In this role, you will manage the administration and coordination of catering partners working towards or maintaining accreditation, helping ensure venues can safely serve people who need to live gluten free. You’ll work closely with restaurants, hotels and foodservice providers, supporting applications, renewals, audits and training bookings while maintaining strong partner relationships. This is a varied role within the Commercial team, combining administration, partner support and coordination across multiple commercial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the renewals process for catering businesses within the Gluten Free Accreditation scheme, ensuring all commercial and administrative requirements are completed.
• Support the management of new accreditation applications and catering training enquiries, liaising with commercial partners and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate the scheduling and follow up of onsite accreditation audits, working with internal teams, external auditors and partner venues.
• Maintain accurate information about accredited venues across the Coeliac UK website, Venue Guide and internal systems.
• Administer catering training bookings through the Gluten Free Academy and ensure the smooth delivery of this service.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, monitoring reports and revenue data while supporting invoicing and debt management processes.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Research Officer to join our Development Team, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. It’s a particularly exciting time to join, as we are embarking on an ambitious 125th Anniversary Campaign in 2027.

This role is crucial in enabling the Academy to achieve its ambitious fundraising targets for our next campaign. The Development Research Officer will identify potential new funders who have the capacity and affinity to support the British Academy, as well as managing qualified prospects as they move through the prospect pipeline. You will also provide key intelligence on prospects and donors for meeting briefings and events, as well as due diligence research on potential donors to the Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic insights on prospects and donors for the variety of audiences that we work with. You will enjoy gathering and analysing information from a variety of sources, make connections between people and organisations, and be creative in how to present information and data. Alongside the research role, you will also provide administrative support for the internal and external activities of the Development Team.

You will ideally have some experience of research in a fundraising environment, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Relationship Giving Manager plays a leading and hands on role in designing and implementing the supporter acquisition, retention and development plans. Focusing on growing reach, engagement and ultimately income across Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory activity.

The postholder will manage, coordinate and deliver a variety of donor acquisition, conversion and retention campaigns and communications that make up the donor acquisition and supporter development programmes to deadline and within budget across various mediums including print, digital, face-to-face and direct marketing etc.

• Track the performance of campaigns and monitor performance metrics, including campaign results against agreed KPIs

About you

Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma to live longer and better lives?  We are looking for someone with experience of delivering high quality supporter journeys and delivering fundraising projects and activities to join our Legacy & In Memory Giving team. Helping to grow income and supporting and delivering the Legacy & In Memory Giving fundraising strategy. 

You will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with good attention to detail and be able to follow procedures accurately.  Being successful in building effective relationships, self-motivated with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks under pressure and committed to making a difference is essential.

Previous experience of working in a cancer or healthcare charity, talking to bereaved and vulnerable supporters and using Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.

About the role

The Legacy & In Memory Giving Fundraiser will help support and deliver the Legacy and In Memory Giving fundraising strategy.  You will have compassionate communication skills, especially when talking to supporters who are recently bereaved and you will develop and deliver outstanding stewardship programmes that offer support and drive retention.

This role requires using data and insight to help deliver the Legacy marketing programme, whilst also supporting the day-to-day Legacy and estate administration, dealing with solicitors, legal representatives and executors.  You will proactively develop In Memory Giving fundraising, maximising the fundraising products, channels and messaging already available, as well as identifying new opportunities that are suitable for the Legacy & In Memory audience.

The role will also include working with colleagues, maximising cross team collaboration and ensuring appropriate Legacy and In Memory stewardship across all fundraising specialisms.

About the role 

The Operations Coordinator will play an important role in the smooth running of the day centre and night shelter. Working with the Operations Lead, the post holder will secure a diverse and active cohort of volunteers able to fill all the necessary shifts, ensure the building is well maintained and manage the stock of necessary provisions so that guests are adequately provided for. We particularly welcome those with lived experience of homelessness who are able to bring their ‘expertise through experience’ to the role.

