The Fundraising Assistant will be an integral part of a dynamic and unstoppable fundraising department. Duties and key responsibilities

Fundraising Support

• Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.
• Support challenge event fundraising by stewarding fundraisers, providing logistical support and administrative duties.
• Support the delivery of community campaigns, concentrating on the innovative fundraising elements, and providing stewardship to fundraisers.
• Support the planning and delivery of campaigns and special events and provide on the day support.
• Provide research support across the whole fundraising team, which may include researching corporates, trusts and foundations and community fundraising opportunities.
• Keep up to date with the work of the charity and communicate this to supporters in a compelling manner.
• Represent Sarcoma UK at events as required.

 Administrative Support

• Monitor the fundraising section on Sarcoma UK’s website, ensuring all fundraising pages are kept up to date and relevant.
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
• Work with the database and fundraising teams to evaluate and analyse fundraising activities. 
• Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general office and digital administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.

 Stock and Online Shop

• Monitor Sarcoma UK’s online shop, and ecommerce platform. Ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
• Assist with maintaining external storage unit and keeping records of the contents.
• Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Research and create new merchandise and fundraising materials, keeping up to date with new trends and ensure offering is fresh and innovative.

Other

• Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• To undertake all duties in line with the Sarcoma UKs policies, procedures and regulations ensuring that the work.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and deliver RLSS UK’s first corporate partnerships strategy, setting clear priorities and income targets for year one and beyond.
• Lead the development of a corporate partnerships income stream, building a sustainable portfolio of partnerships and relationships.
• Create the foundations for growth including a case for support, stewardship framework, pitch decks and templates and KPI and reporting tools.
• Establish systems and internal processes required for a corporate fundraising function.
• Use sector insights, benchmarking, and data to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth.

Partnership Development

• Build and actively manage a new business pipeline from scratch, ensuring consistent prospecting and follow up.
• Conduct in-depth prospect research to identify target companies, align commercial priorities, and map key decision makers.
• Develop compelling, tailored proposals, pitches, and partnership packages that clearly articulate impact and mutual value.

Lead and Direct Income Generation and Future Fundraising for Swindon Food Collective

The role has key responsibility for all income generation activities at Swindon Food Collective. This includes high-profile networking with local businesses, corporations and the public sector, processing grant applications, growing and managing key corporate partnerships and significantly increasing fundraising activities. This is a senior role and the role-holder will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The work involves undertaking frequent travel to local corporations, businesses, and wider public sector stakeholders. 

Role Purpose
To design, deliver and secure a multi-stream recurring income generation strategy, manage charity-wide philanthropy, and strengthen long-term financial resilience.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and planning
• Develop and deliver a 12–24-month income generation plan aligned to SFC priorities and the Trustee Strategy & Fundraising Committee.
• Build a balanced income mix (corporate, philanthropy, trusts, community and digital where appropriate), with clear targets and resource assumptions.
• Produce compelling cases for support and pitch materials tailored to different audiences.

Corporate partnerships and sponsorship
• Identify, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships and sponsorships (including 'charity of the year' and payroll giving where feasible).
• Design partnership packages (benefits, brand alignment, staff engagement, volunteering) and manage delivery and stewardship.
• Work closely with the Brand Ambassador & Events Manager to convert event leads into partnership conversations. 

Philanthropy, major donors and relationship fundraising

Trusts, foundations and grant fundraising

• Coordinate impact evidence and data collection across SFC to strengthen applications and reporting.
• Complete and undertake all funding and grant applications (corporate and public sector) in a timely fashion and ahead of relevant deadlines. Report funding progress to stakeholders.

Performance management, systems and compliance
• Manage income forecasting, budgeting and ROI tracking; set and monitor KPIs and provide clear reporting to CEO/Board.

Leadership and organisational contribution

The role of Community Fundraising Officer is all about helping to turn that vision into reality by inspiring people to actively support nature through fundraising, events, partnerships and & encouraging community-led initiatives. It is a role that combines relationship-building, creativity & practical organisation, while giving the successful person the chance to make a direct contribution to helping bring nature back to Suffolk.

The position focuses strongly on developing community fundraising opportunities & building lasting supporter relationships. The post holder will work with the Philanthropy & Fundraising Manager to deliver fundraising plans, meet income targets & create new opportunities for people across Suffolk to get involved. Essential:

This role provides vital operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of CALM’s fundraising activities and the delivery of exceptional supporter care. Your responsibilities will cover everything from CRM accuracy and financial processing to merchandise fulfillment, event coordination and supporter stewardship.

