About the role 

As our Head of Product, you’ll: 

• Own and evolve the Medical Technology product portfolio, ensuring alignment with BHF’s Medical and Technology strategies. 
• Lead product strategy and execution across multiple disciplines, and product portfolio. 
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders in the Medical Directorate to shape and deliver products that support BHF’s mission and medical objectives. 
• Be responsible for prioritisation, customer value delivery, communication, scheduling, resourcing, and financial oversight across the portfolio.
• Operate as a key member of the Technology Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership under the guidance of the Director of Technology and Chief Technology Officer.

Working arrangements

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to develop and drive Iswe’s income generation strategy and grow a high-performing fundraising team.

This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident enough to lead the function with minimal oversight, but still eager to be hands-on. You will bring a good understanding of the climate, democracy, and systems change funding landscape, ideally along with existing funder relationships. You’ll be creative and entrepreneurial, with the ability to craft compelling cases for support, develop new income streams, and build the operational systems required to raise and manage funds effectively.

Your goal will be to secure £10 million over the next 3–5 years, and position Iswe for long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and deliver an ambitious fundraising strategy aligned with Iswe’s organisational goals, including project-specific income generation and unrestricted funding. 

• Identify and pursue diverse fundraising opportunities, with a focus on: 

  • Grant fundraising

  • Institutional partnerships

  • Innovative pooled funding mechanisms

  • Individual giving and public campaigns

  • High-net-worth individuals

• Write and oversee the development of high-quality grant proposals, donor reports, and communications.

• Coordinate funding strategies for individual projects, and support project teams to embed fundraising into their planning and delivery.

• Develop digital strategies and campaigns to support public fundraising and individual giving.

• Build systems to attract and steward high net worth individuals, including prospecting, relationship management, and donor communications.

• Explore and advance business revenue streams such as consultancy offers, corporate sponsorships, or platform-based services.

Team Leadership

• Line-manage a Senior Fundraising Officer, supporting their professional development and accountability.

• Recruit, onboard and manage future team members as needed (e.g. an Individual Giving Manager and High Net Worth Fundraising Lead).

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and bottom-up leadership within the fundraising team and across the organisation.

Person Specification

Essential

• Substantial fundraising experience (minimum 5+ years), with a proven track record of raising six to seven-figure income across grantmaking, institutional funders, or major donors.

• Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills — with the ability to own a multi-year fundraising roadmap and deliver results with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering fundraising strategies across multiple income streams (e.g. grants, high net worth individuals, public fundraising, or partnerships).

• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling funding proposals and reports.

• Working knowledge of individual giving strategies, including use of digital tools for donor acquisition and retention.

• Working knowledge of GDPR.

• Understanding of how to build systems and culture to support high net worth individual engagement and income generation.

• Experience speaking and writing knowledgeably about deliberative democracy and multilateralism.

Our experienced, specialist youth workers engage with and support young people, aiming to reduce serious youth violence. We often meet young people at a moment of change and work with them to find a positive way forward.

We provide long-term, holistic support. We consider every aspect of a young person’s life and build support around them.

Job Description

​​​​​​The Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will work with the young person in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Other tasks include: 

• Hold a caseload and work with young people in a range of settings, including in A&E and on the wards, in the community, in face-to-face and group contexts, and promote their personal, educational, health and social development through all interactions.
• Assist with the on-going development of the service model to ensure that clients gain the maximum benefit from Redthread’s interventions.
• Ensure information resources such as client forms, databases and contact files are kept fully up-to-date and secure, in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and our Confidentiality Policy and Consent Policy. Maintain high quality recording of interventions with young people on our database, Threads, in line with Redthread’s best-practice requirements. (Training will be provided.)
• Collect and record evidence of project outcomes and young people’s achievements, to ensure the completion of monitoring forms and project progress reports as required.
• Maintain a good level of knowledge of the issues around youth violence and Child Exploitation.
• With guidance and support from the Team Leader, develop skills to further your work with the young people.
• Under the direction of the Team Leader, develop an imaginative programme of events, activities and other interventions which support Catch22’s mission.

