No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

We are seeking Event Doctors to respond and manage emergency calls/incidents at events which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races etc. Event doctors shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care while undertaking clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment. This will mainly involve working in mobile treatment centres or temporary event medical centres.

We are also currently supporting a Co Responder Pilot with EEAST and anticipate its continued success. HCP's will be eligible to support this programme following a selection process.

 Successful candidates will be registered medical practitioners with the GMC, without cautions or restrictions, and hold a licence to practice outside of an approved practice setting.

As a local group Support Volunteer you’ll signpost people affected by MS to information about local and national services. That could be helping someone access information about the care or benefits they need or giving them a hand with a grant application.

We are looking for keen and enthusiastic volunteers to help run our weekly Wednesday term-time toddler group called “The Gosling Gang”! You will be working with other volunteers and staff to ensure families and young children visiting our centre feel part of something amazing.

Youth Helper work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By supporting our Youth Leaders to deliver a sessions across our range of programmes. In this role, you'll support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. About Our Charity Shop in Stony Stratford

The shop is part of the RSPCA MILTON Keynes & North Bucks Branch and plays an essential role in raising the profile of the RSPCA in our local community and funds for our branch so that we can continue our vital animal welfare work. Our shops sell a mixture of donated items, including clothes, books, bric-a-brac and collectables, and a selection of new items.

We have positions available on the shop floor and in our stock room or you could volunteer to do a mixture of both.

Volunteer Charity Shop Assistant responsibilities:

• Helping customers in the shop find what they need.
• Accepting donations of items and money from the public.
• Processing sales through the till and card machine, including Gift Aid.
• Sorting through donated items to determine what we can sell.
• Preparing donated items for sale by steaming and hanging items.
• Merchandising stock on the shop floor.
• Creating attractive shop window displays.

What we are looking for in a volunteer Charity Shop Assistant:

• Friendly volunteers who are confident talking to people.
• Retail experience would be ideal but is not necessary as full training will be given.
• We are ideally aiming for someone who is flexible and can offer an ongoing commitment either on Fridays in the afternoon or on Saturdays from 9.30am to 4pm.

We are looking for volunteers, predominantly childcare, for our Amies projects supporting female survivors of trafficking.

The Amies Projects are drama and singing workshops, providing an uplifting and empowering space for participants to make friends, learn new skills and get creative together.

We hold three sessions each week and provide childcare for all the participants who need it. The sessions for the participants are in an adjacent room to the childcare space, meaning parents are nearby.

We are seeking volunteers to offer their time twice a month (although more is always welcome!), one session will be offering childcare support, the other session will be assisting with the workshops.

Description of role

Childcare once a month: To provide childcare for young people aged 0-12. During the session there is no set curriculum to follow. We encourage children to be creative, offering arts supplies eg. play doh and crayons, as well as toys for creative play. Children will have food during the session, which will be provided either by the charity or by the parents depending on the age and preferences. Children will need to be supported to use the toilet, nappies changed etc. We ask that volunteers alert staff of any safeguarding issues arising.

Supporting the workshops once a month: Assisting our artist facilitators and participant volunteers with the running of the sessions, including setting out food, tidying after the meal, setting up the space and participating in the workshops (singing and drama activities).

It’s easy to forget how long a week can feel when you’re on your own. Could you spare an hour to brighten an older person’s day? Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale is looking for friendly volunteers to offer companionship to people who may spend long periods alone with little or no social contact.

About the Role:

The Jawbone Collective is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive volunteer to jump in at a pivotal moment. We are bringing a dedicated community literary hub and word café to life—a welcoming space celebrating regional storytelling, spoken word, and inclusive creative culture.

Our crowdfunding campaign page is officially live right now, and our full public launch push takes place this week. We are looking for someone who loves grassroots promotion and storytelling to jump straight in and help us build immediate visibility, rally early supporters, and drive momentum throughout the campaign rollout. Once the campaign concludes, we would love to keep working together on a steady, ongoing basis to support our Substack, social media channels, and community announcements as our new hub opens its doors.

