Role Overview

Reporting to the Trusts Manager, the postholder will be responsible for maximizing income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, building and nurturing elationships and inspiring long-term support and sustainable income in line with the organisational strategy.

About You

This is a great role for someone with previous experience of Trust Fundraising. You’ll have first class communication skills to enable you to quickly build solid, strong relationships both face to face and over the telephone. Excellent writing skills are essential as well as good organisational skills and CRM experience. In these challenging times you’ll need to channel your creative skills to develop exciting stewardship plans.

In this role you will need:

· Previous experience of Trust Fundraising with a strong track record of success and meeting targets

· Excellent writing skills, with the ability to take complex material and translate into visually appealing proposals.

· Experience of organising or helping to organise stewardship events.

· Experience of working with CRM databases.

· Target driven with experience of budgeting and financial management

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition there will be a requirement to attend team and donor meetings in person as required.

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Community Outreach & Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of the Connect to Work programme across Kingston and Sutton. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, with core hours of 9.00am–4.30pm. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days on site per week. Evening work may be required on occasion.

You will report to the Connect to Work Operations Manager and work closely with internal teams and local stakeholders to ensure the service is well integrated and reaches residents who will benefit most.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, your days would be varied, outward-facing and rooted in partnership working. You would play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships across Kingston and Sutton, working with local organisations to ensure eligible residents are identified, engaged and referred into the Connect to Work programme.

You would proactively engage with a wide range of partners, including Local Authority teams, Jobcentre Plus, health services, VCSE organisations and community groups. This would involve attending forums and partnership meetings, delivering tailored information sessions and presentations, and promoting the Connect to Work service so that referral pathways are clear, effective and aligned with contractual targets.

A central part of the role is ensuring Connect to Work is well integrated with existing local provision. You would work alongside partner teams, including co-locating where appropriate, to support warm handovers into the service and improve participant journeys. You would also identify gaps in local provision and work with internal colleagues to develop solutions that improve access and outcomes for residents.

You would manage and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, supported by the Operations Manager and Senior Integration and Partnership Manager. This includes maintaining regular 

communication with partners, contributing to partnership action plans, and providing updates on progress, impact and service developments. You would work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise opportunities for skills development, vacancies and sustainable employment outcomes.

Alongside outreach activity, you would ensure all work is delivered in line with contract requirements, safeguarding protocols and data protection standards. You would maintain accurate records of partnership engagement and referrals, provide timely updates and reports to support service monitoring, and contribute to internal meetings, service reviews and audits. The role also includes attending supervision, appraisal, training and development activities, and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation by embedding its values in all interactions.

Above all, this role suits someone who enjoys working with people, building trusted partnerships, and helping communities connect with opportunities that support long-term employment and wellbeing.

What you’ll need

We are looking for someone who brings the following skills and experience:

• Experience of outreach, partnership working or community engagement within employment, health, social care or VCSE settings

• A strong understanding of the importance of integration and partnership working within employability programmes

• The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

• Confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of working towards targets or outcomes while maintaining a people-centred approach

• Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office and the use of databases or CRM systems

• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection (GDPR) requirements

The Fixery Workshop Officer supports the daily operations of the Fixery and supporting in its promotion and development. You will be helping to deliver a welcoming, community-centred service that promotes repair, reuse and waste reduction. The role involves working alongside volunteers and community members to create an inviting space where people want to spend time, while enabling residents to access circular activities through managing the Fixery stalls and ensuring a smooth running of the hub’s operations.

The Senior Support Worker is the lead practitioner within their designated intensive support  domestic abuse refuge, providing day-to-day operational oversight and support to staff, volunteers and bank staff. 

Working closely with the Refuge Manager and Deputy Refuge Manager, the postholder ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The role acts as the main point of continuity within the refuge, supporting staff induction, maintaining standards of practice, and contributing to a safe, stable and supportive environment.

The post holder will take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day administration of the Trust’s membership schemes, using the Charity CRM database to maintain accurate contact & financial records in line with GDPR. This includes processing new, renewing and lapsed memberships, handling payments ( Direct Debits, PayPal & Gift Aid) and providing consistently high-quality communication with members through enquiries, welcome packs, renewal reminders and supporter care.

