We are now seeking a Head of Fundraising and Relationships to lead and grow our income generation and supporter engagement at an exciting time in Aerobility’s development. This is a senior role with real scope to shape strategy, build meaningful relationships, and make a tangible impact on the charity’s future.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a sustainable fundraising strategy across multiple income streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, individual giving, and community fundraising. You will also play a key role in nurturing long-term relationships with supporters, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring they feel valued, informed, and connected to Aerobility’s mission.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will work closely with colleagues, volunteers, and ambassadors to tell Aerobility’s story with clarity and passion, translating impact into compelling cases for support. You will also contribute to the wider leadership of the charity, bringing ideas, insight, and collaboration to help Aerobility continue to grow safely and sustainably.

We are looking for someone who is an experienced fundraiser and relationship builder, confident working at a senior level, and motivated by purpose-led work. You will be proactive, organised, and comfortable balancing long-term planning with day-to-day activity. The purpose of the role is to utilise effective and efficient administrative and fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across Maggie’s. 

As Centre Fundraiser, you will assist the Centre Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care.  

This includes supporting and retaining existing supporters and researching new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups and associations.  

You will represent the work, vision and purpose of Maggie’s whilst supporting the delivery of local and central fundraising initiatives and campaigns. This includes presentations, face to face, telephone and written communications.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent local travel.

As Centre Fundraising Manager you will develop and implement a centre specific fundraising plan to raise income from the community through a variety of fundraising sources.  

You will be responsible for effectively and autonomously managing the full portfolio of activity relating to the centre and to manage complex networks and relationships which have a wider national focus.  

You will be responsible for fundraising across a range of income streams including businesses, individuals, community groups, volunteers and media contacts.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as occasional overnight stays and UK travel.

Key Responsibilities

CRM Management & Development

• Lead the daily administration and development of the fundraising CRM (Salesforce or Beacon).

Person Specification

Essential

• At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising, CRM management or donor development.
• Proven experience managing a fundraising CRM (Salesforce, Beacon or similar).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into insight.

We make sure babies and children receive the vital treatment they need, no matter where they are. We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team on a fixed-term 14 month contract (maternity cover). 

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising streams, but the post-holder would also be expected to regularly support activities across our corporate partnerships, individual giving and Family Fundraising streams of fundraising too.

The RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is seeking to increase its fundraising activity in order to secure the funding neccessary to completely rebuild the York Animal Home. We are looking to bring on an experienced individual to design, launch and lead our capital campaign and raise the remaining funds needed to complete the project.

The Capital Campaign Lead will take overall responsibility for planning, leading and delivering the £5m capital appeal over the next few years. This includes developing the case for support, managing campaign phases, cultivating major donors and funders, and ensuring strong governance, reporting and stewardship throughout the campaign.

The York Animal Home was built in 1980 and no longer meets modern welfare, licensing or operational requirements. Demand for our services is rising sharply, while the complexity and scale of cases continues to grow. We are at the point where our current animal facilities do meet our needs and have been working to redevelop the site and build new modern facilities.

We have received planning permission and are in the process of finalising the designs prior to construction beginning this year.

About the role 

Love organising events, building relationships, and raising money for a great cause? Join CASPA and play a key role in delivering exciting challenge events and community fundraising that make a real difference. 

Working closely with the Head of Finance and Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team, you will plan and deliver a programme of challenge events. You will also support individual and community fundraisers and build strong relationships with supporters and businesses. 

What you’ll do: 

• Planning and running challenge events from idea to delivery 

• Supporting and inspiring community and individual fundraisers 

• Building relationships with businesses and donors. 

• Managing fundraising data, income tracking and reporting. 

• Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, finance and HR 

Salary Band:  £ 14,976–£ 16,380 per annum (18 hours/week), depending on experience. (FTE £ 29,120–£ 31,850) 

Contract Type:  12 month fixed-term contract 

Working Pattern:18 hours per week with ad hoc requirement to attend weekend and evening events with TOIL given for these.

Must be able to work at CASPA's office on Mondays or Tuesdays with hybrid-working flexibility for remaining hours.

River Thames Boat Project

Job title: Fundraising Manager

Salary: £35,000 pro rata

Hours: 3 days (22.5 hours) per week

Location: Home based with expectation of regular attendance at office (Teddington), some evenings and weekends for events and funder meetings when required.

Reports to: Executive Chair

Summary

This exciting new role will raise the funds to enable The River Thames Boat Project to expand our cruises and education programme on the River Thames, and cover our annual running costs.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of raising capital funds, building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual capital and income targets. You will have the skills to create compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

Background

Established in 1988, our charity's mission is to make the River Thames accessible to all.

We provide opportunities for individuals to experience river and waterways environments to enhance their personal, social, and educational wellbeing.

Using our fully wheelchair-accessible community boats we deliver educational programmes for children and young people across London and the South East, and therapeutic cruises for people of all ages who have limited access to the Thames due to health issues, disabilities, isolation or social exclusion.

A small staff team of four and more than 100 volunteers support the charity. In 2021, we received The Queens Award for Voluntary Service. The charity, more than thirty five years old, is run by a volunteer Board of Trustees.

We rely on grants, donations and community fundraising to subsidise the cost of our charitable activities on the River Thames.

We are seeking a fundraising professional to grow our charitable income across all streams (grants, foundations, corporate sponsors), raise significant capital funds, reinvigorate our members program, diversify our fundraising income and establish a volunteer fundraising committee.

As Fundraising Manager you will also be responsible for marketing the charity to prospective clients through mailings, social media and other routes.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and execute a fundraising strategy that aligns with the charity's business plan and future ambitions
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing funders
3. Research potential trust and foundation funders, write compelling bids and ensure effective reporting and stewardship
4. Revitalise the charity's members' program (Friends of RTBP)
5. Create and lead a volunteer fundraising committee to support our initiatives.
6. Ensure effective records are kept and a database developed for fundraising and the members' program
7. Ensure all fundraising is compliant with GDPR and other legal and best practice standards
8. Develop and implement marketing plans for the charity's cruises and education work
9. Attend the Trustee finance and fundraising committee and produce reports on activities and income as required

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in raising capital and income for small to medium size charities from multiple sources
2. Self-motivated and proactive with great interpersonal skills to work with staff members, volunteers, trustees, and external funders from individual to corporate donors
3. Proven ability to research funders, write compelling bids and manage relationships with funders
4. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
5. An interest or link with the Thames or environmental activities is desirable

Skills you'll have to succeed in this role

• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Able to create compelling, professional designs for promotional and marketing materials using Canva or Adobe suite.
• Technically literate, with strong understanding of how to use Meta and LinkedIn
• Strong understanding of SEO and Keywords for creating blogposts.
• Good knowledge of Wordpress websites, to be able to update the site when necessary.
