Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building marketing projects from the ground up, crafting strategies through to implementation? Youth Advantage UK is looking for enthusiastic volunteers eager to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the creation, development, and execution of B2B, B2C, and B2G marketing strategies.
• Assist in building and adapting comprehensive marketing plans from scratch.
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to design and deploy targeted marketing materials.
• Conduct basic market research and assist in audience segmentation and competitive analysis.
• Contribute to defining value propositions and understanding donor engagement journeys.
• Help develop and distribute digital assets across email, social media, and other communication channels.

Essential Skills:

• Interest in strategic marketing planning, positioning, and stakeholder engagement.
• Basic understanding of content creation, digital marketing, or campaign coordination.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn about donor journeys, market targeting, and marketing analytics.
•  Familiarity with tools like Canva, PowerPoint, or Wix is a plus, but not essential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong desire to learn and contribute to real-world marketing strategy and execution.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to walk our Wellness Walk routes with our participants to be someone that walkers can chat to if they’ve arrived and walking alone, provide a morale boost and support.

As the UK’s leading diabetes charity, it’s our job to tackle the diabetes crisis. We’re here to prevent type 2 diabetes, campaign for and support everyone affected by diabetes, and fund research that will one day lead us to a cure.

Thousands of people from across the UK will take part in our fun and family-friendly, sponsored Wellness Walks. It’s a chance to get out outside, take a deep breath, seize the day and change the world for everyone affected by diabetes.

There are currently 3 Wellness Walks held across the UK. We ask our walkers to think about their wellbeing and make a few small changes to how they live their lives, so that they can begin to feel healthier.

The walks are between 8-10 miles and are fully accessible – so pushchairs and mobility scooters are welcome.

Route volunteers guide walkers accurately and keep enthusiasm high. You must be aged 16+ to volunteer for this role (16 - 17 year olds must with be with a parent or guardian aged 18+), Volunteers in these roles will be positioned at key points on the walk route and will:

• Ensure walkers are heading in the right direction
• Motivate and cheer people on as they walk past your position
• Hand out hypo snacks, plasters or report medical incidents
• Monitor and report back to the route manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Assist the Project Leader draft engaging text for promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, website content).
• Social Media Support: Help schedule and post content on relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook groups, local community pages).
• Community Outreach: Identify local community groups, centres, schools, and organisations that could benefit from our club, and assist with distributing promotional materials.
• Information Gathering: Research relevant online forums, notice boards, and events where we can promote the club.
• Feedback Collection: Assist in gathering testimonials or feedback from members (with appropriate consent) to use in promotional efforts.
• Administrative Support: Help organise and maintain marketing materials and contact lists.

Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST) have an exciting new opportunity to join their Board of Trustees. In a bold step toward broadening our vision and impact, FST recently updated our governing documents to welcome Non-Executive Directors from outside our membership. We are looking to recruit two Co-opted Board members over the coming months.   

Following a recent review of Board membership, we have identified the need for new Trustees and are looking for candidates with skills and experience in each of the following areas:  

• Financial – Strong financial background, ideally with expertise in charity and not-for-profit accounting and experience working with small charities 

• HR/Legal - Senior level experience in HR and/or the legal landscape surrounding employment with knowledge of of best practices in people management, organisational culture, and employment law—particularly within the charity or arts sector 

• Public Policy and Research - Senior experience in public policy and research, ideally within Scotland. For example, you may have worked on developing policy positions, conducting sector-specific research, or creating tools to influence change at a national or local level 

As well as the skills and experience aligned to one of the two candidate opportunities described above, we expect all Board members to embrace the following qualities :

Vegetarian for Life (VfL) is the only UK charity specifically dedicated to supporting older vegetarians and vegans. Our trustees work with the CEO of VfL and its operational team to ensure strong governance and help realise the strategic aims of this unique and growing charity. Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC) believes that recovery is a reality for those affected/harmed by problematic substance use. SRC supports, represents, and connects people and communities across Scotland by working with recovery in all its forms. We believe there are many pathways to recovery and collaborate with a range of partners across Scotland—from individuals and grassroots, lived-experience recovery communities to government, and from local and national partners to UK organisations. SRC operates across Scotland, offering a range of activities to support the creation, development, growth, and sustainability of recovery communities. We play a critical role in ensuring the voice of lived experience is heard at both local and national levels, and we use this approach to influence policy and practice. We amplify the voices of people and communities by campaigning, influencing, and evidencing the vital role and impact recovery has in reducing stigma, inequalities, and harm caused by problematic substance use.

