Policy Campaigns Officer
A permanent position has arisen as part of the continued growth of our campaigns work within our friendly Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns department. The Policy Campaigns Officer will play a key role in helping the charity deliver high-impact campaigns that mobilise supporters, influence policy, and raise awareness of issues relating to dementia research.
Working across digital and offline channels, you will support integrated campaign planning and delivery, contribute to evaluation and insight, and coordinate activity across multiple teams.
This exciting role will tackle complex issues, offering opportunities to work on innovative public-facing campaigns, digital engagement, and translating policy objectives into compelling actions and messages that drive measurable change for people living with, and affected by, dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign development and delivery
· Support the development and delivery of campaigns aligned to the charity’s strategic policy objectives.
· Help design campaign plans, including objectives, audiences, tactics, timelines and evaluation measures.
· Deliver campaign activity across a range of channels, both digital and offline.
· Work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure campaigns are evidence-led, inclusive and aligned with organisational priorities.
· Monitor campaign performance and contribute to evaluation and learning.
· Act as a point of contact for work with external agencies and suppliers.
Influencing and supporter mobilisation
· Support efforts to influence decision-makers by mobilising supporters and amplifying public voices.
· Work with policy and public affairs colleagues to align public-facing campaign activity with political influencing messaging and objectives.
· Help build and maintain relationships with supporters, volunteers, partner organisations and coalitions.
· Assist with producing campaign briefings, messaging and supporter-facing materials.
Communications and digital campaigning
· Work closely with communications and digital teams to deliver integrated campaign content.
· Support the development of email, social media and online action tools to engage supporters.
· Adapt campaign messages for different audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy and impact.
· Contribute to content planning and delivery to maximise reach and engagement.
Events and engagement activity
· Support the planning and delivery of campaign-related events, both online and in-person.
· Represent the charity at relevant events, meetings and conferences as required.
· Assist with coordinating meetings and briefings involving supporters, stakeholders and internal teams.
· Liaise with colleagues, supporters and external partners to ensure effective delivery of campaign activity.
What we are looking for:
· Experience supporting or delivering public-facing campaigns, advocacy or engagement activity
· Understanding of how campaigns can influence decision-makers and public opinion.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About the Role
Headway East London is looking for a creative and values-driven Communications Officer to support and develop the voice of Headway East London – working with our community of brain injury survivors, volunteers, and staff to co-produce content that shares our stories, increases awareness and broadens our reach.
You’ll play a central role in promoting our services, supporting income generation, and amplifying the voices of our members through a range of marketing and communications activity. You’ll balance digital know-how with a collaborative approach, developing accessible, engaging content across channels including our website, social media, e- newsletters, and print materials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Delivery
- Deliver and support the implementation of our communications and marketing strategy across all channels (digital and print).
- Support a regular calendar of activity across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, YouTube) to maintain and grow a network of online supporters.
- Support on maintaining and developing content for the Headway East London website (using WordPress and Elementor), including blog posts, service pages and events.
- Create engaging, relevant and accessible content including copy, video, photography, audio and graphics (using Canva), in line with brand guidelines and accessibility principles.
- Co-ordinate monthly e-newsletters and other communications using Mailchimp to a variety of audiences.
Community & Co-Production
- Work with our members(services users - people with brain injury),volunteers and staff to co-create content that reflects their voices and experiences.
- Ensure accessibility is embedded in all communications, including use of plain English, inclusive visuals, and a variety of formats.
- Engage the wider Headway East London community in developing campaigns, storytelling, and communications planning.
Campaigns, Partnerships & Income Generation
- Support fundraising and development teams to plan and deliver digital campaigns that increase donations, engagement and awareness.
- Explore opportunities for brand development, partnerships and earned media that align with our values and strategic priorities.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with local and national media outlets and stakeholders.
Internal Communications
- Support internal communication needs across the organisation, helping teams stay informed and connected across multiple sites.
- Help develop internal resources and templates that enable teams to produce consistent, values-led communications.

