About Give Blood 4 Good

We’re a Scottish registered charity dedicated to improving awareness and education around blood donation - especially among young people. By working with schools, universities and community groups, we’re breaking down misconceptions and fear that can be associat4ed with the process, and encouraging people to give blood as soon as they're eligible at 17.

After a successful pilot of our Young Ambassador Programme over the last three years, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth. This role marks a milestone for our charity - and you’ll be at the heart of helping us reach more students and schools across Scotland.

About the role

You’ll lead the expansion of our Young Ambassador Programme — a digital e-learning initiative designed to empower students to become informed, confident blood donation ambassadors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and managing relationships with schools

• Supporting and enrolling students

• Updating and improving programme content

• Coordinating with our e-learning platform provider

• Identifying and applying for funding to sustain and scale the programme

• Working closely with our small, friendly team of volunteers

Your role will also include additional tasks that support the day-to-day running of Give Blood 4 Good.

This is a fully remote role, with flexibility around working hours. You’ll be our only staff member, so we’re looking for someone who’s confident working independently and can take initiative while keeping others informed.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities

• Proactive, independent worker with a solution-focused mindset

• Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing

Desirable (but not essential)

The AI Opportunity Fund:

The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a  €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future. 

Position Overview: 

At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate)   based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is  critical  in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the effective administration of grants including ongoing due diligence and accurate record keeping, contributing to assessing proposals and organisations, stewarding and maintaining effective relationships with grantees and wider partners,  and ensuring compliance, timely reporting and payments. This role does not involve managing others.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Grant Strategy & Development

• Contribute to shaping the strategy, design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund.

• Support Management to ensure excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, building their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner.

• Work collaboratively with programme teams to gather necessary information, data, and insights for compelling letters of inquiry, grant applications and contract bids.

2. Grant Management & Compliance

• Oversee the implementation of awarded grants and contracts, ensuring adherence to donor guidelines, reporting requirements, and project targets and timelines.

• Actively manage programmatic risks and conduct ongoing due diligence on grantee and wider partners to ensure compliance. 

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely grant reports to key stakeholders in collaboration with finance and programme teams.

• Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, flagging any discrepancies or potential issues.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, fostering positive relationships,  triaging and addressing inquiries and supporting them to deliver effectively.

• Identify and escalate issues  in a timely manner, actively participate in proposing and implement solutions. 

3. DEIB & Collaborative Working

• Actively contribute to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging (DEIB) culture by embracing different perspectives and fostering an environment of respect.

• Support cross-team collaborative efforts to strengthen the grants administration and monitoring systems, processes and procedures.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

The salary range for this role is £40,934 - £50,759, mapped to years of experience and region. We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. Overview

The DfE has nominated CST as the employer representative for academy trusts for specific purposes (for example, the school support staff negotiating body).  The postholder will be required to work directly with the Department for Education at a senior level to undertake the duties associated with this employer representative role.  CST also wishes to strengthen its support to members on wider matters of employer policy. There is significant scope to shape and develop this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a detailed understanding of the terms and conditions of employment of teaching and support staff and the workforce issues affecting the education sector, particularly those influencing recruitment and retention of staff.

• The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (members, senior DfE officials and ministers) and work closely with other employer representative organisations.

• Working closely with the CEO and Deputy CEO, build relationships at senior level with trade unions (leadership, teacher and support staff unions).

• Lead on developing CST’s employer policy and guidance, working with our members and commanding their support and respect, and working closely with the policy team.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Likely educated to degree level (or holding a similar professional qualification or experience) with significant knowledge and experience of employment matters within the education sector and employer policy.

• The ideal candidate will have experience working at senior level likely within an educational, policy or consultancy setting. Knowledge of schools and the trust sector is essential as is the ability to respond to issues in a way which conveys the practical realities of working in schools.

• A sound understanding of the differences between academy trusts and the maintained sector.

