Job description

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with complex needs and mental health challenges?

Oakdene delivers person-centred support, to empower clients and support them on their recovery journey.

We have a dedicated and passionate team, who deliver intensive support to clients living in the service. This role requires a proactive, and flexible approach. If you’re passionate about supporting individuals, with complex support needs and a range of mental health needs, then this is the role for you.

If you have an open mind and the drive to succeed, you will thrive at Oakdene, all you need to do is apply!

The role

As our Support Worker you’ll provide informal support and wellbeing checks for residents, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and maintain clean and safe communal areas. You’ll deliver detailed handovers to day staff, triage out-of-hours issues, and support clients using trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches. You’ll uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, administer basic first aid (training provided), and maintain accurate records in line with GDPR. You’ll also represent the organisation professionally and work confidently when lone working.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Good communication skills (clear) verbal and written English

  • Good keyboard skills for data inputting

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

  • Polite and assertive manner

  • Ability to self-motivate as you will work on your own

  • Collaborate well in a team

  • Ability to respond calmly in a crisis

  • Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues

This role requires night and weekend work, including lone working, and an Enhanced DBS with Barred List(s) check will be completed upon appointment.

We offer a monthly salary, a contributory pension scheme, 20 days annual leave (rising to 25), plus bank holidays, and business mileage paid at HMRC rates.

If you’re ready to make a difference, apply now and become part of a team that truly cares. We reserve the right to close the advert early if a successful candidate is found.

Two Saints is committed to safeguarding and safer recruitment.

We carry out pre-employment checks such as DBS checks, Overseas police checks (where appropriate), reference checks, and CV gap querying for all new staff members.
