About You
Are you an experienced and confident fundraiser with a trusts and statutory background with the motivation to drive real change for the Armed Forces community? If you have experience in inspiring donor support through persuasive and creative proposals and building positive relationships, and have a can-do attitude, it would be great to have you join our team.
- Experience in a high value fundraising role, raising money from trusts and foundations and/or statutory funders.
- Experience of developing compelling funding proposals, including budgets with programme managers and other stakeholders
- Experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills to produce compelling funding proposals and reports for funders.
- Ability to work on your own initiative to manage projects, plan, and set priorities.
- A good understanding of the trust fundraising and/or statutory fundraising environment including key compliance considerations and trends in the sector.
About the Role
In this role you will form a vital part of our High Value Partnerships team; achieving or exceeding agreed income targets through tailored and compelling fundraising proposals to existing and new funders; and matching donor interests with Help for Heroes’ programmes.
You will deliver excellent stewardship managing a portfolio of high value donors, delivering against donor objectives, and seeking opportunities to develop and broaden support. Whilst also contributing to the wider Trusts and Foundations, and Partnerships strategies, including taking on management of special projects as and when required.
About the Team
The Trusts and Foundations Team is made up of the Trusts and Foundations Senior Partnership Manager, the Trusts and Grants Manager, and the Trusts and Foundations Executive, part of the wider High Value Partnerships Team, Commercial Directorate.
This is an exciting time for growth within this highly motivated team, and this role will play an integral part in our strategy building on our existing pipeline, working collaboratively to make a big impact. You will be working remotely but with regular opportunities for face-to-face meetings with the team, partners, and beneficiaries, usually held in London, Birmingham, Salisbury, or Swindon.

As a marketing and communications executive, you’ll be responsible for creating inspiring marketing and digital communications campaigns that drive action, bring in income and increase our impact. You’ll plan, research and develop products, deliver creative content for marketing and communications campaigns, study customer behaviour and work collaboratively to execute impactful multi-channel communications campaigns. You will have a passion for all marketing and digital communications content, including email, paid marketing, websites and social media. You’ll analyse data, manage projects and run and evaluate our campaigns. With a strong focus on audience and insights, you’ll have a willingness to get stuck into all areas.
This role will work within a multi-disciplinary environment, make strategic recommendations to a wide range of colleagues, lead cross-departmental and cross-organisational project teams to deliver against the organisation’s goals and get to know the policy areas that we focus on.

The Role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.
- Area development. As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme. This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.
- Community marketing and engagement. Community Coordinators are ‘the face of FareShare Go’ in their local areas and promote the programme’s benefits to local voluntary organisations, umbrella groups and zero-waste and food insecurity groups. They work collaboratively with FareShare Regional Centres in their area, researching local activities, presenting at group meetings and educating charities about FareShare Go and the food and other support they can access from our food partners

Responsibilities:
Principal Role
- Develop and deliver Back Up’s corporate fundraising strategy, focusing on securing long-term, high-value partnerships with organisations aligned to our mission.
- Lead on building and maintaining a pipeline of corporate prospects, driving new business and fostering strong partnerships that support Back Up’s objectives.
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and new partners, ensuring they are engaged, informed, and understand the impact of their support.

We are recruiting a Policy Coordinator / Lead—a strategic and collaborative thinker who will work closely with Liverpool City Council and a wide range of partners to shape food policy and drive systemic change. This role will lead initiatives to improve food provision for children and young people, influence council policies, and secure funding to advance the goals of the Good Food Plan.

The Policy Coordinator / Lead will play a key role in addressing these challenges by embedding Good Food principles across council departments, leading strategic initiatives, and amplifying the voices of our communities.
Main purposes of job:
● To collaborate with Liverpool City Council in reviewing policies and procedures to embed Good Food principles across relevant departments and programmes of work.
● To lead initiatives that improve food provision for children and young people in education and learning settings across Liverpool.

What the job involves
Prostate Cancer UK are launching the most ambitious fundraising appeal in our history, and we’re looking for a brilliant Appeal Manager to help make it happen. In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of the campaign, working closely with the Head of Appeal to keep everything on track and running smoothly. You’ll coordinate plans, manage timelines and milestones, and help make sure everyone involved knows what’s happening and when.
You’ll drive forward the creation of campaign materials too, from website content and videos to newsletters and donor content. Your role will be to make sure everything’s consistent, high-quality and feels part of one powerful, inspiring appeal. You’ll also keep campaign plans, documents and resources organised and easy for everyone to access.
Working closely with teams across the charity including fundraising, communications, finance and our programme teams acting as the central point of coordination. What we want from you
We’re looking for an Appeal Manager who makes things happen and keeps things moving. You’ll be highly organised, thrive on hitting targets and love the satisfaction of seeing a plan come together. You’re good at managing shifting priorities, recognising what’s most important, and making sure it gets done.
You’ll have experience of working on a major fundraising appeal, capital campaign or within a high-performing fundraising team and know what it takes to deliver brilliant donor experiences. You’ll be comfortable coordinating complex projects with lots of moving parts and stakeholders, keeping everything on track and everyone in the loop.
A sharp eye for detail and a proactive, collaborative approach are essential. You’ll enjoy working across teams, building strong relationships and making sure nothing slips through the net. You’ll also be an effective and engaging communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to pull together clear, thoughtful briefings and reports.

