About the Team
You will join a small, collaborative fundraising team comprising a Trusts and Foundations Manager, a Community Fundraising Coordinator, a National Activity Events Coordinator and a Fundraising Administrator. The Head of Fundraising leads on corporate partnerships, major donors and fundraising strategy. Each team member works with a degree of autonomy whilst contributing to shared income goals and a collective approach to supporter care.
Role Purpose
To steward and grow relationships with our individual supporters across every stage of their journey with HDA - ensuring that however someone first connects with us, they feel known, valued and inspired to stay with us for life. This role leads on legacy and in memory fundraising, two areas of significant strategic importance to us, whilst sustaining and developing our wider base of individual donors through appeals, regular giving and digital communications. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising and communications, you will help ensure that every supporter feels genuinely connected to our cause and to the community of people whose lives are shaped by Huntington's disease. As Near You Coordinator Powys for our Community Services Team, you will focus and lead on co-ordinating our volunteer delivered RNID Near You service in Powys. This service operates across the county of Powys, in partnership with Powys Teaching Health Board to ensure that deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus receive the support and information needed to lead quality lives.
You will focus and lead on developing and delivering the community service across your designated area through drop-in sessions offering:
· Practical hearing aid support
· Information on hearing loss and tinnitus
· Hearing checks
You will be responsible for
· Co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in sessions and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of the chosen area to seek new opportunities for delivery of the RNID Near-You services.
· Co-ordinating the promotion of the service and raise awareness of the service e.g., through giving presentations to groups and organisations.
· Developing the service to utilise RNID online resources and digital tools and support volunteers to use these tools.
· Liaising with other local service providers to respond to the needs of deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus; and develop links with other organisations and agencies working with them.
You will be a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to all venues where we will provide drop-in sessions in community settings.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required.
You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs. You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Buckinghamshire Service for you to join a dynamic team committed to supporting children and young people who have been affected by someone else’s drug and/or alcohol use. The role of a Children and family Worker will support children and young people under the age of 18 on a one-to-one basis in a confidential space. The role will deliver a wide range of interventions/ education though activities, such as games, arts and crafts and emotional wellbeing resources. The role will utilise a young person-centred approach, empowering them to explore situations which they feel they have little control over to support them to lead a safe, happy, and healthy life.
The role will work in partnership and liaise with other young people services throughout Buckinghamshire, to provide holistic support to young people accessing the service. We need to record information about what we do, so enjoying a bit of admin work and attention to detail is important, but most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with young people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. You will be required to work flexibly across operational sites as required so must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. Don’t worry, there is a wide array of training and development opportunities to help support you in your work.

Hours: 37.5 per week
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
