The Head of Grants will take a leading role in shaping The Childhood Trust’s grant-making approach. This is both a strategic and practical role - the postholder will manage the full cycle for our existing grant-making (Big Give) campaign and oversee a small team. About the Role
This role leads all aspects of Foodrise’s communications, ensuring our campaigns reach key audiences, drive systemic change in the food system and achieve our new strategic goals:
You will develop and implement a media and communications strategy, build our media profile, oversee digital channels, and act as guardian of our brand. This includes centring communities at the heart of campaigns, building our public profile with key audiences including journalists, developing our range of allies, reflecting our understanding of historical injustice in the food system, and fostering an experimentation and learning culture. This role will also oversee all website and social media channels, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure communications are built into campaigns from the outset to enhance reach and potential.
This role would suit an experienced communications professional who is excited to think deeply about the way communications can support systemic change in the food sector. Training
Starting a career in Children’s Social Care comes with a lot to learn, which is why we provide a 4-week fully paid induction and training programme to make sure you feel supported and confident in your new role.
Working Hours
Our children and young people need support around the clock so our homes run 24/7 and we operate on fixed rotas with a variety of shift patterns.
As a Trainee Practitioner, you’ll work day shifts between 8am and 10pm, with 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts available. You’ll usually work an average of 40 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.
For example, if you work four 10-hour shifts, you’ll then have three days off. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half, including bank holidays.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to serve as Coordinator, leading the mission of Street Pastors in Kingston. Context
Kingston Street Pastors is a churches initiative which has been operating since 2006 deploying Christian volunteers in the town centre in the night time to Care, Listen and Help. We enjoy excellent relationships with key stakeholders in Kingston’s night time economy including our local council, police and businesses. Within the wider Street Pastors movement we have made significant contributions over the years to develop policy and practice and have worked closely with neighbouring Street Pastors initiatives and with the Ascension Trust. For governance purposes Kingston Street Pastors operates as an affiliated project of Oxygen, a Kingston based youth work charity.
Our key strategic priorities are to maintain and build on the positive relationships we have with our local council, the police and businesses in the night time economy, taking advantage of opportunities for collaboration, accessing funding and other forms of support. About the Role

Role & Responsibilities
Casework
Signposting prospective applicants to the application form.

About the Role
As a Support Worker in a Children’s Home, you will provide direct support and care for our young people, who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged between12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our those in our care are safe, providing support, liaison with other external professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

The Project Delivery & Capability Manager plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery of the ARUK’s 10-year strategy through the development and embedding of an effective, scalable and proportionate Project Management Framework.
This is not a traditional project management role. Managing the Project Delivery team and with line management responsibility for the Senior Projects Officer, the post holder will help drive organisational project management maturity by acting as a trusted partner, advisor and expert for project and programme teams across the charity. Through coaching, consultation, training and hands-on partnering support, the role will help ensure major, cross-organisational strategic initiatives are set up for success and delivered effectively.
Operating within an evolving hub-and-spoke model, the Project Delivery and Capability Manager will work closely with leaders of large, complex and strategically significant projects and programmes, providing expertise in areas such as planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, dependency management and benefits realisation. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Identifying training, learning and development opportunities or needs
Developing learning resources, including e-learning and guidance documents
Managing MA learn, the MA's learning management system (LMS)
Overseeing the MA's community outreach programme (Magistrates in the Community)
Coordinating MA input into wider magistrate training, both nationally and through representation on local training committees.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Policy committees
Support the MA’s training, learning and development committee by organising regular meetings, sharing minutes and actions.
Propose priorities and manage programmes of work for the committee
Provide high-quality information to ensure that committee members and other interested parties are up to date with relevant information
Ensure agreed actions and decisions of the policy committees are implemented
Build and maintain excellent relationships with committee members
Provide support to committee members to enable them to effectively contribute to the work of the MA
Assist in the training and development of committee members
Agree and implement committee working practices.
Contribute to supporting the MA's other policy committees
Volunteer support
Support representatives in post
Work with magistrates to develop and coordinate learning materials
Learning
Develop and upload learning resources to our learning platform.
Be the first point of contact for member queries about our learning platform and other training related matters
With the membership team, liaise with external stakeholders to plan and deliver the MA's webinar series
Edit webinar footage and create transcripts to upload to MA learn
Monitor learner behaviour on the MA learn and use this to inform learning development plans.
Policy and research
Provide input to proposed policy and research work
Work with policy colleagues to translate research and policy into learning materials.
Communications
Work closely with the communications team to support the delivery of the MA’s learning communications, both for members and externally
Ensure the accuracy of training information contained in MA communications outputs
Contribute to our Magistrate magazine, newsletters, website content, social media and press releases.
Membership
Support the work of the MA’s membership team to recruit and retain members
Assist in responding to members’ queries and provide up to date information about training and learning issues.
Other duties
Contribute to team meetings, organisational strategy and priorities
Be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role
Contribute to other organisational tasks, such as support for our webinars and events on occasion.

ESSENTIAL
Experience of using a learning management system (LMS)

This position is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Salary
The salary for this position is £42,455 pro rata and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
