Collections Development Manager

Library of the Religious Society of Friends

Salary: £48,715 per annum

Contract: Full Time; Fixed Term for two years

Hours:  35 hours per week; hours can be worked flexibly

Location: Based at Friends House, London (NW1); London-based staff may be able to work at home some of the time by agreement

We are seeking a Collections Development Manager in the Library of the Religious Society of Friends. You will manage the operation of the Library and be responsible for the ongoing acquisition and processing of printed and published material for the Library’s collections, in line with our Collections Development Policy. You will also work as part of a team to support the strategic review and development of our collections management.

This is an opportunity to use your experience and creativity to help shape the future development of our unique and important collections. You will be familiar with library and collections management and be able to manage the team and the day-to-day operation of the library. You will also contribute to strategic planning and the delivery of a development plan. You will be an effective communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
