About the role
We are looking for an experienced Grants Manager to join our Fundraising team and play a key role in stewarding relationships with our institutional funders. You will manage a portfolio of trusts, foundations and statutory donors, ensuring excellent account management and delivering high-quality applications and reports that help secure and grow vital funding.
Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, campaigns and finance, you will identify opportunities to deepen partnerships with existing supporters while ensuring compliance, strong communication and long-term relationship building. Your work will directly contribute to achieving our fundraising targets and supporting the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.
About you
You are an experienced grants professional with a strong track record of securing significant income from trusts, foundations or statutory funders. You are highly organised and confident managing multiple relationships, from identifying opportunities and developing compelling proposals through to reporting and ongoing stewardship.
You are an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex information into clear, persuasive proposals and donor updates. Collaborative and proactive, you enjoy working across teams, building trusted relationships with colleagues and funders alike. You are motivated and comfortable using own initiative.

The Finance department is a shared services function working across the NCIs to provide a comprehensive, cost-effective finance service to each organisation, and helping to co-ordinate joint projects where appropriate. The team also provides support to, and promotes best practice across the wider Church in relation to financial matters, including monitoring the financial health of Dioceses, Cathedrals, Theological Education Institutions etc.
The Finance team is currently supporting their NCI clients with some major change and transformation projects, as well as undergoing significant changes to their own ways of working to ensure they can deliver a high-quality Finance service which meets the needs of the NCIs. This includes undertaking a Finance Transformation Programme to help Finance develop their service (replacing an ageing finance system as well as associated process improvement and changes to ways of working) and supporting the Church of England Governance Programme which will reshape the National Church Institutions themselves.
As one of two deputies in the team, the Deputy Head of FP&A (Finance Business Partnering) has a key role to play in supporting the management of the day to day cycle of the Financial Planning and Analysis function for a period of 12 months, whilst the Finance Transformation Programme is ongoing and the Head of FP&A takes on a wider transformational role. The role will directly line manage the 5 Finance Business Partners supporting each NCI to deliver core business partnering, management accounting and reporting services. The role will also help to support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis by leading on business-as-usual including any ad hoc analysis requirements, change initiatives and efficiency and process improvements to further embed Finance Business Partnering across the NCIs and to bring a greater level of consistency, efficiency and quality to financial reporting and planning processes until the Finance Transformation Programme is complete.
Strong capabilities in leading and line managing a business partnering team will be needed as well as the ability to independently take initiative to deliver on day-to-day operational requirements including setting overall timetables and processes, ensuring delivery of reporting to required KPIs and supporting the development and management of the team.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, CCAB or equivalent qualified finance professional with strong experience of people management and leadership skills, to play a key leadership role in the Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The Deputy Head of FP&A (Finance Business Partnering) will directly lead a team of Finance Business Partners (5 direct reports) to provide excellent core financial reporting and planning activities and co-ordination across the NCIs of the budgeting and planning cycle, ensuring the Finance Business Partnering team are well supported to deliver high quality strategic partnering to each of the NCIs.
Together with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and the Deputy Head of FP&A (Management Accounting and Analysis), you will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial planning and reporting processes and annual cycle across all of the NCIs, maintaining consistent service levels and leading on business as usual change, particularly addressing any immediate internal audit change requirements and managing risk of the current manual processes.
You will work collaboratively with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to ensure high quality seamless Finance support to each of the NCIs as well as to a range of projects, programmes and analysis requirements within the NCIs.
You will specifically act to support and oversee the work across the Finance Business Partnering team including developing the capabilities of newer Finance Business Partners and their underlying teams across their work, understanding the business and providing leadership, meaningful financial insight and advice to support the delivery of strategic and operational objectives. You will also specifically support Church of England Central Services (ChECS) and its subsidiaries (CHECS Trading and PGS) to deliver high quality financial reporting and support to the Chief Operating Officer and Board.

Role purpose
The Senior Delivery Manager plays a key role in leading high-quality operational delivery across WorldSkills UK’s workforce development products and services. The postholder will be responsible for contract, project and performance management, ensuring all programmes are delivered efficiently, consistently and to a high standard. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role leads operational systems, processes and delivery management to support effective provision for further and higher education and the skills system, raising standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
Key tasks and responsibilities
The postholder will be accountable for ensuring that workforce development programmes and services are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to a high standard, with strong operational oversight and continuous improvement.
Contract and project management

Summary of terms and conditions

· The salary for this role is £50,000.
· WorldSkills UK offers a maximum employer’s contribution to your pension of 6% of your basic salary, on the condition that you make an employee contribution to your pension of at least 3%. You may choose to contribute a higher percentage of your salary to your pension, subject to statutory limits.

· The post is subject to six months’ probationary period with two weeks’ notice during the probationary period and one month thereafter.

