What we are looking for:

Job title: Impact and Communications Officer

We're looking for a curious and capable Impact and Communications Officer to help us find, assess, report on and support some of the world’s highest impact climate and nature charities. 

Internally, you will play a critical role in supporting the research on charities within our portfolio that our Due Diligence Committee oversees – helping develop our methodology and feeding into charity selection and assessment projects. You’ll help write impact reports and coordinate webinars for our network about our charities. You’ll also manage, update and clean leads in our CRM (Beacon), and support month-end financial processing. 

Externally, you will produce much of the Global Returns Project’s communications content, telling compelling stories about cutting-edge environmental projects. You’ll assist with scheduling and sending our newsletters, keeping our website up-to-date, and editing video content. As we generate support for our portfolio via public campaigns and match-funding initiatives, you’ll help coordinate these efforts in line with the strategy set by the wider team. 

You will thrive in a small, fast-moving team – taking initiative, being collaborative, and contributing to shared goals. Crucially, you'll care deeply about climate and nature. 

Professional experience preferred: Some professional experience in marketing and communications (as a guide, likely 1-3 years).

Development and delivery of the Data, Research and Impact strategy through a cascade of the overall business strategy by ensuring Felix uses robust evidence, technology and research to maximise its social impact and make effective strategic decisions.

Essential Criteria 

• Significant senior-level experience leading impact, insight, research, functions, with a track record of using evidence to shape organisational strategy and decision-making.

• Strong experience of developing impact measurement frameworks, KPIs and reporting approaches that demonstrate organisational performance and social impact.

• Experience of improving data governance, data quality and data management practices across teams, with a clear understanding of responsible data use and data privacy regulations (eg GDPR).

• Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, creating clarity, focus and high standards across insight generation, research and reporting.

• Strong strategic communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate asks, recommendations and trade-offs to ELT, boards and senior stakeholders.

• Experience of contributing at senior management team level, influencing cross-functional roadmaps and priorities within data, digital or technology environments.

• Practical experience of using AI or advanced digital tools to strengthen analysis, insight generation, forecasting or reporting efficiency, alongside strong consideration of ethics, governance and adoption

Day to day, the Events Officer manages supporter journeys from end-to-end. Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer

North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington.  Our services are completely free of charge however it now costs more than £16m a year to run our charity. We are recruiting one full time permanent Funding Officer in Newcastle upon Tyne. Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of the North East regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.  

These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our North East regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.

We are looking for people who will work across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for Newcastle upon Tyne.

Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in Newcastle and have good knowledge of the local area.

The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from Fund offices, from home as well as conduct visits across the region. The North East regional office is in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Help build South East London's renewable energy future

South East London Community Energy (SELCE) is looking for a Community Renewable Energy Project Developer to help deliver one of London's most exciting community-owned renewable energy programmes.

Working alongside our experienced Renewable Energy Projects Manager and CEO, you will develop community-owned solar projects from initial feasibility through to installation. As your experience grows, you will progressively take ownership of your own projects, developing technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills. What will you be doing?

You will guide the charity's strategy and drive a period of transformation, ensuring our operations are effective, fully compliant, and set up for long-term sustainability. Your leadership is about ensuring that our strategy, finances, and operations all serve to give our animals the best possible chance of recovery and a loving, forever home. 

To achieve this, the role is structured around three key areas of focus:

Strategy, Governance and Compliance

• Work with the Board of Trustees to develop and deliver a strategic vision with animal welfare at its heart.

• Act as the charity’s lead ambassador, building relationships with the press, local authorities, other neighbouring and notable charities, and animal welfare professionals to enhance our external reputation. 

• Oversee our operational planning, including the day-to-day management of staffing rotas and fleet resources. Provide direct line management to the senior leadership team, making sure everyone has the support they need to work effectively.

Time Commitment
