What this role entails?
The Medical Sciences Divisional development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and across the Development and Alumni Engagement team at the University of Oxford.
This is a key role within the team and the post holder will have the opportunity to work with donors and academics. Development at Oxford is well established and this role has the scope to work across a number of important and high-profile projects related to the medical sciences.
The post holder will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gifts prospects. They will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential donors able to support projects in the Medical Sciences Division at Oxford, typically in the range of £100,000-£500,000 over time, alongside to supporting the fundraising activity of the Head of Development – Medical Sciences.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven fundraising experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts at the £50,000 level and above
- Ability to identify new donor prospects and engage with potential donors to successfully acquire new gifts
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fund-raising goals
- Ability to establish credibility, confidence and robust relationships with existing and prospective donors, and key stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in the medical sciences
- An interest in higher education and ideally an understanding of the University of Oxford, and its goals in teaching and research

What you will do

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant and Business Coordinator to provide high-level administrative, organisational and governance support to the Director of Membership, Media and Development (MMD) and the wider directorate.
This is a varied and impactful role at the heart of a busy, member‑focused organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders, board members, committees, and cross‑functional teams to support the delivery of key strategic objectives.

About You
You will bring proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Business Coordinator, with strong capability in supporting senior leaders and committees. You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with experience drafting formal correspondence and minutes. An understanding of GDPR, confidentiality and EDI principles is essential, along with strong MS Office skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Experience within a membership body or medical education environment is desirable, and you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience.

Interim Chief Executive
National Lived Experience Network (Gambling Harms)

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a national lived experience network working in the field of gambling-related harms to recruit an Interim Chief Executive.
The organisation is an independent voice raising awareness and offering support to people affected by gambling-related harms. The ambition is for the network to be able to make a difference to people’s lives, with a voice that can meaningfully participate in and influence national debate and policy.
The Interim Chief Executive will provide immediate strategic leadership, visible system presence and lead internal organisational development, including an increase in staff capacity.

To support this growth, we are seeking a Course Executive to deliver and support administration of our repeatable courses and workshops with operational excellence. This is a pivotal role, providing the opportunity to ensure every course runs smoothly, delegates and faculty are supported, and RCOG’s standards of quality and professionalism are upheld.
You will combine operational expertise with strong organisational and communication skills, overseeing the end-to-end administration and delivery of courses, coordinating faculty and delegates, and supporting new or redeveloped courses from pilot through to repeatable delivery. Working closely with the Head of Course Development and Delivery, internal teams, and external faculty, you will ensure courses are delivered efficiently, financially sustainable, and provide a seamless learning experience.
Collaborating with stakeholders, faculty, and colleagues, you will act as a key operational contact for all aspects of course delivery, driving consistency, quality, and engagement while supporting the College’s mission to improve healthcare for women and girls worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the end-to-end administration and logistics of repeatable courses and workshops, ensuring a smooth experience for delegates and faculty.
