Richmond AID has successfully delivered the BuddyUp project in Richmond and Kingston for more than 10 years. We have established referral routes into the project and good links for attracting volunteers. This role is to work supporting young people in the borough of Kingston and you will work closely with our Richmond BuddyUp Coordinator.

BuddyUp Coordinator is a fun and exciting role at Richmond AID which requires someone who is motivated, creative and can work from their own initiative. The Buddy Up Coordinator will match disabled young people aged 14 to 17 to a volunteer buddy who will support them to access services and leisure opportunities. This post will be based in our offices in Teddington and will predominantly cover the borough of Richmond though at times you may also provide support in the borough of Kingston.

Your role is to recruit and train the volunteers, and then match them with a young person, providing ongoing support to young people and volunteers. You will work closely with our Kingston Buddy Coordinator running joint monthly group activities. So far trips have included bowling, cinema, crazy golf, shopping, days out in London, laser tag, boat trips, etc.

About you

You will be organised, and ideally have experience of running a project and experience of working with disabled people and/or young people. Training can be provided. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The National Saturday Club, founded by Sir John and Lady Sorrell through The Sorrell Foundation in 2009, plays a crucial and distinctive role in the educational landscape for young people aged 13-16. Fundraising Events Officer

Purpose

This is an exciting and vital role supporting the delivery of the events programme within a leading mental health charity.

We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people wanting to raise money to make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and community fundraisers. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.

As Fundraising Events Officer, your role is to support the Fundraising Events Manager to plan, deliver and review an exciting calendar of Charlie Waller fundraising events, supporting a wide range of third-party challenge events and community led activities.

Key responsibilities and duties

The Fundraising Events Officer will support the overall delivery of our varied events programme, bringing their enthusiasm to a calendar of events that aim to raise significant income for the charity, whilst also raising the charities profile and reach. They will play a key role in the delivery of well-loved annual events and support our growing network of event participants. Including but not limited to:

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Fundraising Events Manager, Head of Fundraising and fundraising committees.
• The opportunity to take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events, managing the expenditure budget and meeting income targets.
• Maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Support the fundraising committees with their activities, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
• Support the promotion of our fundraising events, writing copy, building emails and supporting social activity.
• Support the development of our event marketing collateral, to support participants fundraising efforts.
• Build relationships with third-party event organisers.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.
• Represent The Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.
• Monitor online fundraising, through supporting those raising funds, to creating and maintaining clear income and communication records.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with existing supporters, fundraisers and community groups and engage new audiences. Including recognising and supporting their fundraising efforts and thanking them appropriately.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individuals raising money for us.
• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers, funders, other statutory and voluntary organisations who work in the mental health field, and members of the public.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with first class communication skills to join the CSP team in Scotland and support them in promoting the profession and empowering members.

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. ShelterBox is recruiting for an Insight and Reporting Officer to join our Insight team. The role will work closely with our Insight Manager, guiding and supporting our Fundraising and Communications colleagues to design, track and evaluate activities, embedding insight at each step of the way.

Our Insight team sits within our Fundraising Operations function, and together we ensure we are providing excellent, audience-driven supporter experiences, and making our data and systems work effectively across fundraising and communications activity. Over the last four years, we have seen uninterrupted growth, reaching a record-breaking global income of £26 million in 2023. This has enabled us to provide shelter and support to more people than ever before.  

This post will help to embed an insight-led, supporter-driven and evidence-based approach to communications with both potential and existing supporters. By using insight to deliver exceptional supporter experience, we will drive engagement and lifetime value of supporters. The post holder will support our Fundraising and Communications teams, from selecting and segmenting the right audiences through to reporting and evaluating our results.

It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we embark on an organisation wide Business Systems Transformation Project, that will see us onboard a new CRM in conjunction with new finance, project and HR systems. The Insight and Reporting Officer will play an important role in the next step on our journey and will have the opportunity to help shape.

Who are we looking for?  

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience of statistical analysis, data interpretation, and reporting. We are seeking a strong communicator, who can work across teams and levels, explaining complex information in a clear and understandable way.  

The successful candidate will have a passion for data and insight combined with an understanding of campaign analysis and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as attrition and LTV. In addition, they should be confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a broad set of objectives associated with fundraising and communications.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Providing end-to-end support with Fundraising and Communications activities, supporting teams in the design, selection, review, and reporting.
• Tracking activity results, looking for insight and ensuring that learnings are fed into future activities.
• Preparing evaluation reports for fundraising activities, drawing on statistical analysis and with particular emphasis on performance of segments and identifying areas for growth and innovation.
• Working closely with our IT reporting team to maintain existing reporting dashboards in PowerBI and design new data visualisations, reporting tools and metrics.
• Supporting the production of regular reports on KPIs for a wide audience, including our trustees.
• Developing an understanding of our supporter universe – who are our supporters, how do they engage with us, why do they support us and how can we provide the best supporter experience for them?
• Supporting the team to develop and implement supporter satisfaction measures and increase opportunities to capture insight from supporter conversations.
• Working closely with teams across Fundraising and Communications to consolidate learnings and insight from campaigns and activities to ensure continual development of programmes and testing strategies.
• Maintaining and expanding our Insight and Evaluation Library, documenting learnings and decisions for future use.
• Support the Insight Manager to champion and embed the use of insight within ShelterBox ensuring that everyone understands how to develop, use, and apply it. 
• Ensure adherence to ShelterBox procedures and policies including those relating to data protection, safeguarding, safety, and security. 
• Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.