This is a maternity cover role to cover a period of maternity leave (up to one year) working 22.5 hours per week over three days (office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm) based at Brooke House in Ashbocking. There may be opportunity for the role to become a permanent contract. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. Key Responsibilities

Database Management (Beacon CRM – Fundraising Database)

• Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date fundraising and programmes data entry.  Accurately processing all incoming donations and pledges and ensuring others in the team correctly enter and maintain data.
• Develop overall data management structure of supporter records and processes.  Develop and maintain information management structures in the CRM system to enable accurate and timely information and reporting.
• Adhere to data protection legislation ensuring the way we gather, record and use data is compliant with latest policies, working closely with the Data Protection Officer.
• Handle all enquiries received through the CRM system, providing timely and appropriate responses.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operation and optimal use of the CRM system.
• Generate reports and analytics from the CRM system to track and measure key metrics.
• Conduct regular data audits to identify and rectify any inconsistencies or errors in the CRM database.
• Training staff members on how to effectively use the CRM system.

We are looking for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join us at this exciting stage in Settle’s development. Over the next few years, we aim to significantly grow the number of young people we are working with while maintaining the quality and impact of our programme. The Partnerships Engagement Officer will join the Business Development Team, reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager. You will be integral to helping us to grow our reach so that we can work with more care-experienced young people across London. 

The successful candidate will nurture and strengthen our existing partnerships to maximise referral numbers. The core of the role will be to build strong formal and informal relationships with partners and increase awareness and a deeper understanding of Settle’s work. You will make regular in-person visits to Local Authority, Housing Association and charity referral partners across London to promote the Settle programme and ensure our offer is well understood and uptake is maximised.  Ideally, you will spend some of your time working from partner offices. 

With some experience of working for or with local authorities, housing associations or charities, you enjoy working collaboratively to improve processes and widen access to opportunities in order to create better outcomes for young people. This role will suit someone who can work independently and appreciates variety in their work: one day you might enjoy a lively conversation with a group of social workers and another you will delve into the data to produce informative reports for partners.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster.

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways.

This role sits within Race Against Dementia’s small, dynamic Operations team, who oversee the charity’s research programmes and internal processes. The team is responsible for managing Race Against Dementia’s research portfolio – from coordinating funding calls and supporting the selection of the projects we fund, to delivering the training and development programme for our researchers.

Purpose of the role

The Research Officer plays a central role in delivering Race Against Dementia’s research activity, helping to strengthen our research programmes and support the researchers we fund. The role combines strong organisational skills with clear science communication: coordinating processes, systems and partnerships to ensure smooth delivery, while translating research progress into accessible updates for internal and external audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Research administration:

• Manage the administration of all grant calls and related processes.
• Coordinate all incoming communications regarding research matters, ensuring timely, professional responses.
• Maintain team calendars and shared resources to support smooth team operations.
• Set up review sessions with Race Against Dementia Fellows to monitor progress.
• Support preparation of updates and progress reports for charity Trustees, funders and supporters.
• Work with the Research Manager to coordinate training activities for Race Against Dementia researchers.
• Support the planning and delivery of the annual in-person training event for Race Against Dementia researchers.
• Work closely with Race Against Dementia’s research partners and training partners to coordinate joint activities, communication, and ensure smooth delivery of collaborative projects and training activities.
• Undertake research to identify new organisations aligned with our mission.

Science communications

• Track key developments in dementia research and emerging trends in the field.
• Support the creation of research related social media content for the charity’s social media channels.
• Support the development of press materials to announce research updates and milestones.
• Contribute to copywriting and content development for the Race Against Dementia’s website.
• Work with the Research Manager to ensure the wider team is kept up to date with research developments across our network and the wider field.
• Help build and maintain a network of key dementia research stakeholders across academia and charities. 

Other duties

Carry out any other duties as required by the Research Manager, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national meetings/events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia.
• To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
• To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.
• To work within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia’s policies and procedures.
