership of income targets, pipelines and forecasts, including break-even requirements and risk exposure.
• Actively manage income risk, developing scenario plans and mitigation actions where delivery falls below expectation.
• Work with the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to align income activity with organisational strategy and service priorities.

Funding Applications & Grant Management

• Provide strategic oversight, delivery and quality assurance of all high-value bids, tenders and funding applications.
• Ensure bids are evidence-led, outcome-focused, accurately costed and aligned to service capacity.

What you'll do:
* Lead the production of the PPE, FA investments, grant and interest Look Ahead Care & Support (LACS) and Group consolidated notes.

* Lead the annual year end audit process for the subsidiaries including liaison with the external auditors.

* Prepare regulatory returns to the Regulator of Social Housing, including the annual FVA, annual grant returns and quarterly disposal returns.

* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT, CIS and ONS returns on behalf of Look Ahead & Look Ahead Developments Ltd.

Purpose of the job

To work with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises delivery team to oversee the administration of The Roding Rises, a three-year project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to kick-start the revitalisation of the River Roding. This position will work alongside Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager to ensure that every day finance functions for The Roding Rises project operate efficiently and accurately. To successfully deliver this job, the postholder will have a strong eye for detail and have experience in budget management/bookkeeping to ensure funding claims and invoices are paid on time. 
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Track project costs against projected budget to ensure budget vs actual expenditure is effectively managed, raising concerns early with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager. 
• Complete The National Lottery Heritage Fund claims process at agreed intervals to ensure an appropriate cash flow.   
• Assist with relevant reporting tasks back to project funders.
• Work with the Thames21 Head of Finance and Thames21 Finance Officer to ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner in line with internal financial processes and any outstanding payments are managed in line with the approved funding agreement/ project proposal documentation. 
• Support The Roding Rises Project Manager with the administration of the Roding Grant Scheme.
• Support the development and integration of improved financial tracking and reporting processes across wider Thames21 teams.

They are seeking an interim finance professional to provide hands-on support to the finance team during a busy period. This would suit a part-qualified accountant, experienced Finance Officer or someone qualified by experience who is confident working across reconciliations, journals and transactional finance.

Outreach Adviser - Croft Woodlands (Uist & Barra)

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Outreach Adviser - Croft Woodlands (Uist & Barra) to join our Scotland Outreach Team. The Croft Woodland initiative is a partnership initiative between Woodland Trust Scotland (WTS), Point & Sandwick Trust (P&ST), Scottish Crofting Federation, Scottish Forestry, Coigach & Assynt Living Landscapes, the Woodland Croft Partnership, Shetland Amenity Trust and Orkney Woodlands Project. The aim of the project is to engage crofters in woodland creation and management on their holdings to deliver multiple benefits in terms of biodiversity, agricultural diversification, landscape and environment. 

A company vehicle will be provided for this role. Please note that out Company Vehicle Policy is also under review as part of our Job Families and Contract Review project, so the eligibility criteria therein are subject to change in due course.

The Role:

• Provide expert advice and ongoing support to crofters, grazing committees and land managers on woodland creation and management projects.
• Lead the development and delivery of Forestry Grant Scheme applications, coordinating consultants or preparing proposals in-house.
• Plan and implement Croft Woodlands MOREwoods schemes, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain accurate GIS mapping and ensure robust due diligence, including regulatory compliance and “right tree, right place” principles.
• Organise and deliver training programmes, facilitating knowledge sharing across individuals, communities and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Point and Sandwick Trust through regular liaison and updates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with land managers, partners, regulators and local organisations to promote woodland initiatives.
• Manage project delivery end-to-end, including budgets, timelines, contractors and consultants, ensuring targets are met.
• Complete all project administration and reporting, contribute to stakeholder engagement, and support innovative approaches to increase participation and impact.
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to locations within the Uist and Barra landscape and wider Western Isles, sometimes to remote locations. You would be expected to live within the Western Isles or reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in developing and delivering woodland creation projects, particularly for small-scale projects.
• Experience of developing woodland management plans is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and advise crofters, communities, schools and woodland owners.
• Experience managing and working effectively with contractors, consultants and external partners.
• Strong technical capability in digital mapping and GIS systems.
• Good working knowledge of woodland and croft grant schemes and funding mechanisms is desirable.
• Understanding of the crofting context in Scotland, particularly in the Western Isles, with Gaelic language/cultural awareness desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to represent the organisation professionally and positively.

As our first dedicated Fundraising Officer, you'll work closely with our Partnerships & Development Manager and small income generation team, helping to grow and diversify the funding that sustains and scales our mission.

This is a hands-on, varied role with real scope to develop your fundraising career in a fast-growing charity. You'll support the income generation team with day-to-day fundraising activities across multiple income streams, with a focus on trusts and foundations alongside corporate partnerships, high net worth individuals and individual giving.

You’ll be:

• Preparing funding applications and grant writing: researching, developing, and submitting high-quality applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate funders, drafting compelling proposals that bring GoodWork's impact to life
• Prospect research and pipeline management: support with identifying new funding opportunities and maintaining accurate records of all fundraising contacts, applications, and deadlines, and helping to monitor income targets and reporting cycles
• Relationship management: supporting with building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with current and prospective funders
• Funder reporting: managing reporting cycles and producing accurate, engaging impact reports that demonstrate GoodWork's value to funders
• Events and engagement: supporting the coordination of funder engagement opportunities and events

What we're looking for

We're looking for an ambitious, motivated fundraiser who is driven by GoodWork's mission and ready to take ownership of a varied and impactful role. For this role, we’re looking for someone with at least a year's experience in a charity fundraising team, with exposure to trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, high net worth, or community fundraising.

• Excellent written communication and grant writing skills: a proven ability to write compelling, persuasive funding proposals and funder reports that translate complex information into clear, motivating narratives, with strong attention to detail
• Analytical skills: confidence working with data and numbers, including the ability to pull together impact information and basic budget figures to support funding applications and funder reports

Help build South East London's renewable energy future

South East London Community Energy (SELCE) is looking for a Community Renewable Energy Project Developer to help deliver one of London's most exciting community-owned renewable energy programmes.

Working alongside our experienced Renewable Energy Projects Manager and CEO, you will develop community-owned solar projects from initial feasibility through to installation. As your experience grows, you will progressively take ownership of your own projects, developing technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills. Unlike many commercial renewable energy roles, this position provides exposure to the complete project lifecycle, combining technical design, commercial analysis, stakeholder engagement, funding development, planning, procurement and project delivery.

You'll work with schools, charities, leisure centres, faith organisations and businesses, helping them reduce energy costs and carbon emissions while generating long-term income that funds action on fuel poverty.

We're looking for someone who already has a solid grounding in commercial solar and wants to expand their skills across the full project development lifecycle while making a tangible difference to local communities.

Project Development

• Identify and assess potential community solar host sites.