The accommodation needs of the women you support will require you to advocate and support for each woman efficiently and empathically, whilst liaising with providers and stakeholders to ensure her accommodation needs are met. The role is dynamic and requires the post holder to respond to women with effective crisis intervention, advocacy and support. They will be required to coordinate the provision of multiagency support which focuses on working with clients to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness. The post holder will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.

The Floating Support Worker will ensure that the women survivors views and needs inform every stage of the process, and so the post holder will be empathic, empowering and able to advocate for women. You will also share your learning with your team, Advance and other stakeholders to ensure best practice is consistently achieved.

Working as part of a team of Floating Support Workers, you will make proactive contact and provide high quality non-judgemental advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment. You will be responsible for a number of women at a time and you will be their designated and consistent support worker. You will also support women and referrers at the first stage of referral by completing assessments and providing crisis intervention support as part of a ‘duty’ team with designated days for you to do this.

The Floating Support Worker will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse and the housing sectors. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information appropriately.

Experience of supporting female survivors of domestic violence with housing and accommodation needs, in partnership with other organisations, and of safeguarding procedures is essential for this post.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Create effective working partnerships with housing service providers and the local council to promote the Floating Support Worker Service

· Provide information, guidance and support to referral stakeholders to enable them to identify women at risk of and experiencing domestic violence, enabling them to confidently respond and refer women to the service. This may include delivery of briefings and information sessions to upskill housing workers. To continuously build awareness of the service and confidence of stakeholders in order to ensure women in need are identified and supported

· Effectively support a number of women at any one time, undertaking case management activities such as excellent assessments, action planning, referrals, and record keeping

· Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for women experiencing domestic violence, carry out short- and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support; and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs, including attendance at specialist/dedicated courts and MARAC as required

· Develop and deliver support plans that include delivery of high-quality face to face or telephone crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support, in respect to criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, children’s legislation and other appropriate interventions. Ensure that focus on safe tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention underpins all work

· Advise women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, making referrals and co-ordinating the provision of multi-agency support where necessary, and proactively advocate ensuring barriers to accessing support and protection are minimised

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have, ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed directly with the woman, and take appropriate action to safeguard them

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of women at risk proactively following Adult at Risk policies and procedures

· Participate in multi-agency conferences in respect of children and adults at risk as required, providing reports and undertaking actions as necessary

· Ensure all monitoring and evaluation for each woman, all cases and the project overall is accurate and up to date. Work in partnership with your team and the Advance Insights and Evidence team to ensure all reporting requirements are met. Highlight issues and successes in a timely manner

· Ensure that agreed case recording and monitoring systems are kept up to date and secure, and write internal and external reports where required, including for safeguarding conferences, team meetings, managers and other appropriate partners and stakeholders

· Participate in multi-agency working and focus groups when requested to do so and follow through on agreed appropriate actions that arise from these

· Work effectively as a member of your own team and as a team member of Advance supporting all organisational objectives

· Work in partnership with housing staff and provide institutional advocacy to maximise positive outcomes and use the appropriate reporting mechanisms to highlight persistent or recurring issues that arise

· Be responsible for your own personal learning development and keep up to date on research, relevant legislation, policy and practice, and other literature relevant to the role

· Participate in supervision, training and meetings as required, and assist in the development of services in line with agreed development plans

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. • Proposal Development & Submission: Leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, persuasive grant applications. This involves crafting compelling narratives from the heart, developing robust budgets factoring in overheads, and ensuring timely submission.   

• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both our existing and prospective funders. This means regular, personalised communication, sharing impactful updates and acting as a Scotty’s ambassador at funder events and meetings.  

• Grant Management & Reporting: Meticulously managing all stages of awarded grants, including careful financial tracking (using Salesforce), ensuring we always adhere to grant agreements, and compiling comprehensive, insightful end-of-project reports that truly demonstrate our impact and foster continued support.