Key responsibilities:

Volunteers

• Work with the Operations Lead in the recruitment, training and onboarding of our volunteers, coordinating any relevant checks as required
• Manage volunteer rotas for all our projects: ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely fashion
• Contribute to our engagement with volunteers to ensure they have the best possible experience. This includes supporting the Operations Lead in managing the volunteer advisory group and the provision of training and development of volunteers
• Ensure the volunteer CRM system is kept up to date with all aspects of volunteer data and contribute ideas and actions to improve the process
• Contribute to regular volunteer communication including volunteer newsletters
• Contribute to reports for trustees and other stakeholders on our volunteers and their contribution to the smooth running of the centre.

Premises

• Timely reporting of any damage to the property, fixtures and fittings and liaising with the local authority and repair teams
• Undertake actions as required to ensure the health and safety of the premises, guests, staff, and volunteers. This includes fire alarm tests and fire drills, emergency lighting tests, acting as a fire warden, security alarm tests, and any other health and safety aspects of the premises.

Logistics and administration

• Undertake the ordering of food, stocking of food donations, and timely communications to volunteer cooks
• Ensure all costs are properly recorded and shared with our bookkeeper
• Undertake other administrative tasks as required.

Organisational engagement

• Contribute to organisational strategic planning and review of progress

Prospect Identification and Research

Wood Street Mission is a children’s charity helping children and families impacted by poverty in Manchester and Salford. 

We provide practical help to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and improve their life chances. We give clothes, bedding and baby equipment to struggling families, along with toys and books which are important for children’s wellbeing and development.

We support engagement in education by helping families with the costs of school uniform and run Book Roadshow events in schools to promote reading and improve children’s literacy. We work to raise awareness about child poverty and help thousands of children and their families every year.

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to join our growing team, as we take Wood Street Mission to the next level. You will be responsible for managing and delivering our Grants and Trusts income stream, developing long-term relationships with funders, and building on our small but successful track record. The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser is a pivotal role in helping us to accelerate our growth even further so we can help more children to thrive free from poverty.

The role is flexible between the office in Manchester and working from home.

Purpose of post

As the Grants and Trusts Fundraiser, you will be responsible for securing grants of varying sizes, translating the charity’s work across our five projects into compelling, high-quality applications for a range of audiences. Working collaboratively with the wider charity team, you will have a hands-on role in understanding our projects to ensure you can authentically convey our mission and our impact to funders. 

You will provide excellent care to existing and new supporters, ensuring reporting requirements are met and that funders are kept informed of how their support has enabled the charity to continue its work.

A key responsibility will be to contribute to and develop the Grants and Trusts fundraising plan. You will work to identify, secure and develop a robust pipeline of grant funders to maximise income and enable continued growth and sustainability of Wood Street Mission’s work. 

Main duties and responsibilities

1. To contribute to and develop the Grants and Trusts fundraising plan as agreed with the Fundraising Lead, to support the charity’s strategy

2. Meet agreed key performance indicators and to monitor and report on these targets

3. To keep up to date with funding policies and grant giving organisation news to inform the fundraising plan

4. To work closely with the Fundraising Lead and other members of the team to ensure a coordinated approach and excellent level of care for supporters, through appropriate and engaging communication methods

5. To research and develop new funders to support the achievement of fundraising targets

6. Frequently report on progress of Grants and Trusts fundraising to the Fundraising Lead

7. Work with the wider charity team to build a bank of individual stories and information for each of the five projects, to develop a Case for Support which can be adapted to different audiences

8. To work with the Fundraising Lead and the charity team to carry out a Full Cost Recovery exercise across all five projects, to provide a clear overview of the charity’s income and expenditure budget

9. Write comprehensive and persuasive applications to funders and prepare tailored presentations for a range of supporters

10. Build, nurture and account manage relationships with grant giving organisations, providing impact assessments, case studies and progress reports as required

11. Implement an effective stewardship process to maximise income and encourage long-term support, so funders feel appreciated and understand how their support has made an impact

12. Ensure grants are acknowledged promptly and reporting requirements are met within agreed timescales

13. To work alongside colleagues within the charity to identify potential grant funding opportunities and potential cross team working opportunities to ensure the charity maximises income across all income streams