• Secure knowledge of legislation, regulations and policy that affect school trusts.

• Authority and gravitas with the ability to speak up at meetings with senior officials with the required diplomacy and at all times with the members’ interests in mind.

Day-to-day you will manage the SHOAL database as the person responsible for collecting, collating and presenting the data relevant to all of SHOAL’s activities, partners, programmes and projects.

The primary set of data you will be managing is the SHOAL 1,000 Fishes Database. This is a database of more than 2,000 fish species that will require constant updates on their conservation status from experts and partners.

You will be a key person in collaborating with potentially hundreds of partners across the world to ensure that our database of priority species adequately reflects the action on the ground for each species.

To stand out you will bring your passion for conservation to the overlooked issue of the freshwater biodiversity crisis. The Senior Bid and Funding Officer is a new role for Involve as we seek to build the infrastructure to support the growth that we have experienced in recent years.  This role will sit within our Finance & Support Services function and will work alongside colleagues at all levels in the Innovation & Practice, Capacity Building & Standards and Advocacy & Communications functions to identify and provide compelling proposals in response to fundraising and tender opportunities. 

As Senior Bid and Funding Officer you will be responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities to bring forwards to the team for evaluation and coordinating the submission of returns ensuring high quality tenders are produced that meet the needs of funders and commissioners.  You will support function leads in monitoring fundraising outcomes and comparing to income generation targets, developing a database of funders and improving tender response processes to reduce the administrative burden of tender responses without compromising on quality.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing the tender return process in other organisations, either in a commercial or charitable sector environment. You will bring strong project management skills, be able to coordinate tender submissions to set deadlines and have an inquisitive mindset to enjoy researching opportunities and thinking creatively how Involve can meet funder requirements while also advancing our mission.

We work across the UK, with offices in Belfast and London. Many of our staff work from home across the UK or in a hybrid pattern, rather than being based at one of our offices, though we meet up regularly as a team. The Finance Officer together with the Treasurer and local finance coordinators will undertake tasks including:-

• Develop systems and enable finance tasks to be completed more effectively and efficient
• Manage Parish Finances using the software package ‘My Fund Accounting Online’ (training will be given) a web-based fund accounting software specifically designed for churches and charities

The Parish of Christ our Hope brings together 7 Church of England churches into a single larger parish.  We are developing our support structures to release church leaders to focus on local ministry and mission.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Trainer: Domestic Abuse, Gender-Based Violence, and Trauma Informed Working to deliver training to a variety of different audiences. You will be delivering training on an ad-hoc basis, in a range of settings including corporate clients, public sector workers, and other charities.

We are seeking trainers with both frontline and training experience, who can deliver this type of content in compassionate, articulate and accessible ways both in person and online. Rise for Change is dedicated to creating learning spaces that are safe for all folks, in content and delivery style. 

Rise for Change is the training arm of Hope After Harm and currently provides domestic abuse, sexual harassment, and trauma-informed working training programmes for non-specialist professionals, however, we are aiming to expand our training offer to cover other areas of gender-based violence. Uniquely created by our subject matter experts, our training directly addresses the need for intersectional, and trauma informed training on gender-based violence for professionals in all sectors. We actively promote self-reflection, critical thinking and survivor voice to affect sustainable, inclusive change for survivors. Our aim is to empower participants, no matter their professional role, to be able to respond safely and appropriately to survivors both within the workplace and in the wider scope of their lives.

This is what a Specialist Trainer will do:

• Deliver specialist training about domestic abuse, gender-based violence and trauma informed working to a range of clients, primarily online with some face-to-face sessions.
• Ensure that the way they work is aligned with the values of our team.
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the training will be delivered and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of clients, ensuring the service is accessible to all.
• Respect and uphold the value and necessity of intersectionality within domestic abuse and sexual violence prevention and safeguarding, across all areas of work.
• Treat all participants with respect and care, positively representing Rise for Change and Hope After Harm in every interaction.
• Encourage feedback from participants for each session delivered to support with the continued development of Rise for Change training programmes.
• Undertake any training and continued professional development required for the role.
• Uphold GDPR and confidentiality of any data and content whilst in this role.
• Complete any necessary admin, as required as part of the session delivery.

