Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 27,000 young people since 2001. We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme.

Our work is growing, particularly in the North West of England, and we are looking for new Programme Leads to deliver our programmes so that all children and young people, regardless of their needs, feel they belong and can prosper.
Our new Programme Leads will work as part of a team in secondary schools to support young people, their families, and school staff to ensure that at-risk pupils make the most of their education and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes, including Teens and Toddlers and Power2 Progress. The successful candidates could be based in one school or travel between multiple schools.

Our facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority and must embrace responsibility and be accountable for their work. About Hope for the Young
Hope for the Young is on a mission to remove the obstacles to young refugees and asylum-seeker’s education and well-being through a bespoke package of one-to-one mentoring, advocacy, and financial support.
Founded in 2008, Hope for the Young has grown from a small grant-making charity led by its Trustees to an organisation that, last year, worked closely alongside 135 young people, with 11 staff members, and 150 dedicated volunteer mentors.
Our Mentoring Programme operates London-wide and matches young refugees and asylum-seekers aged 16-25 with trained volunteer mentors who provide tailored one-to-one support and advice according to their needs.
Our Grants and Advocacy Programme promotes equal access to education for young refugees and asylum-seekers across the UK whose immigration status makes them ineligible for student finance, and those who are facing extreme financial hardship. We provide educational bursaries that pay for tuition fees, living allowances, and travel expenses alongside tailored advocacy support and advice throughout their studies.
As we embark on our next 3-year strategy, we are seeking an exceptional and proactive leader who can oversee all aspects of our Fundraising and Communications at Hope for the Young, bring fresh ideas, and drive the organisation forward.
About the Role
As our Fundraising and Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and expanding our impact so that more young refugees can access the education and one-to-one support they need to rebuild their lives in the UK. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with donors and supporters, writing funding applications, and effectively communicating our message to a range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies to generate substantial income towards Hope for the Young’s programmes.
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations to build diverse and sustainable income streams.
- Draft high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations and statutory sources, working with external consultants as required.
- Plan and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals, ensuring maximum engagement and participation.
- Provide excellent donor stewardship through high-quality updates and monitoring reports, face-to-face meetings, and other key communications.
- Create compelling content for our website, impact reports, newsletters, videos, and social media to enhance brand awareness and drive donor engagement.
- Shape the fundraising and communications team through recruiting and managing new staff members, consultants, and volunteers where required.
- Collaborate with our team and young people to develop impactful storytelling initiatives that highlight the experiences and achievements of young refugees.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising and communications efforts, making data-driven decisions to optimise outcomes.
- Take responsibility for ensuring donor records are up to date on our database (Salesforce) for effective supporter communications and engagement.
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role with a track record of generating substantial income from new and existing donors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and crafting compelling narratives.
- Extensive trust fundraising experience including researching, drafting, and submitting funding applications and overseeing multiple reporting deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build, inspire, and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate partners.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and fundraising software.
- Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated, with a ‘can do’ approach and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

What you'll do:
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
Empower customers to be part of the local community and active participants in the local community as part of a Recovery Capital model.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding making referrals where an unmet need has been identified via the multi-agency assessment.
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.
Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks as past of the assessment of daily living skills, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
Co produce In Reach services at the Assessment Centre so that we are able to action plan jointly with partner agencies and feed into any action plans in regard to customers support needs e.g. Substance Misuse treatment plans
Attend training and workshops that are delivered via partner agencies were possible to provide a through and up to date assessment.
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to, including assessment and support of budgeting and debt management to garner their tenancy readiness.
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.

What is Screen Share?
Screen Share is a grassroots refugee charity which provides laptops, phones, tablets, data, digital skills to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We use the power of volunteering to turn discarded tech into good quality techical tools for refugees to improve their situation on their own terms. We are now launching a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London and are looking for someone to run it and provide ad-hoc technical support to our team of volunteer laptop refurbishers!
Role overview
Screen Share is looking for a proactive, self-starter and leader to launch a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London, support tech volunteers to remotely refurbish laptops, respond to faults and perceived faults with devices we have provided to service users, and support with sourcing and refurbishing devices.
The postholder will have experience of at least Level 2 laptop repair and an interest in upskilling others in basic laptop refurbishment
Outcome 1
Co-design and co-deliver a laptop refurbishment training programme for 40 refugees and asylum seekers in London

Cara support is typically framed as temporary sanctuary offered at times of heightened risk.
Cara Objectives ‘To assist academics who have been, or are, or are at risk of being, subject to discrimination, persecution, suffering or violence on account of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, to relieve needs among them and their dependants and ensure that their specialist knowledge and abilities can continue to be used for the benefit of the public.’

Fellowship Programme Officer Role & Responsibilities
Casework
- Receiving and processing applications for support
- Working directly with academics facing immediate risk in their home countries to carry out due diligence

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Act as the operational focal person for grantees and provide support throughout the grant cycle on contractual, operational and reporting matters, drawing on and coordinating expertise from the Grants Managers and Fiduciary Risk Team (FRT)

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.
Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.
· You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.
About You
The post holder will have experience/background in:
· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
· Setting up and running groups.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
