Without GCSEs in English and maths, these young people are significantly more likely to drop out of education and are locked out of key professions, apprenticeships, and university courses.
Get Further exists to change this. Our charity has an award-winning tuition programme that helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds in further education to pass GCSEs in English or maths. We place highly qualified, specialist English and maths tutors in further education, who deliver a bespoke curriculum that builds confidence and skills in these core subjects.

THE ROLE
The Senior Data and Insights Officer will help us to demonstrate the importance of our tuition for young people and adults who are undertaking these foundational qualifications.
You will have strong attention-to-detail and will make sure our data is relevant, accurate and confidential. You will be skilled in data analysis and interpretation: able to draw out insights from data and be confident in writing – and communicating – impact for a variety of purposes and audiences.
As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Director of Impact, within our Quality and Impact Team to:
Database Usage and Reporting
- Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.
- Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Leadership Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
- Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact, clearly and accurately.
- • Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.
Internal and External Evaluations
- Support the Director of Impact in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.
- Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools.
- Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality.
- Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery.
- Manage large research projects with external evaluators.
Policy, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, as well as upholding our safeguarding frameworks.
- Implement policies and procedures relating to GDPR and ensure those policies are adhered to across the organisation.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL

About the role
This role is a job-share working with an existing Executive Assistant who is spending part of her time supporting the Director of Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns (PPC) and the PPC department. This role entails working with a wide range of groups internal and external to Christian Aid. The role will support the Director, taking on key pieces of work, including minutes taking and report of meetings, assisting with email, liaising with colleagues and other assistants, coordinating hosted events and stakeholder lists, planning logistics, booking travel and accommodation, editing and proofreading documents, conducting research, scheduling appointments and other administrative tasks, as appropriate.

About the role:
The Philanthropy & Events Executive will support our Philanthropy Lead and Managing Director to effectively manage existing match funding partner (“Champion”) relationships, and help to develop new Champion relationships. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and

About the role
Your key purpose will be to support the Individual Giving Manager in the provision of excellence in supporter care for individuals supporting all fundraising activities and projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, Gifts in Memory fundraising and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Individual Giving Manager on supporter stewardship.
The Supporter Care Co-ordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team.

We are an agile social enterprise looking for a qualified Finance Manager to manage and operate our existing finance function. Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. You will report to the Strategy Director. The role is advertised at 15 hours per week and the preference would be for these hours to be worked over 3 days, however this can be flexed in line with the cyclical nature of some of the finance activities, particularly during quarter end.
This role has management & operational responsibility for all finance processes including budgeting, cashflow, VAT, Payroll, and overall management of our bank accounts and treasury. The Finance Manager will also manage the relationship and coordinate with our outsourced financial service providers.

Person criteria
Essential
- Demonstrated finance qualification, ideally ACA/CA or ACCA. Undergrad degree in Accounting with considerable relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong experience in all aspects of financial management, accounting and tax.
- Natural aptitude for financial control & ability to identify areas of process risk.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Good communicator with ability to write clear instructions & summarise key messages for non-finance colleagues.
- Ability to advise & recommend logical actions to senior managers/directors.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities, remaining calm under pressure, whilst monitoring wider environment for related impact.
- Proactive and takes own initiative; comfortable making decisions & taking responsibility
- Access to appropriate connectivity & workspace which is conducive to productive home working
- Efficient, organised, accurate & thorough record-keeper, with keen attention to detail
- Experience working as part of a virtual/remote team.

- Experience using Xero or similar accounting package.
