This is an exciting role to take a small charity to the next level. As the sole salaried employee of Summer Hype, you will have real autonomy to shape how the charity operates, grows and deepens its impact. This is not a role for someone who wants to follow a rigid script — it is for a self-starter who sees the potential in a brilliant organisation and wants to be the person who helps it flourish.

Crucially, you will not be starting from scratch. Summer Hype has more than ten years of successful delivery behind it, a committed community of participants and leaders, and meaningful roots in Hackney. What we need now is someone to take everything we have built and unlock the next chapter.

Where we are heading

Our ambition is clear: we want to be reaching 100 or more young people in Hackney every year. To get there, we know we need to do more — more in-year engagement with our existing participants and leaders, more activities across the school holidays, and a deeper, more visible presence in the borough. We believe there is enormous untapped potential within Summer Hype, and this role exists to realise it.

Some of the directions we are excited to explore include:

• Increasing in-year engagement with current and alumni participants and leaders — social events, skills sessions, community activities

• Deepening relationships with schools and community organisations that already know and trust us

• Growing our profile across Hackney so that Summer Hype becomes a recognised and respected name in the borough

• Longer term, we want to explore expanding our residential offering to other school holiday periods, building on the success of our summer programme

The person who takes on this role will have the chance to shape what this growth looks like. You will report to a Board of Trustees who are committed to Summer Hype's future and will support your work. Beyond that, Summer Hype has a wider community of talented alumni, youth leaders and volunteers — people who genuinely care about what we do. One of the exciting challenges of this role is finding ways to bring that community into more regular, meaningful engagement throughout the year; they are an asset waiting to be activated.

While you will have a supportive Trustee team guiding you, you will need to be comfortable owning your work, making decisions and driving things forward. In return, you will have genuine freedom to shape what the role looks like and real scope to leave your mark on a charity that is ready to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Camp Delivery & Participant Recruitment

• Identify and build relationships with referrers (schools, youth clubs and community organisations) to recruit new participants, including attending face-to-face meetings and maintaining a proactive presence in the community

• Manage all communication with participants' families — from initial sign-up through to post-camp follow-up — ensuring every family feels genuinely connected to Summer Hype

• Coordinate all camp logistics including securing the venue, arranging transport, ordering materials, working with the leadership team to plan the weekly programme and manage resources

• Serve as the logistical support during the residential week, supporting the volunteer Heads of Camp and liaising with site staff, coaches and families

• Collect feedback and data from participants, families and referees, working with the Fundraising and Impact Trustee

Leader Coordination

• Manage the leadership application process and coordinate a team of youth leaders for the summer programme

• Plan and deliver pre-camp training weekends and writing weekends, including sourcing venues and external speakers where appropriate

• Organise ongoing team-building activities and social events to strengthen the Summer Hype leader community

• Ensure all DBS checks are completed and records are kept up to date

Community Building and Year-Round Programming

• Develop and deliver activities throughout the year for current and alumni participants, leaders and families — helping to build a thriving Summer Hype community beyond the summer

• Embed Summer Hype within the wider Hackney community by forging links with local organisations, businesses and community groups

• Seek opportunities for sponsorship, in-kind support and local partnerships to strengthen our presence in the borough

Governance & Administration

• Maintain accurate records and data management systems in line with our data protection and safeguarding policies

• Ensure relevant charity documentation is organised, current and compliant

• Support the Board of Trustees with reporting and governance requirements

We expect flexibility will be needed across the core responsibilities (set out above). Additionally, after an initial period, the role has potential to flex to include some or all of the below responsibilities, following agreement between the successful job holder and Trustees.

Fundraising & Financial Sustainability

• Research, write and submit grant applications; manage relationships with funders and attend grant meetings

• Identify and develop new income streams including local business partnerships and in-kind support

• Lead on fundraising campaigns, including coordinating matched-funding drives and supporter communications, working closely with the existing fundraising Trustee and volunteers.

• driving the campaign, liaising with the leaders for coordinated posts

• Be responsible for compiling the end of year report for Charity Commision/website

Communications & Digital Presence

• Keep the Summer Hype website and social media presence up to date and look for opportunities to make it a more engaging and informative resource. Trustees are open to creative ideas to strengthen Summer Hype’s social media presence.

