Audit Project Coordinator (Epilepsy12)

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised, analytical and collaborative Audit Project Coordinator to support the delivery of Epilepsy12, our national clinical audit focused on improving care for children and young people with epilepsy and their families.
Reporting to the Epilepsy12 Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of this important national audit. You will work closely with paediatric services across NHS Health Boards and Trusts, supporting high-quality data collection, responding to participant queries and helping services understand and use audit findings to drive quality improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a health or research environment who enjoys working with data, coordinating projects and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of audit systems, communications and publications, helping to ensure Epilepsy12 has maximum impact on clinical practice and outcomes for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the collection of high-quality audit data and supporting NHS services with data submission and participation
• Acting as a key point of contact for audit participants and stakeholders, responding to queries about methodology, data submission, findings and quality improvement
• Monitoring audit participation and data quality and supporting improvements to engagement and data submission processes
• Coordinating sub-projects and spotlight audits with audit networks and external stakeholders
• Supporting the development, testing and ongoing improvement of Epilepsy12 data processing and reporting systems, including liaison with software developers
• Preparing and maintaining audit guidance, website content, newsletters, lay reports and promotional materials
• Supporting quality assurance of audit analysis and ensuring information governance, confidentiality and data disclosure requirements are met
• Preparing and disseminating audit findings and publications for a range of audiences, including NHS services, commissioners, funders, children, young people and families
• Coordinating governance meetings, stakeholder events, conferences and webinars, including agendas, papers, logistics and action tracking
Essential skills and experience include:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a mathematical or numerate discipline
• Experience of producing high-quality reports and promotional information for a range of audiences

About the Role

You will develop and implement a media and communications strategy, build our media profile, oversee digital channels, and act as guardian of our brand. Training

Working Hours
Our children and young people need support around the clock so our homes run 24/7 and we operate on fixed rotas with a variety of shift patterns.
As a Trainee Practitioner, you’ll work day shifts between 8am and 10pm, with 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts available. You’ll usually work an average of 40 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.
For example, if you work four 10-hour shifts, you’ll then have three days off. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half, including bank holidays.

Kingston Street Pastors is a churches initiative which has been operating since 2006 deploying Christian volunteers in the town centre in the night time to Care, Listen and Help. We enjoy excellent relationships with key stakeholders in Kingston’s night time economy including our local council, police and businesses. Within the wider Street Pastors movement we have made significant contributions over the years to develop policy and practice and have worked closely with neighbouring Street Pastors initiatives and with the Ascension Trust. For governance purposes Kingston Street Pastors operates as an affiliated project of Oxygen, a Kingston based youth work charity.
Our key strategic priorities are to maintain and build on the positive relationships we have with our local council, the police and businesses in the night time economy, taking advantage of opportunities for collaboration, accessing funding and other forms of support. We are perennially focused on the recruitment of new volunteers to serve as Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors to sustain and grow our capacity to deploy teams to the streets.
About the Role
This role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a practicing Christian (as outlined by 2010 Equality Act, Section 9)
Our new Coordinator will work closely with the Street Pastors Deputy Coordinator, leading the regular operations of Kingston Street Pastors and the deployment of teams while also overseeing the strategic development of the initiative in response to emerging needs and opportunities.

The Programme Officer will lead our work across the South West and support our managers to grow and deepen engagement with Living Wage Employers through our associated schemes. The Council for At-Risk Academics is a UK-registered charity founded in 1933 under the leadership of William Beveridge, to assist academics suffering persecution under the rise of Nazism and facilitate their continued work in safety. Sixteen Cara Fellows from the 1930s and 1940s became Nobel Laureates, and many more innovators in their fields, including, Nikolaus Pevsner, Lise Meitner and Karl Popper.
Cara has been a lifeline to academics at risk for over 90 years enabling them to continue their teaching and research in safety, as and when world events have placed them in the line of fire: Hungarian Uprising, Cold War, Apartheid South Africa, Iran, Latin American Juntas, Vietnam, Kosovo, DRC, Rwanda, Sudan, Zimbabwe etc. and, more recently Iraq, Turkey, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Today, our Fellowship Programme convenes a network of 135 UK universities in the UK to secure research placements for at-risk academics and support for their families, continuing a longstanding commitment of protecting academics and preserving their knowledge and expertise.

Role & Responsibilities

About the Role
As a Support Worker in a Children’s Home, you will provide direct support and care for our young people, who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged between12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our those in our care are safe, providing support, liaison with other external professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

Recruitment Process
At St Christopher’s we are committed to the safeguarding of all children and young people in our care. During the recruitment process you will be expected to complete an online application form to ensure we capture essential information to meet legislation, best practice and vetting requirements.

Interview:Shortlisted candidates attend a face-to-face interview at our Putney office.
Second Stage:Successful candidates will visit the home they applied to.
We advise applying as soon as possible as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Important note:
This post has a minimum age restriction of 21 year for roles working directly with children and young people in our residential and supported accommodation Homes in line with the Equality Act ‘occupational requirement’.
It is illegal to applyfor any role that involves working with children and young people under the age of 18, if you know you are barred from working with children.
All shortlisted candidates invited to interview will be asked to submit aSelf-Declaration and Disclosureform which will need to be returned prior to an interview being booked.
It is a requirement that practitioners working in Children Homes are qualified with the Diploma 3 in residential childcare within 2 years of starting in the job role. (Children Home Regulations England 2015). St Christopher’s provide access and funding to undertake this qualification. Applicants who have Citizenship or Visa status restrictions that may preclude them from being able to meet the qualification requirement may be considered for other options such as fixed term contracts. Each applicant’s situation will be assessed as part of the recruitment process.