Reporting to our Head of Student Representation and Partnerships, your main responsibilities will be to lead, coordinate, and evaluate student‑led campaigns that turn Bath Spa students’ priorities and lived experiences into visible, inclusive, and impactful action - empowering Sabbatical Officers, student leaders, and networks to deliver on their commitments.

Requirements and Qualifications
Valuable assets include the ability to plan, deliver campaigns with attention to detail and time management skills. You should have a personable manner with a genuine interest and motivation in understanding of student issues (housing, cost of living, sustainability) and ability to translate feedback into actionable advocacy
Rather than focus on traditional education requirements, it would be advantageous to have the lived experience in campaigning, lobbying and evidence gathering.

Working closely with the Planning & Advocacy Manager, you’ll track political opportunities, coordinate response activism and use insight and evaluation to strengthen future campaign strategy.
A key part of the role is volunteer leadership. You’ll use the Team Kinetic system to recruit, coordinate and engage with your own volunteers to support campaigning and activism alongside strengthen the wider work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a mission-driven campaigner with a strong track record of designing & delivering impactful public campaigns and event programmes. You’ll be experienced in mobilising and supporting volunteers, activists and community groups with a solid understanding of grassroots organising and movement-building. You’ll also be a confident communicator with good Microsoft 365 skills, comfortable working in political, environmental or advocacy settings and able to stay resilient under pressure.
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week (standard hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm) based at Foxburrow Nature Reserve. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The starting salary will be between £31,000 and £35,000 per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

Job description
The Capacity Development unit seeks an officer to support the implementation of the Advocacy Institute programme.The Advocacy Institute is a flagship programme of the NCDA that strengthens NCD civil society with a focus on coalition building and advocacy. It includes Seed, Accelerator and Regional tracks reflecting the different levels of readiness of alliances and their needs. The Seed track supports the establishment and strengthening of NCD civil society networks incountries/regions where these are non-existent or nascent. The Accelerator track works with established NCD alliances to spur advocacy efforts where there are windows of opportunity for specific policy change. The Regional track supports coalition building, advocacy and accountability opportunities of regional alliances. The programme supports selectedgeographies via a combination of grants, technical assistance, peer-to-peer learning, and training; the position will also support the delivery of such offerings.
The Capacity Development Officer will support the roll-out of the Seed and Accelerator tracks, currently in the last year of the Advocacy Institute third phase 2024-2026, and its work with different national alliances aiming to increase the capacity of NCD alliances to drive effective locally-owned advocacy campaigns. In 2026, the officer will also support the evaluation process for the third phase and the design and scoping of the Advocacy Institute fourth phase.
Core responsibilities:
•Support the roll out of Advocacy Institute particularly the seed and accelerator tracks in their different components: grants, technical support, and trainings.
•Support the CD unit in grant management duties, including grantee communications, revision of technical and financial proposals, grant award and grantee reporting.
•Support the organisation of the Advocacy Institute trainings, webinars and events as required, includingparticipant support, administrative functions, supporting curriculum development, and evaluation.
·Support the evaluation process of the third phase of the Advocacy Institute (2024-2026).
·Support the scoping of the fourth phase of the Advocacy Institute.
·Leverage NCDA expertise providing technical assistance to alliances and facilitating networking opportunities, enable access to NCDA expertise, advocacy advice and support, and also access to a broader network of advocates who can provide peer-to-peer support.
•Support the provision of written content to promote regional and national activity through NCD Alliancecommunication channels, including social media and website.
•Support the maintenance of regular communications with national NCD alliances for advocacy and network updates.
•Support the maintenance of an updated contacts database of regional and national NCD alliances.
•Support the development of research and knowledge products as needed (e.g., civil society mappings,guides, reports, programme documentation, etc.).
•Support the maintenance of up-to-date Capacity Development content in the NCDA website.
•Handle administrative responsibilities in support of Capacity Development activities as needed.
•Support the mobilisation of regional and national NCD alliances in support of global advocacy campaigns,including Global Week for Action, and any other opportunities.
Required competencies:
·Advanced university degree in public health, international relations, public policy, or similar, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the non-profit area.
·Demonstrated interest and understanding of global health and development; policy-oriented research and advocacy, knowledge of NCDs would be ideal, particularly on aspects related to NCD prevention (e.g., alcohol control, food policies, environmental health/air pollution) and control (e.g. access to medicines, Universal health coverage, primary health care, NcDs/HIV integration) and NCD financing. Health policy and/or public health background is preferred.
·International work experience is highly desired, as well as professional knowledge of research, advocacy, policy and/or programmes.
·Excellent organisational and strategic planning skills and ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
·Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment with solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
·Excellent judgment, strategic thinker, initiative taker.
·Excellent analysis, writing and oral communications skills in English – foreign language skills are a plus (Spanish and/or French).
·Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
·Availability for international travel (10%; as needed)