• Send regular email updates to supporters and donors, nurturing those relationships over time

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is energised by the mission of Summer Hype and excited by the challenge of building something. You don't need to have done every part of this role before — but you do need to be the kind of person who figures things out, takes initiative and cares deeply about young people.

Essential

• Experience in an operational, co-ordination or project management role (charity sector experience is welcome but not required)

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in building relationships with a range of stakeholders

• A genuine commitment to the mission of Summer Hype and to the young people of Hackney

• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently

• Experience using standard digital tools (email, spreadsheets, social media)

Desirable

• Experience of grant writing or fundraising

• Experience working in or alongside a youth, education or community organisation

The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is a dynamic, forward thinking membership organisation for owners of land, property and rural businesses, who has been championing the interests of rural England and Wales for over 100 years. CLA members own or manage around half the rural land in England and Wales and more than 250 different types of businesses.

We are now looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our expert team in our Midlands office.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll take the lead in planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse programme of events for CLA members, stakeholders and sponsors. Working arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Midlands office, (ST20 0JW) with requirement to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Due to the nature of events at the CLA, from time to time there is requirement to attend meetings elsewhere in the country, primarily in the Midlands, outside of office hours and occasionally including an overnight stay.All travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed and Time Off In Lieu will be granted for abnormal hours.

AFRIL is recruiting for our next Casework Manager, following the advancement of the current post holder into another role within the organisation. We are looking for a hard working and dynamic person who can balance the operational demands of casework and managing frontline services, with excellent HR skills and a keen interest in policy and developing partnerships. The successful candidate will lead a team of 3 Caseworkers (as well as a team of volunteers) in the delivery of AQS casework in the areas of housing, asylum support, welfare benefits and community care, and the provision of Immigration Advice Authority Level 2 advice. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to turn an ambitious social-impact vision into an operational, referral-ready and funding-ready organisation.

About Pathway to Protection CIC

Pathway to Protection CIC is a newly established Community Interest Company being developed to provide a single point of contact and coordinated pathway of support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

Our aim is to develop referral pathways with the police, domestic abuse refuges, local authorities, social services, healthcare providers and other statutory and voluntary-sector organisations.

Following appropriate assessment and safeguarding, individuals will be supported to access relevant specialist services, including refuge and housing support, advocacy, counselling, welfare assistance and legal advice and representation.

Where legal assistance is required, we intend to establish a transparent and independent panel/referral network of suitably experienced solicitors and law firms, preserving client choice and the independence of the CIC.

The Role

This is a hands-on development role. Working closely with the Founder/Director, you will take a leading role in building the infrastructure required to launch the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• developing and implementing a clear project plan for launching the CIC;

• designing referral, intake, triage and onward-referral pathways;

• developing safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and case-management policies and procedures;

• building relationships and referral pathways with police, refuges, local authorities, social services, healthcare providers and other relevant organisations;

• developing a transparent framework for a panel/network of independent solicitors and specialist service providers;

• identifying and developing strategic partnerships;

• researching suitable grants, trusts, foundations, commissioning opportunities and other funding streams;

• developing a funding pipeline and preparing high-quality grant, bid and commissioning applications;

• assisting with budgets, monitoring frameworks, outcomes and evidence of impact required by funders;

• supporting appropriate governance and operational structures; and

• establishing clear and measurable milestones towards sustainable service delivery.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• project or programme management within the charity, CIC, voluntary or public sector;

• establishing or developing a charity, CIC, community service or social-impact project;

• domestic abuse or Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services;

• safeguarding and multi-agency working;

• grant and bid writing, fundraising or commissioning; and

• partnership and stakeholder development.

Previous success in securing grant or commissioned funding would be a significant advantage.

Knowledge of domestic abuse referral pathways, IDVA services, MARAC and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements would also be highly desirable.

You should be proactive, organised and capable of taking ownership of a project from concept through to implementation, with excellent written communication, project-planning and stakeholder-management skills.

What Success Will Look Like

By the end of the initial six-month contract, we expect substantial progress towards:

• an established operational and safeguarding framework;

• functioning referral and case-management processes;

• relationships with key referral partners;

• an independent legal referral/panel framework;

• a clear funding strategy and active funding pipeline;

• grant and commissioning applications submitted or in development; and

• a practical plan for sustainable service delivery.

Routes to Roots is looking for an inspiring, compassionate and proactive Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and future development of the Genesis Centre in Poole.

This is not a role where you will spend every day behind a desk.

