The successful candidate will lead the delivery and development of Brake's fundraising events programme, driving participation, engagement and income generation. The portfolio includes Brake's flagship fundraising events, such as The Big Tea Brake and annual black-tie dinner, a series of digital fundraising challenges, and the management of third-party challenge events.

The role is responsible for creating exceptional supporter experiences, growing event income and building lasting relationships with participants, sponsors and stakeholders to help raise vital funds for Brake's work supporting road crash victims and campaigning for safer roads.

You are an experienced events professional with a track record of planning, delivering and growing successful fundraising events. You are confident managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality events that achieve participation, income and engagement objectives.

You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, supporters and external partners, while also being confident working independently and using your own initiative. You are highly organised, solutions-focused and resilient, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. You are motivated by achieving results and continuously improving event performance through insight, innovation and excellent supporter experiences.

You bring: 

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in event delivery in a fast paced, target driven environment
• Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating multiple events simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard;
• Experience of fundraising events, challenge events or participation-based campaigns, with a focus on achieving income and participation targets;
• Experience of using data, reporting and insight to monitor performance, identify opportunities and improve results;
• An understanding of supporter stewardship and the ability to deliver excellent participant experiences that encourage fundraising and repeat engagement;

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands we are looking for a specialist Advocate for Scotland. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of domestic abuse. Scotland is expected to introduce Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews commencing in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Scottish legislative system and good understanding around domestic abuse to join our growing charity

Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:

· Listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.

· Provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide & Suicide Reviews (DHSR’s) and other reviews where relevant and appropriate.

· Manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.

· Give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.

· Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

Foxglove works to bring the rule of law to the tech and AI giants who have upended our public square, workplaces, and social lives. We have a strong track record. We’ve launched landmark cases seeking structural changes to big tech’s harmful business models, supported 180+ Facebook content moderators fired for trying to form a union to sue Facebook and their outsourcing company, Sama – winning world-first judgements. We're urging competition regulators worldwide to stop Google’s theft of independent news. The role

Foxglove is seeking a Digital Campaigner to deliver our digital campaigning, our digital communications, our social media and our website. This role would sit within our advocacy and communications team, which works towards stronger accountability for Big Tech, and an end to states’ misuse of algorithms and AI. 

We want people in power to put an end to tech abuses that negatively impact our lives. But we’re up against an army of Big Tech lobbyists, working to shield their industry – and its vast profits – from any form of restraint. That’s why we need to ensure that the public, and our representatives in government and politics, are armed with the facts and knowledge they need to stand up to Big Tech billionaires.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in digital campaigning. The Digital Campaigner will not only identify these areas but act to implement the strategy they help devise – taking a hands-on and energetic approach. 

As part of a small and flexible team, you will also be expected to contribute to our wider areas of work as needed, across communications, advocacy and supporter campaigns. 

Job Description

Digital campaigns

• Develop and lead digital campaign strategies that support Foxglove’s litigation and advocacy work, translating our cases and work into compelling public-facing campaigns.
• Design and deliver end-to-end digital campaign activations – including email campaigns, petitions, actions, donation drives and supporter journeys – using Foxglove’s CRM and campaign tools.
• Identify campaign moments and news hooks and move quickly to mobilise supporters and generate public pressure at critical points in Foxglove’s cases.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data and analytics to learn and improve tactics over time.
• Work closely with Foxglove’s legal and advocacy teams to ensure digital campaigns are timely, accurate, and strategically aligned.
• Contribute to the development of Foxglove’s overall digital strategy, bringing expertise in best practice in digital campaigning.

Supporter engagement

• Grow and steward Foxglove’s supporter base, reaching new audiences and fostering relationships with existing supporters.
• Support Foxglove in the development and delivery of our supporter growth strategy.
• Develop and deliver supporter communications – including coordinating a supporter communications grid, drafting and delivering regular email updates, newsletters, and action alerts – that inform and drive engagement.
• Segment and manage supporter lists to ensure the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time, maximising open rates, click-throughs, and conversion.
• Create pathways for supporters to deepen their involvement with Foxglove’s work, from signing a petition to becoming a supporter or donor.
• Work with colleagues to identify stories and voices from within Foxglove’s community that can strengthen campaigns and broaden public reach.

Social media

• Manage and grow Foxglove’s presence across relevant social media platforms (including LinkedIn, BlueSky, and others as appropriate), maintaining a consistent and distinctive voice.
• Plan and publish engaging content that explains Foxglove’s work, amplifies campaign moments, and drives traffic to key actions and resources.
• Develop and manage a social media content calendar, working across the team to ensure posts are timely, accurate, and tied to broader campaign goals.
• Track and analyse social media performance, using insights to iterate and improve content strategy.

Website management

• Take day-to-day responsibility for Foxglove’s website, ensuring it is kept up to date, well-organised, and optimised for search and user experience.
• Publish and edit content across the site, including case pages, blog posts, press releases, and campaign landing pages, working with colleagues to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Identify and lead improvements to site structure, navigation, and functionality.
• Use privacy respecting analytics tools to monitor site performance, identify trends, and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure campaign and action pages are functioning correctly and converting effectively and manage any technical issues in a timely way.

The Alessia Project is a commissioned independent service based in Newham, supporting individuals aged 16+ who sell sex and/or experience sexual exploitation. Working within a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and person-centred framework, the service empowers individuals to make informed choices about their lives while accessing tailored support. Through strong multi-agency partnerships, service users are supported with a range of needs including housing, finances, health, emotional wellbeing, therapy, and safeguarding. The project prioritises autonomy and empowerment, while recognising and responding to the vulnerabilities, risks, and exploitation that can be associated with survival sex work.

As an Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate (IDSVA), the role involves providing specialist advocacy and high-quality support to sex workers and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and safety planning, managing a caseload of high-risk clients, representing victims at MARAC, making safeguarding referrals, delivering outreach and drop-in support, and working collaboratively with police, health, housing, and community organisations. Using a strengths-based and harm-reduction approach, the IDSVA supports individuals to increase their safety, confidence, independence, and overall quality of life while ensuring their voice remains central to all aspects of support and decision-making.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. The role requires experience of supporting individuals involved in both on-street and off-street sex work, alongside a strong understanding of the barriers they may face when accessing services. Candidates should have experience of providing practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and other forms of gender-based violence, using a trauma-informed and person-centred approach. A thorough understanding of risk assessment, safety planning, safeguarding, and the impact of trauma is essential, as is the ability to effectively support individuals with complex and multiple needs.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, record-keeping, administrative, and time management skills, with experience of managing a caseload and maintaining accurate case records. They will be confident working within multi-agency environments, building strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector agencies, and contributing to processes such as MARAC. A sound knowledge of housing law, welfare benefits, legal remedies available to survivors, safeguarding legislation, and the legal framework surrounding sex work is highly desirable. Above all, the role requires someone who can build trusting, non-judgemental relationships, empower service users to achieve their goals, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, service user involvement, and continuous professional development.