The Role
Future Advocacy is seeking a Digital Campaigns Consultant. This is a great opportunity to do impactful work within a small, dynamic organisation that places a strong focus on team and personal development.The successful candidate will be a natural digital campaigner and eager to contribute to our work with our brilliant clients. They will quickly develop a range of skills, including digital strategy, content development, communications and stakeholder management of agencies. They will work closely with our Digital Campaigns Director; the Country Directors, CEO, Managing Director, and other senior leaders as part of our small and energetic team.
The Digital Campaigns Consultant will also support the Country Directors in implementing a flagship project which works with partners to raise awareness and understanding about the importance of reducing poverty and improving health in low income countries. They will also work on other projects aiming to push back against authoritarianism, polarisation, and populist nativism.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the design, delivery and evaluation of digital communication strategies and online creative campaigns across Future Advocacy’s broad range of clients.
- Supporting the implementation of Future Advocacy's flagship project across markets, aimed at enhancing political support for global cooperation.
- Coordinating with partner stakeholders and agencies to support the design and delivery of bold, high-impact digital communications in the UK, Germany, EU and beyond.
- Supporting effective project management
- Contribute flexibly and proactively, taking on additional tasks that help the team succeed as needed.
Requirements

- 2 - 6 years of experience in digital campaigning
- Experience of applying key digital skills in a communications and campaigns setting such as:
- social media management
- digital copywriting
- Ad creation and management (e.g. LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, programmatic),
- Email copywriting
- CMS (Wordpress, Drupal, or similar)
- CRM management (such as Engaging Networks, Action Network, Salesforce, or similar)
- First-class written and verbal communications skills in English
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Precision in delivering high quality work in a fast-paced yet supportive environment
Nice to Have:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Written and verbal communication skills in German would be a big advantage

- Some basic HTML and CSS skills which means you could tweak a web page or email template.

This exciting role has been created to develop a new campaigns function at the Mental Health Foundation, incorporating our existing media team and working closely with policy, research and lived experience colleagues across the UK, with the aim of driving support for policy change.
What does the role involve?
- Developing a campaigns strategy for MHF and deliver its execution.

Key Responsibilities
To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.
Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning
With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:
- Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
- Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
- Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
- Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
- Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.
- Keeping watch on UK policy environment and conducting research and analysis to support CBM UK advocacy messaging on disability and human rights.
Dissemination and Communications
- Maintaining and developing internal knowledge management systems for research and information on disability inclusion and rights, and related areas, to be used by Advocacy, Programmes and Fundraising & Communications teams.
- Ensuring communication plans are developed with CBM UK and Global Federation colleagues for CBM UK evidence outputs.
- Maintaining the Advocacy and Influencing pages of the CBM UK website ensuring rights-based communication and focus to support CBM UK and Global campaigns.
- Liaison with Fundraising & Communications colleagues to amplify media stories, case studies and compelling evidence from country programming for advocacy purposes.
- Participation in and building good relationships with UK-based disability and development networks, including relevant research networks and membership of the BOND Disability and Development Group.
- Supporting the professional publication and printing of CBM UK outputs, for dissemination at advocacy engagements and public events.
Other
- Work with other CBM UK teams to maximise cross fertilisation opportunities and integrated working.
- Help develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM. Play an active role across CBM, promoting positive working and innovation. Ensure that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
- Identify opportunities to initiate and contribute to new initiatives and events, both within CBM UK and externally.