Key Responsibilities:

 Crowdfunder Launch & Promotion (Immediate Priority):

 Jump straight into preparing and executing the daily promotional push as we roll out our public launch this week.

 Help craft and post timely campaign updates, early backer milestones, calls to action, and visual content.

 Assist in digital outreach to local groups, creative networks, and online communities to build momentum from day one.

 Community Engagement & Content:

 Foster welcoming discussions and moderate comments across our social platforms and Substack.

 Help write, format, and schedule regular newsletter updates and announcements.

Time Commitment & Way of Working:

The role is fully remote with regular Zoom catch-ups. Right now, during the launch and active crowdfunder push, we are looking for someone who can contribute from around 6 hours a week upwards, structured flexibly around your schedule. Once the campaign phase finishes, the role transitions to a lighter, steady rhythm (flexible according to your availability) to support ongoing community engagement. If you happen to be based in or around Dorset, you are always welcome to visit and attend in-person events, but being local is not required.

The Shenanigans Club is looking for four reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to support Cup of Kindness 2026, delivered through TSC Impact, our community initiative.

Cup of Kindness is our annual winter initiative, created to offer a simple moment of warmth and care to people experiencing homelessness and others in need during the colder months.

Date: Saturday 5 December 2026

Volunteer time: 11:15am–5:00pm

Location: East London – exact location to be confirmed

Commitment: One-day volunteer opportunity; volunteers should be available for the full session

Pay: Unpaid volunteer role

Travel: Volunteers are responsible for their own travel to and from the confirmed location

What you’ll be doing

This is a practical, outdoor volunteering opportunity. Volunteers will work alongside the TSC Impact team throughout the day and will be involved in:

• Setting up and packing down
• Preparing and handing out hot drinks and refreshments
• Welcoming and interacting respectfully with members of the public
• Supporting the team and getting involved where needed

Volunteers should be comfortable being on their feet for approximately 4–5 hours across the day, with reasonable breaks where needed, and prepared for normal December weather.

If severe weather makes it unsafe or impractical for Cup of Kindness to go ahead, volunteers will be contacted as soon as possible.

About Rockinghorse

Rockinghorse was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann as an appeal to provide the first neonatal incubator outside London.

The appeal not only marked the beginning of our charity, but also the very early days of what later became the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. Dr Mann was intrinsic to paediatric care in Sussex as we know it today.

Roll forward to today, and we are proud to be the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton along with the Trevor Mann Baby Unit.

We also support many other NHS hospital settings throughout Sussex, including Bluefin Ward at Worthing, Chalkhill and the Special Care Baby Unit at Haywards Heath, and Howard Ward at St Richard’s in Chichester.

Working in partnership with these services, we fund projects which focus on improving children’s physical and emotional well-being, while providing additional support services for parents and carers.

The projects we support fall into six key categories: toys, equipment, spaces, research, activities, and people.

We are now entering an exciting new chapter. After a period of exceptional growth, fundraising has become increasingly central to what is possible next - creating opportunities to broaden our reach, deepen our impact and invest in the future and so we are looking for a Fundraising Trustee to join our Board.

This is not simply about reviewing fundraising reports or providing technical expertise. It is an opportunity to bring strategic insight, constructive challenge and fresh thinking to help shape how CoppaFeel! builds sustainable income and achieves its ambitions over the next decade.

What it's like around the Board table

Our Board is lively, collaborative, respectful, energetic, curious and challenging. The Board has a strong and open relationship with the Executive Team. Trustees provide strategic support and constructive challenge, while giving the team the space to lead and deliver.As CoppaFeel! grows, we're determined to protect what makes us special — our personality, authenticity, entrepreneurial spirit and the legacy of our founder Kris.

Time commitment

Trustees meet quarterly, usually for around 2.5 hours, with additional time for preparation and occasional advice or support between meetings.

Trustees are unremunerated, although reasonable travel expenses can be claimed. 

The initial term is three years, with the possibility of reappointment.