Following a period of change and the current Trustees reaching the end of their tenure, the Board has recently conducted a strategic review of its governance arrangements. We are now seeking to appoint new Board Members, including a Treasurer, to help lead the Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC) into its next chapter.

Treasurer:

As Treasurer, you will provide support and advice in relation to board and financial matters, maintaining an overview of SRC’s financial health. You will ensure that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place and consistently followed. At each Board meeting, you will present reports on the charity’s financial performance and overall stability.

We are looking for a highly experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting, finance, or auditing. Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant with a deep understanding of financial management practices, particularly within the voluntary and community sectors. You will be confident in clearly presenting financial information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising the Board on financial strategy and risk.

Board Members:

As a Board Member of the Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organisation’s operations, ensuring its activities align with SRC’s vision and mission. Your responsibilities will include helping to shape a clear and effective strategy while offering support and constructive challenge to the executive team, enabling the organisation to grow, thrive, and fulfil its mission.

We are particularly seeking individuals who share a strong commitment to SRC’s vision and bring expertise in one or more of the following areas: academia, research, human resources, or fundraising/funding.

SRC particularly values the perspectives of individuals with lived experience of alcohol and/or drug recovery, including family members, as these insights can help inform and strengthen the organisation’s work.

While previous board experience is beneficial, it is essential that candidates demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to think creatively and strategically, and the capacity to exercise sound, independent judgement.

Time Commitment:

The SRC Board meets five times a year, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Board meetings are accessible either in person at their Glasgow office or online. However, attendance at the AGM is required in person.

Job Description - What you will be doing​

Our Hedgerow Heroes project is an ongoing project focused on planting and restoring hedgerows in green spaces across London. The goal of the project is to help reinforce and enhance London’s green belt, and use hedgerows and related engagement activities to help people in greenspace-deprived areas - which also have indicators of social deprivation, mental health issues and poor air quality - to connect with nature. All activities will be designed to be inclusive, allowing a wide range of people the opportunity to engage in hands-on conservation work and gain appreciation of the natural world in their local area. In summary: help us to introduce, restore and maintain hedgerows in London’s green belt, in cooperation with Friends-of groups and community-level volunteers. 

The role of the Hedgerow Heroes Coordinator will be to: 

• Help research new project opportunities (planting sites, partners etc)
• Work in a friendly team to help co-ordinate the planting / restoration of hedgerows all over London
• Administration and organisation of people and teams to meet planting session requirements 
• Work alongside more experienced volunteers to learn project management skills to help you in your future career
• As you continue to volunteer with CPRE you're free to find the perfect role that suits your needs - we have lots of volunteer work available in fundraising, campaigning, and project management.

We're organising a new support group in Hull and are looking for a group facilitator. Would you be interested in taking on this role?

The primary purpose of this flexible volunteering role is to support us as peer support group facilitators for support groups for those affected by brain tumours.

1. Hours: Variable – depending on individual circumstances and what people can do
2. Support Supervisor: Amy Gorse

We want to ensure that volunteering with us is not daunting, so the exact tasks might vary depending on your circumstances. However, some typical tasks may include: 

• Facilitating peer support group sessions

• Provide emotional support to attendees 

• Offer information on YBTC services

• Attending relevant training

• Maintain records of attendance and provide feedback to YBTC

• Liaise with the venue about group bookings 

We are looking for people who are: 

• Are compassionate and non-judgmental 

• Have personal or professional experience with brain tumours

• Confidence in facilitating group discussions

• Commitment to scheduled group sessions
