The Foundation Partnerships team at the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) builds long term relationships with private, institutional, and statutory funders. We have achieved significant success in recent years and are ambitious to do more. We are currently recruiting a Foundations Manager (EML Cover) to join the team. The Foundations Manager will be key to enabling us to achieve even greater results for children.
As Foundations Manager, you will research, develop and manage relationships with our partners and prospects, with a particular focus on partnerships at the six and seven-figure level. You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive, enthusiastic and experienced team to cultivate strategic, valuable partnerships for UNICEF UK.
We are looking for excellent communication skills, both written and oral, plus the ability to develop effective relationships with donors to ensure outcomes are maximised for both UNICEF UK and our partners. You will have experience in fundraising including developing and coordinating successful proposals. You will also have experience managing grants, including reporting (narrative and financial) and compliance with contracts. The role:
Friends of the Earth is a leading environmental NGO, concerned with the protection of the environment and social justice. The Friends of the Earth legal team is a cross-cutting team providing expert support and intellectual leadership in our campaigning. We need a lawyer with strong experience in planning and environmental law, and a good understanding of using the law in campaigning. This is an exciting opportunity to use the law and planning policy to make positive change happen.
As a Lawyer you will provide Friends of the Earth with legal advice and representation in support of our overall aims and objectives, including to: inform and/or develop campaign strategy or tactics, identify, develop and/or deliver litigation and planning casework opportunities, support and provide training to communities, and to help win campaigns. A core focus of the role is to defend and extend environmental justice and to do that as an effective member of an established team. Working with our Head of Legal and Senior Lawyer, you will provide essential additional capacity and support to the team, during a busy period, as we undergo a period of campaign planning and restructuring.
Key Skills and Attributes:
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a practicing certificate in England and Wales. You will have proven experience of working in UK public law, and with expertise in the environmental and planning sectors.
Litigation experience and knowledge of the domestic planning system are important, and you will have had conduct of environmental and planning cases. As a creative and strategic thinker, you will add value to campaigns by identifying legal opportunities that have impact.
Being able to work well under pressure and to present complex legal information clearly and concisely to non-lawyers is an essential part of the job, and you will also be able to communicate effectively and confidently to a range of audiences and at significant public events.
The successful candidate must be able to work with a range of different people, and to value and respect that diversity. A strong team orientated work ethic is essential, along with a demonstrable understanding and commitment to environmental and/or social justice (including how law can effect positive change).