You will be at the centre of a busy, welcoming homelessness service: leading people, building partnerships, solving problems, developing opportunities and making sure that people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity receive the very best possible support.

About the role

As Centre Manager, you will take the lead for the day-to-day running and continued development of the Genesis Centre, working closely with our Trustees, staff, volunteers and local partners. You will have real scope to shape how the service develops and to strengthen the Genesis Centre's role within Poole's response to homelessness.

You will be a visible and approachable presence within the Centre and the wider community, helping to raise the profile and reputation of Routes to Roots and strengthen our network of partners and supporters by:

• Leadership & strategy – working with the Trustees to deliver the charity’s strategic and operational plans, monitor outcomes and identify opportunities to improve and develop services.
• People & volunteers – leading and supporting employees and volunteers, including recruitment, induction, development, performance and wellbeing.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of managing people and/or volunteers and overseeing a service, programme or project, including budgets and resources.

You will ideally already have experience of working with people experiencing homelessness or vulnerability and be just as confident building effective relationships with someone walking through the doors of the Genesis Centre as with a volunteer, Trustee, commissioner or partner agency.

You will bring:

The Operations and People Manager will help Sustain function effectively as an organisation and be a great place to work. The post-holder will lead practical improvements in HR, people processes, line management standards, staff development, onboarding, offboarding, organisational culture and compliance. They will combine sound judgement, strong systems thinking and a people-centred approach, helping Sustain keep processes clear, proportionate and well-managed, while supporting colleagues to focus on effective delivery.

The mission of the Sustain alliance is to catalyse systemic change in the UK’s food and farming system – securing a healthy, fair, and sustainable future for all people, nature and a stable climate. Working in collaboration with our alliance members and others, we run a range of advocacy work, projects and campaigns to achieve permanent changes in policy and practice; and to engage more people, organisations and communities in being food system change-makers.

As with all senior roles at Sustain, the person appointed to this role will work mainly at the Sustain office in London during their probationary period, and thereafter at least half of working hours at our office, whilst benefiting from the flexibility offered to all colleagues. This is part of senior role-modelling of the creativity, support, engagement and well-being benefits that in-person working cultivates between colleagues. This will be managed in coordination with other senior colleagues to enable good in-person coverage and connectivity across the week and across common holiday periods.

Role and responsibilities
•Strengthen Sustain’s people, HR, operational and governance systems so that the charity works effectively, fairly and well.
•Help Sustain be a great place to work, with clear standards, supportive line management, good staff development and a positive, inclusive culture.
•Lead on high standards and practical improvements in recruitment; induction; probation; appraisals; people and HR processes; line management skills, knowledge and tools; staff consultation; and organisational policies and practices.
•Support senior leaders, line managers and Trustees with clear advice, reliable processes, good records and proportionate and effective risk management.
•Develop and maintain systems that are simple, useful and appropriate for Sustain’s size, values, resources and legal responsibilities
 

Tasks and responsibilities:

Organisational operations and systems
•Lead on managing and developing the charity’s operational activities.
•Ensure that senior management actions that support operational effectiveness are managed and carried out in a timely way, via an accessible and accountable process.
•Lead and/or participate in a range of internal groups that support operational effectiveness.
•Support the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other relevant staff with governance matters, including:
oReporting to the Council of Trustees on operational and people matters;
oPerformance of the ‘Company Secretary’ role on behalf of Trustees;
oTrustee recruitment, induction and management of necessary information and processes;
oAppropriate compliance with the Charity Governance Code.
•Working with the Chief Executive and Chair of the Council of Trustees, help prepare and coordinate the agendas and the running of the quarterly board meeting and occasional (at least annual) staff and Trustees strategy day, as well as the Sustain AGM, Annual Report and Trustee elections (annual), as one of the key links in communication with and between Sustain’s Council of Trustees.
•Lead on development and implementation of one or more relevant chapter of Sustain’s Organisation Development Plan (ODP).

•Support the planning and running of events, working with Sustain team leads, partners, venues and contributors.
•Work with the Head of Finance, Head of Digital and Design and external suppliers to help ensure office, IT and operational arrangements are appropriate and support effective working.
 