After seven years, Mike Orlov is retiring as Chief Executive and Registrar of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters. The Board is now seeking a successor who can continue strengthening the organisation and raising the profile and importance of professional interpreters working across public services.
NRPSI is the independent voluntary regulator and national register for public service interpreters in the United Kingdom. It sets professional standards, upholds accountability and provides assurance to public sector organisations, including the Ministry of Justice, the Metropolitan Police and NHS bodies, in settings where interpreters are relied upon in critical situations.
In these environments, clear communication is essential. When it fails, the consequences can affect legal outcomes, safeguarding decisions and, in some situations, lives.
The organisation is entering an important moment in its development. The House of Lords Public Services Committee’s 2025 report on interpreting services in the courts has brought renewed national attention to the role that professional interpreters play across justice, policing and healthcare. At the same time, NRPSI continues to advance the longer-term ambition of statutory regulation and protection of title for Registered Public Service Interpreters.
As Victor Olowe, Chair of NRPSI, puts it: “This is an important moment for NRPSI and for the wider profession, particularly following the House of Lords 2025 report and the government’s commitment to address some of its key recommendations.”
As Chief Executive and Registrar, you’ll engage with senior stakeholders across government and public services while leading a specialist, long-standing team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Register and the standards that underpin it.
Drawing on your experience, you’ll help shape the organisation’s next stage of development and strengthen the role NRPSI plays in safeguarding the public through professional interpreting standards.
The Role
Stepping into this role, you’ll be accountable to the Board for the governance, strategic direction and operational leadership of the organisation.
This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the Chair and Board to shape the organisation’s strategy and priorities, while ensuring the Register continues to operate with credibility, integrity and independence.
You’ll have direct responsibility for the integrity of the Register itself. This includes oversight of registration, renewals, complaints and disciplinary processes, as well as responsibility for ensuring the organisation’s Code of Professional Conduct and regulatory framework remain robust and fit for purpose.
With your experience, moving between strategic and operational ground will come naturally to you. One week you may be engaging with senior civil servants or government departments about the importance of professional interpreting standards. The next you may be reviewing operational processes, supporting your team in the delivery of the Register’s core functions or ensuring the organisation’s financial position remains sustainable.
Your team works mainly remotely and are all long-standing, dedicated and experienced, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Register. Working in a remote-first environment, continuing a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional development while ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high standards of service is high on the list of priorities.
Externally, you’ll act as the senior voice of NRPSI. What does this mean in reality? Engaging with stakeholders across justice, policing, healthcare and central government, representing the organisation’s perspective clearly and authoritatively. This could include contributing to sector discussions, building relationships with policymakers and making the case for why professional interpreting standards matter to public safety and effective public services, or posting on LinkedIn and social channels, giving updates or hosting town halls for registrants.
The role also sees you supporting the organisation’s longer-term ambition of achieving statutory regulation and protection of title for Registered Public Service Interpreters, a goal that will genuinely benefit from the right leader’s credibility and persistence.
Financial sustainability also sits within your remit. NRPSI is funded through registration fees paid by interpreters, and you’ll oversee the organisation’s finances while ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver its strategic priorities. Alongside this, you’ll maintain oversight of operational systems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve resilience, efficiency and the effective use of digital tools.
The Person
This is a role that calls for someone who has operated at senior or director level within a charity, not-for-profit organisation, professional body, regulatory organisation, membership association or comparable public service environment.
Someone who understands the responsibilities that come with leading an organisation whose work centres on professional standards, governance and public protection, and who brings the credibility, judgement and experience required to engage effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including government departments, public sector organisations, registrants and sector partners.
A collaborative, trust-based leadership style will be just as important: someone equally comfortable exercising independent judgement as they are balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery in a specialist organisation where both are needed in equal measure.
You’ll bring most of the following:
- Senior leadership experience at director level or above within a charity, professional body, membership organisation, regulatory body or public service environment
- Experience influencing government policy or engaging with commissioners of public spending
- Experience developing or improving regulatory, registration or accreditation processes
- The ability to represent an organisation clearly and confidently in public, including engaging with senior civil servants, sector stakeholders and the media
- Financial literacy and experience overseeing organisational budgets and sustainability
- Experience developing and delivering strategy and operational plans
- Confidence using digital systems, data and communication platforms to support organisational priorities
- Understanding of, or experience in, a registrar or equivalent function within a professional, regulatory or standards body, including accountability for the integrity of registration processes and criteria
Desirable
- Familiarity with public affairs, policy engagement or advocacy work would be advantageous, as would exposure to justice, policing, healthcare or public service environments.
- Experience navigating politically sensitive or contested professional environments, including managing public criticism, would also be beneficial.
- A second language would be welcomed.
- Above all, you’ll share a commitment to the public interest and the role professional interpreting plays in ensuring fair access to justice and public services.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a Trust Fundraising Support Officer to join our growing fundraising team. 2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in further growing our income.
This new role will play a key part in delivering funding from Trusts, Foundations and other funders across the UK, supporting the Senior Trust Fundraising Officer to maximise our income. You will be responsible for making small-scale grant applications, and for growing our grants portfolio through identifying new funding opportunities.
There will be a range of projects to work on, providing vital support to ensure that we are increasing the number of warm funders who regularly support the charity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build up a strong pipeline of prospective funders by researching trusts that align with Epilepsy Action’s vision and strategy
- Secure income from small-scale charitable trusts, foundations, and other grant makers to meet individual and team targets
- Ensure timely thanking, updates and reporting for all grants and donations from our rolling programme of applications
- Use data in the CRM to analyse trends and identify opportunities
At Epilepsy Action we recognise the power of collaboration and teamwork, so our team members with hybrid contracts can expect to work a minimum of 40% at our office in Leeds. You will lead the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of acquisition campaigns, including the onboarding process, with full accountability for managing significant budgets, agency partnerships and performance metrics. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Campaign Leadership
- Develop and implement the multi-channel acquisition strategy, aligned with income targets and supporter growth objectives.