• Onboarding & Immersion: Dive deep and achieve a comprehensive understanding of Scotty’s operating system (The Scotty’s OS), our values, our behaviours, our mission, and the significant impact we have. This will happen through intro meetings with everyone on the team and a tailored onboarding program.  

• Grant Portfolio Audit & Handover: Conduct an audit of our existing grant portfolio, reviewing active grants, reporting schedules, and our funder relationships. We'll begin the handover process for existing relationships with the Head of Fundraising, ensuring a smooth transition.  

• Funder Engagement & Feedback: Reach out and initiate contact with at least 5 key existing funders. This is about listening, gathering their valuable feedback, understanding their priorities, and beginning to build those personal, trusting rapports.  

• Pipeline Initiation: Identify and qualify a minimum of 5 new potential grant-making organisations. We'll prioritise those who truly align with Scotty's mission and have the capacity for significant, multi-year funding – our future partners.  

6-Month Goals:  

• Income Target Ownership: Take full, enthusiastic ownership of ensuring we are on track to hit our existing grant budget lines. You'll provide regular and accurate forecasting, keeping us all informed and confident.  

• Relationship Deepening: Strengthen relationships with at least 5 key funders, leading to demonstrable progress towards increased or renewed multi-year support.  

• New Grant Acquisition: Secure at least 2 new grants of significant value (e.g. £10k+) from previously untapped funders, showcasing your success in converting those pipeline opportunities into real impact.  

• Strategic Grant Mapping: Develop a comprehensive grant funding strategy, outlining key target areas, funder tiers, and a detailed timeline for our major applications for the next 12-18 months.

Communication and collaboration between our frontline practitioners, policy and engagement staff and the women in our Lived Experience Team means we are able to identify and monitor issues and themes and draw on learning in order to feed them into conversations with senior stakeholders across maternity, criminal justice, social services and immigration. In this way we ensure our policy and influencing work is rooted in the day-to-day experiences of women and what will make most difference to them and their babies. 

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will manage and develop all aspects of Birth Companions’ criminal justice-based services and line-manage the criminal justice services Coordinators, (currently three staff members but this likely to increase as we expand our services).

They will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with other relevant agencies and ensure the successful delivery of services through internal monitoring and evaluation, external evaluation and the charity’s governance structures.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of new prison and wider criminal justice system-based services through stakeholder engagement and service design where opportunities are identified.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will also contribute to the policy, engagement and strategic work of the organisation where appropriate.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Policy, Campaigns & Research, the Policy Manager will drive our engagement with government, policymakers, and stakeholders by crafting evidence-based positions that reflect the needs of the YMCA movement and the young people we serve.

You will be responsible for monitoring emerging policy developments, preparing responses to government announcements, and producing high-quality briefings and reports for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with local YMCAs to ensure our positions are grounded in lived experience and reflect the realities faced by communities across England and Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape public discourse, build influential relationships, and help us champion the issues that matter most – from youth homelessness and mental health to employment and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of YMCA’s public policy positions using robust research and insights.
• Monitor, analyse, and respond to government announcements, select committee work, and policy shifts.
• Produce briefings and reports for the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and senior leaders.
• Develop strong relationships with government departments, civil servants, and coalition partners.
• Collaborate with local YMCAs to ensure grassroots experiences inform national policy.
• Amplify the voice of young people in all areas of policy development.
• Support and work closely with colleagues across the Policy, Communications & International (PCI) team.

About You

You are a confident communicator with a deep understanding of the UK policy landscape and experience influencing public policy at a senior level. You bring strategic insight, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, impactful messages.

You’ll have:

• Proven experience in a policy role, ideally in the charity or public sector.
• Strong political awareness and understanding of policy-making processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing briefings and reports for senior audiences.
• The ability to build collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
• A passion for social justice and a commitment to YMCA’s mission and values.
