Job description

Join one of the South West's most ambitious and community-focused theatres.

The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury is looking for a Development Manager to help grow philanthropic income and supporter engagement as we build an exciting future for our charity.

Working closely with the CEO, Marketing Manager, trustees and colleagues across the organisation, you'll lead the cultivation, stewardship and growth of individual giving, patron schemes, corporate support and donor development. You'll also play an important role in trusts and foundations fundraising, helping to secure investment in our artistic, community and participation programmes.

This is a genuine growth opportunity. Perhaps you've been in a Development Officer role at a medium or large charity and are ready to take on more responsibility. Or perhaps you've built expertise in one area of fundraising and are looking to broaden your experience across individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and donor stewardship. Either way, this role offers the chance to develop your skills within a supportive and ambitious organisation.

We're looking for someone who is an excellent relationship-builder, organised and proactive, with a passion for connecting people to great causes. You may come from the arts, charity, education or commercial sectors. What matters most is your ability to build lasting relationships, identify opportunities and help turn them into sustainable income.

As part of a small and collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of a thriving regional theatre with deep community roots and bold ambitions for the years ahead.

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 FTE
Hours: 0.8-1.0 FTE (4-5 days per week)
Location: The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury, with flexible and hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent (subject to funding)
Job Share: Applications for job share arrangements are welcome
Start Date: ASAP / Autumn 2026

The Roses Theatre is a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace. We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