Exeter-based cancer charity, Force, is well known and much loved for its incredible work supporting people who have had a cancer diagnosis and their families with a range of support.  Their longstanding CEO is now retiring and the search has begun to find that special person to lead the charity into the future.  We are delighted and honoured to be supporting the Board with this important appointment.

The current CEO has worked hard to ensure that the nurturing and caring aspect of the charity’s work is reflected across the organisation.  You can see this in the way that everyone is treated – clients, families, staff, volunteers, supporters and trustees.  We are looking for someone who understands and upholds these values but equally has the resilience and clarity of thought to navigate through the complex landscape of cancer services and support.  You will have held a senior leadership role within the voluntary sector for at least two years and understand the legal framework within which charities operate.  Previous experience of working with a voluntary Board of trustee/directors will be hugely helpful and, naturally, you will be financially astute. 

Of course, you will be an inspiring and confident communicator, able to engage with and present to a range of audiences as well as working with local media.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, provide leadership of the charity (which is also a company limited by guarantee) by directing and structuring the work of the wider staff and volunteer team. Manage a broad range of business needs and resources, including income generation, finances, staffing and contract/grant funding compliance, thereby ensuring sustainability through effective governance, sound finances and delivery of high-quality services in accordance with DWC’s vision, mission, values and strategic plans.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Overall Management

· Together with the Trustees/Directors, develop and agree the strategic plan, operational plan, vision, mission and values.

· Lead the organisation and ensure it meets its legal and social obligations and the challenges of financial sustainability.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including the Charity Commission, Companies House, and Health and Safety Executive, as well as with quality standards and with contract/grant monitoring requirements.

· Identify and implement new business opportunities in line with the charitable aims outlined in the Articles of Association.

Governance

· Work with the Board to ensure effective governance is provided through Trustees/Directors with an understanding of DWC’s purpose and a mixture of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

· Ensure the Trustees have sufficient resources, guidance and professional advice.

· Ensure the preparation of meeting agendas, supporting papers and minutes, and that agreed actions are progressed.

· Oversee arrangements for the Annual General Meeting, including the production of the annual trustees report and accounts.

Staff and Volunteer Management

· Manage, motivate and lead the staff and volunteer team.

· Line manage service managers/lead personnel, ensuring they are well supported and that agreed objectives are achieved.

· Act as the primary contact in respect of HR matters, managing recruitment and exit arrangements, and liaise with employment law and payroll providers as necessary to ensure DWC fulfils its statutory responsibilities as an employer.

· As a disabled people’s organisation provide opportunities for disabled people to contribute at all levels within the Board and workforce, through volunteering, training and employment.

Finance

· Manage and monitor the overall budget, income and expenditure.

· Authorise expenditure in accordance with the Financial Management policy and delegated powers.

· Ensure services are delivered within available resources, including sufficient income.

· Take a lead role in maximising income, through researching, initiating and developing the preparation of appropriate funding bids and fundraising activities.

Representation and Stakeholder Management

· Represent DWC and the interests of disabled people within local and national networks and forums.

· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners and staff within partner organisations.

· Develop staff and volunteer colleagues to act as ambassadors for DWC.

· Ensure arrangements are in place for awareness of the DWC brand and the impact of the organisation’s work.

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Kent and Sussex region.

You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the Kent and Sussex region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.

· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.

· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, following fundraising legislation and good practice.

· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.

· Support the Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) and Head of Regional Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Community Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.

· Support and extend volunteer networks within the geographical area in line with strategy.

· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed locally to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across the geographical area.

· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload cost-effectively and proactively.

Supporter Management

· Provide excellent customer service to community fundraising supporters (including maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.

· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.

· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.

· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.

· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, provide high-quality account management to corporate supporters within the specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.

Increasing Community Support within geographical area

· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within the geographical area, in line with strategy.

· Run volunteer events with both a recruitment and cultivation function, liaising closely with the Stewardship and Events team to ensure a seamless supporter journey, and with the Press team to include media volunteers.

· Manage the recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in the geographical area, providing relevant support and training.

· Liaise with local community organisations (e.g., golf clubs, educational institutions etc.) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with the strategy.

· Initiate and roll out community fundraising events in the geographical area with evidence of effective ROI and achievement of strategic goals.

· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.

· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community (for example, for cheque collections and talks), spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.

· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with CFM.

· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with CFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with both community and corporate strategies.

· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.

Monitoring and Reporting

· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Community Fundraising Manager.

· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.

What we are looking for:

· Experience in partnership fundraising and/or relationship-building.

· Experience in public speaking, such as giving presentations and talking at events.

· Knowledge of recruiting key volunteers and fundraising supporters.

· Experience and a keen interest in building long-term relationships with supporters.

· Proven ability to provide excellent stewardship.

· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Full driver’s license with access to own vehicle. 

· Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and willingness to travel independently.

· Live within Kent and Sussex region.

Ways of working: As part of our Remote ways of working you will be home based. You will only need to attend the office for specific requirements of the role and the business needs.

Roles that are classed as part of the Remote ways of working are able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £31,000 per annum, plus benefits, plus car allowance and associated expenses (if applicable).
