About the role:
You will manage and develop a team of Business Development Managers, Business Development Officers and a Business Development Coordinator, creating a high-performing culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement and learning.
You will play a critical part in driving excellence in the quality of bids, tenders and proposals. You will oversee competitive tendering activity, strengthening bid processes (involving further integration of AI tools), embedding effective quality assurance arrangements and ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, evidence-based and clearly demonstrate the impact of Victim Support's services.
Success in this role will also depend on the ability to build strong and productive relationships across the organisation. The role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead APF's communications, marketing and engagement function. This is a new and exciting role for Hospice UK. As Content and Brand Manager you will play a key role bringing Hospice UK’s strategic priorities to life, delivering high-quality content that meets our audiences’ needs, drives engagement and tells a compelling story about our brand.
You will lead and drive an ambitious new content strategy for the organisation that brings coherence and dynamism to our communications, ensures clear and consistent messaging across our channels and seizes opportunities to be creative, adaptable and at the heart of sector debates. The Team
You will work within the Communications team that sits within the wider External Affairs Directorate. We are around 20 in total, including 4 colleagues based in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Communications team includes colleagues working across content, social and digital, as well as partnership marketing and member communications.
You will work closely with a smaller team of 3 colleagues, our Senior Social Media Officer, Media and PR Manager and your line manager – our Senior Communications and Communications Manager. Together you will be involved in the big issues in hospice care, making sure Hospice UK is vocal, visible and leading the debate.

You’ll play a key role in recruiting, supporting, and developing volunteers, helping us achieve our mission of improving the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis.

About the role
This exciting opportunity will be supporting the Third Party Events Manager with the ongoing development of our third party running and challenge events. You’ll be forming strong relationships with our supporters and delivering event experiences from concept to completion.
This role has lots of potential for growth and development. You’ll work closely with the Events Management team to expand and develop our third party events programme, steward existing supporters and engage new audiences that aim to raise the charity’s profile and reach as well as significant income.
Please note, this role is being advertised as a fixed term contract, ending in December 2027.
What you'll do
Support the Third Party Events Manager to manage and develop the 3rd party events strategy and budgets, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Plan, manage, deliver and develop 3rd party events in order to achieve agreed income, expenditure and audience targets
Create and manage event budgets ensuring that income, expenditure and KPI’s are met
Work with the Events Managers to create and develop stewardship communications across a range of channels
Lead the strategic plan and development of the Team Parkinson’s social media platforms to create a friendly, engaging and ‘community feel’ environment
What you'll bring
Experience of successfully delivering a variety of fundraising events including recruitment of participants and volunteers
Experience of drawing up budgets and managing income (min £350,000) and expenditure (min £85,000)
Understanding of data and insight that is needed to test, optimise and evaluate the running events portfolio
Excellent communication and written skills
Experience of project management including liaising with and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