Philanthropy Manager
Philanthropy and Partnerships fundraising at Alzheimer's Research UK has grown significantly over
recent years. The Directorate has a strong track record of soliciting seven-figure donations and
winning significant corporate partnerships with well-known and well-loved brands such as Omaze,
Cadbury, Warburtons, Roadchef and Dobbies.
We are now building upon this success and have launched a new, significant fundraising campaign.
This campaign will help drive further transformational growth, from income across major donors,
trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. Ultimately, it will help us fund cutting-edge research
that will bring forward the day when we can diagnose, treat and prevent dementia.
The Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in the success of the Philanthropy Team. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and other stakeholders across ARUK, the Philanthropy Manager will drive income and deliver transformational gifts and strategic relationships with individual major donors and charitable trusts and foundations.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Building and Income Generation
· Build relationships with a portfolio of high-value current and prospective major donors and charitable trusts, gauging their level of interest in our work, providing opportunities to engage with ARUK, and soliciting gifts through face-to-face meetings and events.
· Develop a thorough understanding of ARUK's projects, policies and activities to articulate the mission of our work and inspire people to join us.
· Tailor and develop cases for support to attract funding for ARUK's projects, fundraising across different areas of ARUK's work, including identified strategic priorities for the organisation.
· Present and pitch to potential supporters and donors, managing meetings where relevant and involving senior representation when needed — including supporting the Head of Philanthropy on high-value asks where required.
· Develop stewardship and engagement plans for donors, working with teams across ARUK to create bespoke and creative engagement opportunities, ensuring donors are thanked and updated and that their relationship with ARUK grows in depth and value.
· Work with the prospect development team to manage a portfolio pipeline, moving donors/trusts through the different stages to secure gifts.
· Lead on relationships with senior volunteers and senior leadership, where appropriate, empowering them to open their networks and ask for support.
· Work closely and collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships and other teams on cross-team fundraising opportunities.
Line Management
· Line manage a Philanthropy Officer, actively empowering, coaching and supporting them to develop their operational plans and deliver on key priorities.
· Work with the Head of Philanthropy to set clear goals, objectives and KPIs for the Officer and provide them with the ongoing guidance and support they need to reach them.
· Role model and actively embed Alzheimer’s Research UK values and behaviours across all activities, and champion the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Processes
· Liaise with the Philanthropy Executive (Admin) as required on expected income and gift restrictions.
· Work closely with the Donor Relations Manager to enable them to fully support donor relationships in terms of stewardship and recognition.
· Ensure supporter and event records are kept up to date through daily use of ARUK’s CRM (Salesforce).
Events
· Play a key role in the planning and delivery of team events such as cultivation dinners, with support from the Events Team.
· Explore and develop new fundraising event opportunities, working closely with the Events Team to create engaging high-value event
· Lead on bespoke events such as online donor presentations or tailored lab tours for a small group of supporters.
· Represent ARUK at Philanthropy Team events, and at other ARUK events where major donors or the representatives of charitable trusts may be attending.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Demonstrable experience gained working in a major gifts fundraising or client relationship management role.
· Demonstrable experience of developing long-term/ strategic relationships.
· Demonstrable experience of developing relationships/ influencing through face-to-face contact.
· Demonstrable experience of working effectively without close supervision.
· Good understanding of the principles of major gifts fundraising.
· Experience working in a target-led environment.

About the role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will have a genuinely influential role in making that ambition possible. Working closely with our Director and wider team, you will take the lead on developing and delivering our fundraising strategy across trusts and foundations, major donors, regular giving, community fundraising, corporate partnerships and legacies.
This is not a role where you will be one small part of a large fundraising machine. Westway Trust is seeking a creative and strategic Communications Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping how the Trust’s story is told across every channel. The Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for the relationship management of a portfolio of around 100 prospective donors in order to raise funds for a range of key projects. The Philanthropy Officer will take ownership of the end-to-end relationship management process of a prospect, from initial research to stewardship activity:
1. Personally manage a portfolio of circa 100 of the University’s (4- and 5-figure) donors and prospective donors, maintaining close relationships with each prospect and integrating them with the University whenever possible to bring the prospective donors to the point where you can ask for philanthropic support.
2. Secure over £100,000 of donation pledges in the first year and develop a sustainable pipeline of prospects and philanthropic income.

Demonstrate an understanding that successful fundraising is based on building effective relationships, which match a prospective donor’s philanthropic interest with an area of strength and/or opportunity at the University. Be responsible for the end-to-end relationship management process of your contacts including:
· Identifying new prospective donors from your networks.
· Making the approach and managing a cultivation process, tailored to your prospect.
· Understanding the University’s campaign priorities and bringing them to life for individual supporters. through various communication channels.
· Asking confidently, passionately and effectively for key priorities.

5. Deliver against set targets including money raised, asks made, meetings secured and gift close rate.
6. Communicate effectively with prospects, donors, volunteers, alumni, academics, researchers and businesses using a wide range of communication skills.

This is a hands-on communications role sitting at the centre of a small, ambitious and growing charity.
The Communications Manager will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering communications across Not A Phase. You will bring together communications from across our services, campaigns, fundraising, partnerships and events, ensuring that what we communicate is engaging, accessible, consistent and recognisably Not A Phase.

Your profile
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent relationship management to a portfolio of corporate partners, including, but not limited to, producing account management plans, setting partnership objectives, supporting fundraising initiatives and employee engagement, thereby significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.
