At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education. 

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference, supporting them to become safe and more resilient by sharing your first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you’ll deliver first aid to those in need through local events, as well as provide education to the public so that the ripple effect of First Aid grows.

Through supporting the growth of community partnerships, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives. 

Through volunteering as a Community First Aider, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time. 

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. What you can expect from SJA, and what we expect from those who volunteer with us, is included in the volunteer charter.

You will be required to attend regular training nights at the University of Bristol Student's Union

Students will be welcomed into the society at the regular unit meeting nights and any new volunteers will be mentored by the committee and fellow society members. Inductions will take place at the same time and support will be provided by the local network leadership team alongside the committee.

There are multiple CFA courses running in the county that are accessible to the students. Additional courses may be run if we recruit enough members. We have trainers and the capacity to run the course, as well as transport available if required to a St John building.

Finance Assistant (Financial Planning & Analysis)

We are Nina Energy Limited (UK) with operations in Ecuador. We seek a volunteer passionate about climate finance to build an integrated financial model for our modular biorefineries and products (biochar, thermal energy, biocoke/torrefied biomass, pellets, carbon credits).

You will: Build a 3-statement + project finance model (P&L, CF, BS) with scenarios. Model unit economics and cash-flow waterfalls per product/site (CAPEX, OPEX, MRV/issuance fees, pricing, offtakes). Quantify IRR/NPV/Payback by line of business; sensitivity analyses (capacity factor, feedstock cost, heat sales, credit price). Produce investor-ready outputs: summary dashboard + 2-page investment memo. You are not doing bookkeeping; this is an analytical FP&A/project-finance role.

We are a non-profit organization empowering rural communities in Nepal through organic Arabica coffee farming, beekeeping, and women-led community tourism.

Across Nepali villages, many young people migrate to other countries in search of better income, often working in harsh, risky conditions for very little pay—and sometimes losing their lives. At Sharing Seeds, we encourage local youth and women to rediscover opportunities at home by engaging in sustainable cash crop farming and community-based enterprises.

By promoting modern agricultural practices, we help farmers transform unused land into thriving organic coffee and beekeeping ventures. At the same time, we create fair-wage opportunities for rural women, enabling financial independence and stronger families.

Based in Sarangkot Pandeli village near Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, Sharing Seeds is building a future where communities flourish through sustainable farming, women’s empowerment, and authentic tourism experiences.

Graphic Designer (Leaflet)

This is the role for the interested creative volunteer with great experience in graphic design, who can create an outstanding tour flyer for our day tour, which will be combined of mountain biking and visiting our community for the local Nepali lunch and coffee tasting experience, which is produced locally by us. We need this sticker to design and print as a flyer, which will be (12 inch by 18 inch ) and one-third of an A4 design leaflet.

Work and Skills in an online personal development programme aimed at providing people living with HIV who are unemployed or in unsuitable work with online peer support, online work ready workshops and online 1-2-1 employment mentoring.

Role Summary

Mast Cell Action is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphics Support Coordinator to assist with designing engaging and visually compelling graphics for our social media platforms and art work our resources in Canva. This role plays a key part in helping us raise awareness about Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and fostering a sense of community. We are looking for someone who is experienced in the workplace and can work on their own initiative within design guidelines provided by Mast Cell Action.

Key Responsibilities

• Artworking of our resources to produce visually appealing leaflet, hand-outs and resource packs within Mast Cell Action design guidelines.
• Design, formatting and layout of leaflets, flyers and information packs, including digital and printed versions.
• Design graphics for social media posts, stories, and campaigns in line with the Mast Cell Action branding guidelines.
• Collaborate with the social media team to understand content needs and ensure timely delivery of assets.
• Support the development of visuals for ongoing campaigns, such as "MCAS is..." and "Please Don't Test Me."
• Create eye-catching visuals for announcements, events, and educational content.
• Maintain and organise a library of graphics for easy future access and use in Canva.

Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, or similar), Must be willing to use Canva for artworking resources
• A keen eye for design, colour, and typography.
• Ability to interpret and work within brand guidelines.
• Strong ability in design layout and formatting skills, especially for printed materials. Proficient at arranging text and images into a page in a visually appealing, readable and accessible format.
• Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into creative designs.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

We are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Lead to play a significant role in shaping a fundraising strategy, help raise awareness of Bounds Green Food Bank (BGFB) and generate income through events, projects and fundraising activities.

We currently raise money through grants, individual donations and community projects. We would like to broaden our fundraising initiatives and are looking for someone to raise funds, meet fundraising targets, raise our profile with key funding partners, and inspire relevant groups to support us.

About Bounds Green Food Bank: 

Open since June 2020, we serve over 1,500 children and adults in the community. We are committed to improving lives by providing food and essential household items and helping alleviate household food insecurity. • Work with the Board of Trustees to agree a fundraising strategy, including setting annual fundraising targets

• Help to develop a fundraising team

As a growing international development charity with a small but committed staff team (1.2 FTE in the UK, 10+ in East Africa), we are looking for trustees who are not only strategic thinkers but also prepared to roll up their sleeves and contribute actively within the boundaries of their role. In this recruitment round, we are specifically seeking someone to Chair our Fundraising Sub-Committee, providing leadership and guidance to help us diversify and strengthen our income.

One25 is a Bristol-based charity, specialising in supporting women to break free from street sex-work, addiction and other life-controlling issues and build new, independent lives. We provide night outreach (7 sessions weekly), a Health Hub and casework, giving person-centred support and advocacy to around 240 women each year.

One25’s outreach service is often how women first make contact with us, meeting us on our fully equipped outreach van. A team goes out on the van at night and meets women’s basic needs by providing nutritious food, first aid, warm clothing, condoms, safety alarms etc. They provide the chance to talk and get advice in a safe space and encourage women to get more in-depth help by visiting our Health Hub or seeing a caseworker.

We are looking for a volunteer to help with the induction of our new van drivers. Before volunteers can begin driving shifts, their driving skills need to be assessed to ensure they can operate our Fiat E-Ducato Electric Van safely, and we are looking for someone to run these driving assessments.

Assessments start at the One25 office and follow the usual route taken during shifts. The assessor will need to check that the driver is confident reversing out of the car park and can drive the route safely at an appropriate speed. The assessment usually takes 30 minutes.

Driving assessor tasks will involve (but are not limited to):

• Conduct driving assessments for new van drivers using the standard outreach route.
• Observe and evaluate driving skills, including:
– Confident and safe reversing from the One25 car park.
– Smooth and appropriate handling of the Fiat E-Ducato Electric Van.
– Adherence to speed limits and road safety.
– Awareness of surroundings and ability to navigate Bristol streets.
• Provide constructive feedback to volunteers post-assessment.
• Communicate any concerns or recommendations to the Volunteer Manager.
• Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional approach during assessments.
• Uphold One25’s values and ensure volunteers understand and respect boundaries and safety protocols.

Person Specification:

• Aged 23+
• Full UK driving license for a minimum of three years
• No more than three penalty points on your licence
• Ability to drive an automatic electric long wheel base van
• Good road safety knowledge and excellent driving skills
• Patient, observant, and supportive and calm
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable giving feedback and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Able to travel to and from St Pauls, Bristol.
