The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is seeking to engage an experienced Learning and Engagement Consultant to support their project Preserving Jewish Heritage, Promoting the Hidden Jewish Story in the year-long Development Phase of its project and for the first six months (of a five-year programme) of the Delivery Phase of the project. The Consultant will support and advise the Synagogues in this first pilot on activities/outreach and education, ultimately creating a framework for future use as a core part of this programme. The role will report to the Project Development Officer.  The Project Development Officer is currently being recruited and will be responsible for the set up and day to day running of the project.

The Foundation’s work to date has demonstrated a significant gap in provision for historic synagogues. There is a clear need for a more defined and comprehensive support function for the UK synagogues sector: one that offers a professional, accessible and user-friendly service; guides and empowers synagogue communities; helps ensure synagogue buildings are well maintained, resilient and future-proofed, including in response to the climate emergency; and supports synagogues to engage more effectively with wider society. This project aims to address that gap.

The Delivery Phase project is subject to a successful funding application to NLHF and there will be a break clause between the Development and Delivery Phases.

About the role:

Working closely with the small team at SIDA this post will promote the work of SIDA through the provision of high-quality digital communication to our members, external stakeholders and the general public, and provide logistical, digital and administrative support for a range of member events including our annual conferences.

The Communications and Events Coordinator will develop engaging content for use across SIDA’s digital platforms, including the Member Hub, and be proactive in finding new ways to share messages and reach a wider audience. The postholder is responsible for putting together, disseminating and promoting regular email newsletters.

The post will contribute to a variety of projects and initiatives, and a willingness to collaborate and work closely and flexibly with colleagues is essential.

Responsibilities

· Support the implementation of SIDA’s communications strategy

· Build digital assets to raise awareness of SIDA’s activities and services; engage the public; and promote the work of members

· Gather content, write copy, and produce engaging regular email newsletters about SIDA and the sector

· Manage and develop initiatives to grow SIDA’s Member Hub

· Maintain and deliver a social media schedule and seek opportunities to reach new audiences

Skills, knowledge, experience

· Excellent written communication skills and experience in producing content relevant for websites, social media, publications and leaflets across a range of audiences

Role Overview

About the role 

We’re looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for using sport to help children and young people across South Wales to explore and respond to the good news of Jesus. 

This unique role combines the benefits of direct face-to-face engagement with young people in a local context, delivering mission through sport activities and programmes, while also developing and mentoring others to expand ministry across South Wales. The ideal candidate will have equal passion and experience in both contexts. 

Location: Home based with travel across South Wales.

You’ll maintain weekly connections with the SU Sports Mission team as well as contributing to the wider work of the SU Wales team.

About Scripture Union  

You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. As our name describes, the radical power of God's word has always been central to our approach.

We still do all the great stuff with resources and holidays, but in the last few years, we have sharpened our vision with a renewed focus to help the 95% of young people (primary and secondary school age) across the UK who have never stepped foot inside a church, to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. We do this through equipping and resourcing the local church, training up volunteers from local churches (we call them ‘Faith Guides’) and collaborating with local and national partners across the UK to connect with children and young people and support them on a journey of exploring faith in a way that is relevant and meaningful.

In the last few years we’ve developed a brand new approach to how we do this, it’s deceptively simple and incredibly effective, we call it Revealing Jesus, and its making a massive difference, in the last couple of years we’ve trained up nearly 600 faith guides across 400+ churches all over the UK, collectively we’re seeing over 50,000 young people across the UK on a journey of exploring the Christian faith and responding to an invitation to become followers of Jesus. We have 24 staff organised into four regional mission teams, and alongside our local and national partners, we’re playing our part in a network of organisations that seeks to reach children and young people in every context, across every town and city across the whole of the UK. Since 2015, SU has had a dedicated Mission Through Sport team which contributes directly towards this outreach to the 95. We have recently developed some innovative new resources, aligned with the RJ framework, which the post holder will be involved in both delivering and equipping others to utilise. These include our flagship programme called Holy Ground which empowers churches to adopt a local sports space in their community to connect with the 95 in their context. Half Time is our brand new Explore-Respond resource which uses sports-themed videos and fun games to help the 95 to explore the life of Jesus by journeying through Mark’s Gospel. 

About your team

With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the Wales team with a national focus. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across Wales. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners.

Who We Are 

The CO Research Trust (formerly known as the Gas Safety Trust) is the leading carbon monoxide (CO) research charity, established in 2005. 

Our vision is a world where people are not exposed to CO. We fight CO poisoning in all settings through funding ground-breaking scientific research. 

We have a small, friendly team who work to deliver the goals of the Trust and work closely with the board of Trustees. 

The Role  

The CO Research Trust is seeking an organised and proactive Stakeholder Manager to help coordinate engagement across our growing network of partners, researchers and organisations working to improve carbon monoxide safety. 

This role will act as the main point of contact for our stakeholder community, helping to organise meetings, maintain relationships, and ensure insights from across the sector are captured and shared. 

This is a part-time, term-time only role (39 weeks per year), making it particularly suitable for someone returning to the workplace or looking for a role that fits around childcare or other commitments. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Act as the main point of contact for members of our stakeholder groups 

• Coordinate and organise stakeholder meetings, including agendas, papers and presentations 

• Prepare meeting minutes and maintain action logs, ensuring follow-up on agreed actions 

• Prepare briefings and responses to parliamentary consultations 

• Maintain stakeholder contact lists and communication channels 

• Share insights and feedback from meetings with partners 

• Support the annual stakeholder satisfaction survey and contribute to the Trust’s impact reporting 

About You 

We are looking for someone who is: 

• Highly organised and able to coordinate multiple meetings and stakeholders 

• A confident communicator with strong written skills 

• Comfortable working with a range of organisations and professionals 

• Proactive, reliable and able to follow through on actions 

Experience in stakeholder engagement, administration, project coordination or working in a charity, research or policy environment would be beneficial.

About The Music Works

The Music Works is a Gloucestershire charity that transforms young lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life. We work with over 3,000 young people a year in schools and our four community studios in Gloucester, and the Forest of Dean. Our approach is youth-led, with young people involved at every stage of planning and delivery.

About the role

Despite holding significant commercially viable assets, The Music Works currently generates a very small proportion of its income through traded commercial activity. For the purposes of this engagement, commercial income means earned income from trading only, covering areas such as facility and Music Bus hire, training and consultancy, and similar fee-based services. 

We are looking for someone to do the essential scoping work, to rigorously assess what we have, what the market will bear, and what a realistic commercial development strategy looks like for an organisation of our size, mission and sector context. The output will directly inform our longer-term commercial development activity and provide the foundation for a potential future employed commercial role. 

We are asking someone with deep commercial development expertise to help us understand what is genuinely viable, set out a clear strategic plan, and leave us with the tools and confidence to execute it. 

The engagement will be considered successful when the final report gives the Board and Leadership Team sufficient evidence and clarity to decide which income streams to invest in, at what pace, and whether and when to create an employed commercial role to lead that work.
