Our organisation combines healing, education, advocacy, and empowerment through honest storytelling and community transformation. Job Purpose

The Volunteer Whistleblower Relations & Booking Officer will play a vital role in identifying, connecting with, and booking whistleblowers, former insiders, survivors, and experts linked to child abuse and institutional failures for podcast interviews and discussions.

The successful candidate will conduct research, outreach, relationship building, and guest coordination while professionally representing the organisation’s mission and values.

This role requires persistence, emotional intelligence, professionalism, confidence, resilience, and strong communication skills.

Communications Team Lead (Volunteer)

We are seeking a creative and experienced Communications Team Lead to play a vital role in raising awareness of the mission of Bounds Green Food Bank and drive donations. They will be responsible for leading a team of volunteers and assisting the team in coming up with creative ways to spread the word of the food bank.
 

About Bounds Green Food Bank: 

Open since June 2020, we serve over 4,600 children and adults in the community. We are committed to improving lives by providing food and essential household items to build a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow. We strive to promote social inclusion by supporting people who find themselves in a crisis situation where they need assistance to feed themselves and their families.

The role: 

• Create and lead on communication campaigns and initiatives to raise funds, recruit volunteers and promote our impact

• Manage a fantastic Communications Team of remote volunteers with specific roles (social media, website management, business partnership, graphics and community liaison), providing guidance and managing workload

• Work closely with the Fundraising Lead to create effective fundraising campaigns through newsletters, social media, flyers, events and our website.

• Liaise with the other team leads via a group chat and occasional team meetings, staying up to date with changes across the charity and providing input from the Comms Team

Person specification: 

• Previous experience in marketing, communications, or related fields preferred.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and inspire a team of volunteers.

We are seeking a WordPress / PHP Developer to help build and maintain the core web systems that power our public platform and membership services. This is not a commercial web development role. This is about creating digital infrastructure that belongs to the community and serves long-term social impact.

About the role:

As WordPress / PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the CIC’s main website and connected digital services using open-source technologies. You will help ensure our platforms are stable, secure, accessible, and capable of supporting growth in membership, education, and fundraising. Your work will directly affect how people access information, join the community, and engage with the organisation.

Experience Qualification and Requirements

Formal qualifications is desirable but STRONG experience and passion beats and tops this always.

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties

· Develop, maintain, and improve WordPress-based websites and systems that support organisational operations, services, and growth.

· Build, customise, and extend WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.

· Ensure code is clean, secure, maintainable, and aligned with WordPress and open-source best practices.

· Integrate open-source tools and third-party platforms, including membership systems, learning platforms, data tools, and APIs.

What you’ll do

You may support SUNSHINE with:

• Designing and developing our volunteering programme from scratch.

• Recruiting volunteers who share SUNSHINE’s values and mission.

• Creating welcoming onboarding processes that help volunteers settle in with confidence.

• Building systems to support volunteer retention, engagement and progression.

• Developing ways to reward, recognise and thank volunteers for their time and contribution.

• Ensuring volunteers are trained, supported and equipped with the tools they need to succeed.

• Helping to create a positive team culture rooted in trust, encouragement and continuous improvement.

• Supporting the development of a highly recognised volunteering programme that reflects SUNSHINE’s ambition and spirit.

• Working closely with the Founder and wider team to strengthen volunteer involvement across the charity.

Purpose of the Role

The Chair provides leadership to the Lyonic Scots Society and works closely with the Clan Chief (Prince of Scots), the Society Committee, and volunteers to ensure the Society fulfils its aims and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead committee meetings and annual meetings.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership.
• Support the development of the Society’s activities and projects.
• Represent the Society at events and functions.
• Encourage positive governance and teamwork.
• Help build partnerships and community relationships.

2. Vice Chair

Purpose of the Role

The Vice Chair supports the Chair and helps ensure the smooth running of the Society.

• Contribute to strategic planning.

3. Treasurer

Purpose of the Role

The Treasurer oversees the Society’s finances and helps ensure financial transparency and accountability.

• Assist with budgeting and fundraising planning.
• Ensure funds are managed responsibly.

• Good numerical and organisational skills.

• Experience with bookkeeping, finance, or budgeting is desirable but not essential.

4. Secretary

Purpose of the Role

The Secretary supports the administration and governance of the Society.

Responsibilities

• Organise committee meetings.
• Prepare agendas and meeting papers.
• Take and distribute meeting minutes.
• Maintain Society records.
• Support communications and administration.

As a Grants and Funding Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our work. You will:

• Identify and apply for funding opportunities through compelling proposals
• Craft engaging campaigns to attract donors and increase awareness
• Develop clear and impactful communication strategies to share our mission and successes with stakeholders, partners, and the public

You'll collaborate closely with the admin team, a small group of volunteers who work behind the scenes to enable our success with our project goals. You'll also liaise with our Project Director to align your work with the trust's aims and objectives.

This role is adaptable to your skills and interests. Whether your expertise lies in campaign writing, digital communications, or event-based fundraising, we’ll work with you to tailor the responsibilities and focus areas to make the most of your time and talents.

To thrive in this volunteer role, we’re looking for someone who has a mix of the following skills, experiences, and qualities. While we don’t expect you to have all of these, the more you can bring, the bigger your impact will be:

Volunteer Ice Cream Bike Operator

About The Role

We’re looking for positive minded individuals who can bring joy and some theatre to Ice Cream sales whilst on the move on our electric trike at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.

Become the face (and wheels!) of Martin Mere Wetland Centre – a mobile, bike‑powered ice‑cream experience that pops up where the crowds are. You’ll steer one of our fully‑equipped electric bikes, to delight customers with ice cold refreshments and Ice-Creams. Use your entrepreneurial flair to maximise daily sales. Expect plenty of sunshine, spontaneous dance‑offs with kids, and the buzz of being on the move. 

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You’ll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

About You

Skills & Experience:

• Customer-facing experience: Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is highly beneficial.

• Numeracy and basic tech skills: Comfortable with handling cash, using card readers, and potentially using POS apps.