Responsibilities

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s Fundraising Revenue targets, through excellent administration and compliance to fundraising practices

• Work with the Fundraising team to ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

• When required, be an active and engaged member of CALMs EDI Supergroup.

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management.

• Support the fundraising team with financial data queries

Role specifics

Stewardship:

• Monitor and help deliver the multi channel supporter enquiries process, ensuring response rate is in line with CALM’s SLA and fundraisers are directed to the appropriate support.

• Proactively support fundraisers, when directed, throughout their journey, to support with the effective planning and delivery of supporter activities. 

• Support with the planning, set up and delivery of stewardship events (both CALM owned and supporter led), assisting with logistics, supporter communications and delivery as required. 

• Support the wider team in the development, optimisation, testing and ongoing maintenance of stewardship journeys, including carrying out key messaging updates to core email journeys across all Fundraising streams when needed.

• Support on the maintenance, optimisation  and creation of relevant pages on the CALM website.

• Support the fundraising and Marketing & Communications team to identify supporters we can profile and champion by regularly checking fundraising pages, social media and event registrations. 

• Support the Social Fundraising Manager with ad moderation where required

Operational and administrative support:

• Carry our regular, financial and administrative processes to a high standard with the Salesforce CRM

• Act as first point of contact for individual donors via email, phone and post, processing office donations and completing payment runs to the bank. 

• Support retention activities, including upgrade, reactivation and loyalty journeys.

• Provide administrative support for acquisition and retention campaigns

• When relevant coordinate mailing logistics (briefing agencies, checking proofs, managing print and fulfilment)

• Work with the Fundraising team to continuously update and maintain fundraising documentation, processes, templates and procedures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and supporter experience. 

• Support the teams with finding cost effective travel and hotels to support event delivery.

• Support the Head of Public Fundraising with month end financial reconciliation processes

• Identify and code income across various fundraising platforms.

• Preparing data and  uploading into CRM Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and quality are maintained by identifying improvements to process and working with the CRM team to deliver 

Fulfilment:

• Work with the Product team to maintain the supporter merchandise online portal, reporting on sales of merchandise and managing kit restock and reordering processes across fundraising.

• Act as the main point of contact for the relationship with our fulfilment partner, managing enquiries and escalation issues. 

• Oversee stock management, ensuring our supporter store availability reflects current stock levels and being responsible for co-ordinating timely restocking.

• Run daily checks of the supporter store to ensure order fulfilment can be carried out.

About the Independent Living Programme

Centrepoint’s Independent Living Programme (ILP) is delivering 300 genuinely affordable homes across London and Greater Manchester for young people moving on from homelessness. With 50 homes already built and £23m secured, the Independent Living Capital Appeal is raising a further £27m to complete the programme.

The Role

The Independent Living Capital Appeal Manager will play a key role in delivering this ambitious programme. You will be responsible for helping to deliver the £27m appeal target by managing and growing a portfolio of high-value donors and grant-makers, securing five and six figure gifts, and developing a strong pipeline of new prospects.

Working closely with the Head of Independent Living Appeal, you will lead the cultivation and solicitation of high-value supporters while delivering an outstanding donor experience. You will also work closely with development and programme colleagues to align fundraising with live housing developments and future pipeline opportunities.

You will:

• Lead and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects, securing new and repeat five and six figure gifts
• Identify, qualify and cultivate new prospects to strengthen the appeal pipeline
• Develop and deliver tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Write compelling proposals, reports and donor communications
• Deliver excellent stewardship, designing supporter journeys that connect donors to the impact of their support
• Support senior leaders and volunteers in donor cultivation and solicitations
• Collaborate across fundraising and programme teams to maximise opportunities for support
• Line-manage the Independent Living Appeal Officer, supporting their development and contribution to the appeal

About You

We are looking for a motivated, relationship-focused fundraiser with a strong track record of securing significant philanthropic gifts. You will bring:

• Experience securing five and six figure gifts from individuals, trusts, foundations or corporate partners
• Proven ability to build and progress a pipeline of high-value prospects
• Strong experience managing and stewarding major donor relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including developing persuasive proposals and reports
