The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Manager - Trees for All to help manage the delivery of our new UK-wide Trees for All Programme which aims to tackle the inequitable access to trees and woods.

The Role: 
•    You’ll oversee the programme delivery ensuring we meet our goals and deadlines.
•    You’ll collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally such as staff, MP’s, civil servants, health professionals and more.
•    You’ll provide strategic leadership on tree equity, working with leads in devolved nations.
•    You’ll monitor and report on impact and outcomes of activities within the programme.
•    You’ll support teams to enhance the tree equity impact of existing programmes and develop projects and activities within the Trees for All programme plan.
•    You’ll act as subject matter expert on tree equity for internal and external stakeholders and projects including community engagement and research.
•    This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once a month on average.

Operations & People Support Officer

Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity’s operations. You will be the first point of contact for supporters and will deliver outstanding customer care and donor stewardship.

You will build strong working relationships with Charity colleagues, donors (existing and potential), volunteers and Trust staff. The role supports the fundraising teams, assists with the hospital and online shop, and plays a key part in coordinating and administering the Charity’s volunteering function. You will also provide vital People (HR) administration and process support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Fundraising & Office

• Undertake day-to-day administrative tasks as directed by the Operations & People Manager and Team Leader, including preparing letters, reports and memos to a high professional standard.

• Handle sensitive information appropriately, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

• Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful manner, directing calls correctly and taking accurate messages.

• Support the efficient running of the public Charity office by welcoming donors and visitors in a friendly and professional way.

This role provides proactive administrative support to the Bishop of Ripon. The Bishop's PA represents the Bishop's Office and is often the first point of contact.

The postholder will manage the Bishop's Office and ensure that work for the Bishop of Ripon is completed to a high standard. Much of the work is highly confidential, so the postholder must be able to deal with this discreetly and sensitively. The PA is a vital part of the local Ripon Area team but must be able to work independently and use initiative as necessary. Commitment to supporting the Bishop's ministry is essential, and a good understanding of the Christian Faith and Anglican worship is helpful.

Daily tasks will include prioritising mail and messages, organising the Bishop's diary, drafting replies and/or briefing papers as appropriate, producing communication and paperwork around the Bishop's appointments (including church visits and clergy meetings) promptly, attending and arranging events and meetings and in general ensuring that the Bishop is properly resourced and supported in his/her work. As well as overseeing the Ripon Episcopal Area, the Bishop has some diocesan responsibilities, which necessitate travel around the Diocese, and national responsibilities which include travel to London and elsewhere in the country. The planning of the Bishop's diary will reflect the travel involved.

The PA will have key working relationships with other senior staff in the Diocese and particularly those in the Ripon Area. The PA will work closely with the Archdeacon of Richmond and Craven and their PA. The postholder will also be in frequent contact with the Area and Assistant Area Deans and other Area Officers. As the Bishop is often out of the office, the post-holder should be a self-starter and capable of using their initiative with regard to planning and managing their workload.

There may be the possibility of some home-working - details to be discussed with the post holder.

Principal Duties

• Manage the Bishop's diary, appointments, travel and event logistics
• Plan the annual meeting cycle for various committees and individuals
• Manage the approval system for Lay Eucharistic Ministers, including the renewals every five years.
• Anticipate and act proactively on information that comes into the office (via email, phone or letter) particularly where this relates to diary and deadline matters.
• Ensure that appropriate matters are brought to the attention of the Bishop
• Arrange Confirmations, Licensings and other church services and handle related administration.
• Manage annual review appointments (MDRs) for clergy, ensuring that the necessary paperwork is issued and received within appropriate timeframes.

• Administer the clergy appointments process within the Ripon Area, working closely with the Archdeacon, the Archdeacon's PA, Patrons and parish representatives. Ensure that all legal requirements are met.
• Managing meetings for PTO applications.
• Prepare materials for meetings; to occasionally attend and take minutes.
• Oversee the Bishop's expenses and local budget, ensuring that accurate records are kept and returned to the Bishop of Leeds Financial Officer monthly.
• Organise and maintain general and confidential filing systems, including clergy files.
• Manage the Bishop's Office, including ordering stationery, dealing with phone systems, etc

• Represent the Bishop's Office with professionalism, discretion and pastoral sensitivity.

The Youth Employability Service

CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET and those who have been Electively Home Educated. The Team

The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and /or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills and Employability Adviser.

You will support a caseload of young people aged 16 to 18 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET with part of your caseload being Electively Home Educated Year 11 young people who may be at risk of becoming NEET. You will guide them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

Working across the West of the county, including Wealden, with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

This role also supports our Electively Home Educated Year 11’s with transition support to their Post 16 pathway.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, building trust and ensuring that casework is delivered with care and consistency. Your role will involve assessing needs, action planning, reviewing progress, and adapting support as required. You'll also act as a champion for relevant opportunities and resources—ensuring young people, parents/carers, providers, and wider stakeholders are aware of what’s available and how it can help.