LOCATION: Based out of our Training Centre in Great Horwood, near Milton Keynes with responsibility for puppies placed with socialisers in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Northamptonshire (with possible travel outside these areas from time to time)
SALARY BAND: £23,800 to £27,000

REPORTS TO: Assistance Dog Training Manager
The Job
We are looking for someone with the skills, experience and passion to join our team of trainers responsible for organising and monitoring the progress of our puppies and young dogs, when required into advanced training to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and training, thereby maximising their chances of becoming a Medical Detection Dog.

Responsibilities
Training and Development of Puppies:
- Take responsibility for a group of puppies (approximately 10) allocated to socialisers living in your geographical area
- Provide training that adheres to ADUK regulations and MDD quality standards in accordance with timescales and targets
- To deliver effective training by holding puppy classes, 121’s and home visits with socialisers in your geographical area
- Conduct regular training sessions with assistance dogs in training in various environments to ensure they are confident and responsive in real-world settings
- To prepare the puppy to be a Medical Alert Assistance Dog, using positive reinforcement techniques to teach desired behaviours and modify unwanted behaviours
- Regularly monitor progress of the puppies in your area and provide detailed, evidenced feedback to the senior team within Dog Supply and Training
- Support and assist when required with the potential matches for a particular assistance dog partnership.
- To successfully prepare the puppy to pass the relevant Assistance Dog assessments
- Where necessary, highlight to your line manager, any dogs that are not progressing sufficiently through the training programme
Socialiser Support
- Be the first point of contact for the socialisers in your area, which will include guidance, support and instruction to socialisers on effective work and training with their assistance dogs
- Provide general health care advice within your core working hours
Socialiser Recruitment
- When required, assist in the recruitment of new volunteer socialisers
- When required, to assess prospective new volunteer socialisers, including home, workplace, pet dog and children assessments
Advanced Assistant Dog Trainer
- When required, take dogs home during the advance training period to ensure continuous development and reinforcement of training routines
- To arrange the training plan for each dog in advance training that’s under your supervision, including day to day arrangements for training, collection, pick up and holiday cover
- To ensure all dogs receive the appropriate training required, to pass their final assessment
- To work closely with the Medical Alert Assistance Dog (MAAD) team and to support the final stages of the dogs matching process, including agreeing any client specific queries before carrying out the client and dog meet onsite
- To carry out any client specific training on the advanced dogs
- When required, to support the dog and client home stay
- To work closely with the Health & Welfare team regarding any dogs under their supervision
- Complete the appropriate paperwork for training records, assessments and recruitment of volunteers
- Report any concerns, communicate feedback and request guidance where appropriate.
- To successfully complete the handover of the Assistance dog to the MAAD Instructor, within the timelines agreed
- To carry out appropriate feedback to the Dog Supply team on how dogs are progressing under their supervision
- To support with the Temporary Fosterer application process and provide support to the Temporary Fosterer’s who may look after advanced dogs in training
- Where necessary, highlight to your line manager, any dogs that are not progressing sufficiently through the advanced training programme
Other
- Update the Harlequin CRM database in a timely fashion to ensure accurate and up to date training, veterinary and health records
- Support the charity’s fundraising, communications and volunteering teams as required, specifically in relation to your area
- Share best practice with colleagues across the charity
- Other tasks or ad hoc duties agreed with your line manager required to ensure the successful running of the charity
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in training Assistance Dogs
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dog training
- Basic theory of practical dog training
- Law in relation to dogs
- Knowledge of medical conditions relevant to puppies between 8 weeks and 2 years of age
- Dog and human psychology
- Health and safety implications of dog and socialiser handling
- Experience and understanding of ADUK, ADI regulations and MDD's internal quality standards
Skills and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate high quality judgement and a proven track record in relation to the following:
- Dog training matters including the analysis of temperaments, appropriate training methods and requirements necessary to maintain public perception in assistance dogs
- Solutions to training and behavioural problems
- Socialiser training including the ability to assess each person’s preferred learning style and adapt as appropriate your training approach, the specific programmes to be followed
- Strong and clear teaching and instructing skills
- Ability to plan work, be organised and ensure that time is utilised effectively for yourself, colleagues and socialisers
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people internally and externally. This will include clients and their families, fosterers, other professional service providers, members of the public, the media, managers and other colleagues
- High level of IT literacy and report writing skills including experience of using Microsoft based programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Power Point

Responsibilities
- Lead SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a legacy fundraising strategy.
- Lead on the creation and delivery of a stewardship framework to deliver an outstanding donor experience for SCF’s supporters and partners, including fundholders, corporate partners, charitable trusts, legacy pledgers and individual donors.
- Lead on ensuring the team are making best use of Salesforce to support effective portfolio management and reporting, and maintaining high-quality data.
- Lead on the delivery of our annual Fundholder Impact Reports, working collaboratively with the wider team including Finance and Programmes and embedding more efficient use of CRM and AI to support this.
- Work with our Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a high-quality stewardship events programme, including our Annual Celebration, donor visits to charities and research and insight events tailored to the interests of our supporters and partners.
- Work with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Philanthropy Manager to refresh and grow our mid-level giving programme, reviewing our existing donor base, embedding stronger donor journeys, and undertaking research and data analysis to explore new opportunities such as next-generation philanthropy.
- Lead on the delivery of SCF’s Surviving Winter Appeal and any ad-hoc emergency appeals.