 

This is what you will bring as a Specialist Trainer:

• A strong knowledge of domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence, it’s impacts and working from a trauma-informed perspective.
• Experience as a highly skilled trainer, with the ability to engage people through both in person and remote delivery.
• Preferably, frontline experience of supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
• Understanding of supporting survivors in various settings (e.g. the workforce, as a manager, as a professional with a safeguarding role).
• An empathetic, caring approach to training- to you, learning is not just about providing information but ensuring a holistic approach to the learning environment.
• Skilled user of technology with high literacy of key presenting programmes, video platforms and databases.
• Have a good understanding of the nuances of culture, race, sexual orientation and gender identity within domestic abuse and sexual violence, and be committed to intersectional ways of working.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and safeguarding procedures.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Places the survivor at the centre of all that you do.

 

For this role you will need:

• To be free from any criminal conviction which would conflict with the responsibilities of the post; you may be required to have a DBS Enhanced disclosure.

About the role

Our moderators manage Facebook groups of up to 18,000 virtual challenge participants. You will be working with some of the biggest names in the sector, supporting them to raise five and six figure sums. 

This role is perfect for skilled fundraisers who can provide excellent supporter care, and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9am (or earlier), wrap up by 9pm and adhere to our sub-three hour response time. 

As a Fundraising Group Moderator, you would be responsible for:

About the Role

Key duties and responsibilities

• Provide court representation for clients, including emergency actions, by attending hearings at Liverpool Civil and Family Court.
• Prepare and present cases ready for court hearings by checking time limits, adherence to pre action protocols by creditors, completing relevant court forms and checking fees/remissions.
• Negotiate with and signpost/refer to third parties as appropriate.

About us

The Court Specialist (Housing) Debt Adviser is responsible for providing a quality court representation service for clients facing court proceedings for housing and personal debt, including mortgages, secured and unsecured loans, who are not eligible for housing legal aid.

The project joins a programme funded by the Access to Justice Foundation that aims to sustain and improve access to early social welfare and family legal support and advice, to enable people to resolve these problems as early as possible and avoid the need for court or tribunal proceedings where possible. Where court or tribunal proceedings are needed, the project will provide the support needed to help people navigate the process effectively, including where support to prepare for court and at court is required. The focus of this project will be to provide housing debt court/tribunal support and representation to increase homelessness prevention.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident, motivated and willing to try new things, have excellent communication skills with an ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and outcomes with minimum supervision. You will need to have knowledge and experience of complex debt casework, and (county) court money claim, and possession proceedings as well as priority and non-priority debt advice, options and insolvency solutions.

Clinical research is an essential element in ensuring new treatments are rapidly and safely translated to clinical use to transform the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. Nine years ago, the Trust set up an ambitious programme of work to broaden the reach of trials to all people with cystic fibrosis in the UK, the Clinical Trials Accelerator Platform (CTAP). CTAP is a national cystic fibrosis clinical trials network which has created the infrastructure (network of CTAP centres) and funded additional research capacity (trial coordinators) to support NHS Cystic Fibrosis centres to grow their clinical trial portfolio. This in turn has increased the number of clinical trial opportunities for the UK CF community, and improved access to the newest therapies for people living with cystic fibrosis. 
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Network Coordinator to join the CTAP coordinating team as maternity cover. The postholder will oversee the coordination of the four CTAP regional clinical trial networks which sit within the main CTAP programme. This role will play an important role in overseeing the smooth running of the CTAP regional networks in addition to providing support and guidance relating to the referral of patients for clinical trial participation. 
 
To be the right candidate, you will:
