The role

As our Advice Session Supervision, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the delivery of advice services across both office-based and community outreach settings.

You will supervise, support, and develop a team of employed advisers, volunteers, and supervisors—ensuring our services are of the highest quality and delivered in line with Citizens Advice standards. 

This includes oversight of advice sessions, project coordination, case checking, and ensuring team members are up to date with training and development.

This is a key leadership role requiring strong people management skills, sound advice knowledge, and the ability to motivate and empower others. You will demonstrate a deep commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service, with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

Role profile

Team Leadership & Line Management

• Supervise and support a team of advisers and volunteers in order to provide high quality accurate advice to service users and partners

• Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews.

• Support with recruitment, induction, and development for advisers and supervisors.

Service Delivery Oversight

• Ensure smooth delivery of generalist and specialist advice services across all channels (in-person, phone, online, outreach).

• Monitor session flow and respond to operational pressures and safeguarding issues.

• Manage rota planning and resource allocation in response to demand.

Quality & Compliance

• Oversee quality assurance and ensure advice meets Citizens Advice standards.

• Conduct case checks, Independent file reviews, and support remedial action where needed.

• Promote continuous improvement and respond to client feedback or complaints.

• Ensure supervisors, advisers and volunteers complete tasks and remedial action in a timely manner.
   

 Technical Support & Guidance

• Act as a point of escalation for complex advice queries from supervisors, advisers and volunteers

• Ensure technical knowledge is shared and updated across the team.

• Contribute to internal training and CPD activities.

Training & Development

• Ensure all supervisors, advisers, and volunteers are up to date with mandatory and role-specific training.

• Monitor attendance at refresher events and promote a learning culture.

• Liaise with internal trainers to coordinate support and capacity building across teams.

• Ensure own training and professional development is kept up to date in line with role requirements.

 Service Development & Data Monitoring

• Use data, KPIs and trends to inform improvements and plan service delivery.
  Support the development and implementation of new projects and funding bids.

• Engage with partners and stakeholders to extend service reach and impact.

Research and campaigns

• Assist with research and campaigns by providing information on clients' circumstances and current issues faced 

• Provide statistical information on the number of clients and nature of cases and provide regular reports to management. 

• Monitor service provision to ensure that it reaches the widest possible client group. 

• Alert other staff to local and national issues and campaigns. 

  Person specification 

Essential: 

• At least 1 years’ experience supervising advice services or managing advice teams.

• Sound understanding of regulated advice delivery (e.g., debt, benefits, housing).

• Proven ability to manage people and deliver operational leadership.

• Experience conducting case checks and applying Citizens Advice quality standards.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.. 

• Have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to locations across Doncaster 

• An understanding of local and national issues that may affect those accessing the service provision 

Desirable:

• Experience of building relationships with partners and external organisations 

• Experience of working within a community setting

• Proven experience of working towards and achieving targets and running funded projects 

• Experience of providing advice 

• Familiarity with Citizens Advice systems and service models.

In accordance with Citizens Advice national policy we may require the successful candidate to be screened by the DBS. However, a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to your being able to take up the job.

Terms and conditions

• Full time salary £28,000 -  £31,700 per annum depending on experience

• Hours - 37 hours per week with some requirement for out of usual office hours remote supervision

• A full-time post holder will be entitled to 28 days which are inclusive of the 8 normal bank holidays and 4 associated days.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a creative and dynamic person with a proven track record in creating, delivering and managing digital content across social media platforms to develop, implement and manage strategies to grow our online presence and raise our profile.

You’ll have demonstrable experience across a wide range of social media platforms with the ability to craft engaging content to build a rapport with your audience while continuing to uphold our brand and professional values. You will be managing multiple accounts held by the charity.

You will have experience of using third party management tools to create, plan and schedule content, analysing reach and engagement, and using analytical tools to help make informed decisions about our digital marketing strategies. You will regularly report back to the management team feeding into our wider strategy discussions, making recommendations on future campaigns. 

You will be part of a wider communications team, working alongside the PR & Communications Manager, reporting to one of the trustees, fostering an organisation-wide approach working with all colleagues to ensure a planned, structured and collaborative approach to our communications and marketing planning.
As a small charity, flexibility is key to meet the needs of our shifting priorities and in between delivering and managing social media content – your primary focus –  you will additionally support wider marketing activities with creation of digital content to support charity advertising, support the development of our online (web) content and more general activities across the communications team. While there will be some level of existing experience, training will be provided for anything bespoke.

As part of the role, you will help our UK-based volunteers to develop local social media activities and support them as required. This may involve making recommendations in their approach, supporting content creation and upskilling them to gain confidence in using social media.

The role is remote and the successful applicant can work from a location of their choice, making optimum use of video conferencing and online collaboration tools to connect with the wider communications team.

Some UK travel within the role is expected with the charity reimbursing reasonable UK travel costs where agreed up front and on behalf of the charity.

Interviews will be two-stage for successful candidates. Main purpose of the role

The Community Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Community is living the mission of L’Arche, by providing excellent and sustainable care and support services, support for  spirituality, and engaging with our neighbours and the wider community around us.

The Community Leader will:

• Lead the Community by responding to the needs, choices and context of our members while being faithful to the L'Arche UK Vision and Values, the L'Arche International Identity and Mission Statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan.
• Maintain and enhance high-quality, person-centred care, support, and housing for people with learning disabilities, both at home and in our day services in partnership with the Registered Manager, the Team in London, the National Leadership Team, individual circles of support, and external partners; 
• Ensure the Community's financial sustainability through robust financial planning and management, including setting budgets, controlling spending, maximising occupancy, negotiating care contracts, growing day services, and spotting fundraising opportunities;
• Foster a culture that maximises the voice and power for people with learning disabilities, building listening and collaboration between Community members with and without learning disabilities;
• Contribute to the national work programmes of L'Arche UK, as part of the National Council, collaborating with Community Leaders of other L'Arche Communities, to share skills, best practice, and resources

Key essential criteria

• Senior leadership experience in support to adults with learning disabilities (or transferable skills and experience in a closely related field);
• Experience in leading, managing, and developing an organisation or large teams to deliver results, maintain compliance and quality, and to respond to risks and opportunities;
• Good financial planning skills and experiences of successfully managing a substantial budget;
• Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to develop and implement community plans;
• Experience of living or working alongside people with learning disabilities and/or autistic individuals;
• Passionate about person-centred support and the values and mission of L'Arche;

As a Wilder Learning Officer, you’ll help shape and deliver an inspiring programme of outdoor learning, training and engagement that connects people of all ages with nature across Sussex. You’ll coordinate and deliver high‑quality sessions to teachers and children across EYFS, Primary and Secondary phases, in-school and outdoor settings. You’ll deliver and assess our accredited Forest School and Wild Beach training programmes to adults; advise on school grounds improvement for nature; and champion the benefits of nature connection through a wide range of activities and events. Alongside hands‑on delivery, you’ll support in marking, evaluation and planning; contribute to income generation; and help ensure our schools and learning programmes are safe, inclusive and reflective of best practice. You’ll play a key role in communicating our work—engaging with teachers, families, volunteers and external partners, acting as a friendly, knowledgeable ambassador for Sussex Wildlife Trust.

This is a varied and practical role at the heart of our Wilder Learning team, empowering educators and wider school communities to connect with nature and take meaningful action for wildlife in Sussex.

As Senior New Business Manager, you will lead the new business function of our high-performing and ambitious Corporate Partnerships team. You will be responsible for driving new corporate income by identifying, cultivating and securing major partnerships. You will lead all new business activity with the New Business Manager, from proactive outreach and developing compelling propositions to successfully negotiating and onboarding new partners. 

Working closely with teams across the Charity and The Royal Marsden, you will create partnership proposals that align corporate objectives with those of the Charity. You will also lead long‑term strategic planning of the function, support the development of our Corporate Partnerships Board, and ensure the highest standards of reporting, forecasting and data management. 

This is a highly visible and impactful role, ideal for someone who combines creativity, commercial insight and strategic thinking with a passion for building relationships that create meaningful impact. 

Key responsibilities 

• Lead the New Business function, building a strong pipeline and securing high‑value, multi‑year corporate partnerships. 

• Drive income growth, meeting ambitious six‑ and seven‑figure annual and multi‑year targets while managing financial performance, budgets and forecasts. 

• Develop and deliver compelling, tailored corporate propositions, collaborating across the Charity and hospital to create standout proposals and pitches.

The Role

LawCare is seeking an inspiring and values-led Chief Executive to lead the charity into its next phase of development at a pivotal moment for the legal profession. As the public face and strategic leader of the organisation, the Chief Executive will champion LawCare’s mission - ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality, confidential support services while strengthening its voice and influence across a rapidly evolving and increasingly commercial mental health landscape.

Strategic Leadership & Impact

• Lead delivery of LawCare’s forthcoming strategy (2026 onwards), translating vision into measurable impact.
• Ensure LawCare sharpens its positioning and messaging in a crowded mental health marketplace.

External Relations & Sector Influence

• Act as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for LawCare across the legal sector in the UK, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man.

• Ensure the continued delivery of high-quality, confidential helpline and peer support services.