People, HR and employment processes
•Lead development and implementation of HR processes, practical actions and transactions, using external HR and/or legal advisors for authoritative support and advice where needed.
•Lead on full lifecycle support for Sustain staff including:
oEffective and inclusive recruitment, onboarding and offboarding – implementing Sustain’s commitment to recruitment for diversity – working with SMT, finance and admin leads;
oCreating, grading, reviewing and updating job descriptions, working with line managers and the senior leadership team;
oManaging employment contract variances; funding precarity; end-of-contract and risk-of-redundancy processes, working with senior managers, line managers, affected employees and HR/legal advisors;
oCreating or supporting a range of opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds and identities to get involved.
•Act as first point of contact for HR queries, taking ownership of policies and process, culture and employee relations; informed by HR advice, consultation and annual staff survey, including overseeing an action plan to embed areas of good practice, and to pursue improvements in an accountable way.
•Regular review of job descriptions, grades, progression and staff benefits within Sustain to ensure we remain competitive within the sector.
•Provide or commission sector benchmarking data, analysis and recommendations to inform decision-making, using a methodology agreed with Trustee oversight, on matters such financial and non-financial staff benefits.
•Maintain and improve the Staff Handbook, Recruitment Handbook, and related policies, guidance, advice and other support.

Line management standards, learning and staff development
•Lead the development and implementation of clear, practical standards for line management at Sustain, working with SLT, SMT, the Line Managers Forum and external advisers where appropriate.

•Develop and oversee implementation of key processes such as annual appraisals, annual planning and objective-setting, and a suitable performance management process.
•Help ensure objective-setting, personal development and progression conversations are undertaken routinely, and that these and performance management are handled consistently, fairly and in line with Sustain’s values and legal responsibilities.
•Support line managers to run effective 1-to-1s, probation reviews, appraisals, workload conversations, development conversations, and difficult conversations where needed.
•Ensure suitable and sufficient ongoing learning opportunities and training for the staff team and the Line Managers group, driving the charity’s approach to consistent standards, personal development and career progression.
•Maintain and improve the Line Managers Handbook and related tools, templates and guidance.
Culture, EDI, staff voice and union liaison
•Manage and develop Sustain as a great place to work, with a working culture and practices that support effective delivery, as well as health, wellbeing and personal development.
•Serve as an active member of the Diversity Group, to implement and innovate on equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism, and to gather data to measure and report on impact and progress.
•Working with the CEO, provide a route for requests and suggestions from the Health and Wellbeing Group to be properly considered and actioned as appropriate.
•Develop and support ways for staff voices to be heard and influence policies, practices and organisational culture, and for staff to be able to raise ideas and concerns confidently and see actions taken as a result.
•Support structured staff consultation and union liaison processes, helping ensure they are well-organised, transparent, well-documented and conducted in line with Sustain's policies and recognition arrangements.

Governance, compliance and risk management
•Develop and update key resources, contributing to useful reference sets such as the Staff Handbook, Recruitment Handbook and Line Managers Handbook, including overseeing production, maintenance and updating of all policies, procedures and guidance relevant to operations and people.
•Ensure Sustain complies with all employment, health and safety, data protection, charity legislation and statutory guidance including filing at Companies House and maintaining organisational records with the Charity Commission, and managing the risk register and internal policies tracker.

The Worker Support Centre (WSC) is a Scottish charity working in partnership with migrant workers at risk of exploitation across Scotland to secure their rights, challenge labour exploitation, build collective power, and drive lasting law and policy change. We are an evidence-led, worker-driven organisation with strong governance and a growing track record of policy impact. WSC operates a worker-driven structure that places migrant workers at the centre of our governance and decision-making. We deliver casework alongside worker-led organising and policy advocacy, supporting migrant workers in seasonal agriculture and social care to meet basic needs and to understand and exercise their rights, including through our Worker Power programme, which builds solidarity between workers and within communities.

This is a new, senior role bringing together fundraising and communications leadership at WSC. The Fundraising and Communications Manager will lead the strategic direction for both functions, with a particular emphasis on hands-on delivery of fundraising activity — building relationships with trusts, corporate partners and individual donors, and securing the income that underpins WSC's growth.

On the communications side, the postholder will set strategy, editorial direction and quality standards, working closely with and line managing the Senior Communications and Movement Building Officer, who leads day-to-day content and campaign delivery. This is a role for someone who can operate strategically with the Executive Director and Board while remaining close to the detail of funding applications, donor relationships and income targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

● Lead the development and delivery of an integrated Fundraising and Communications strategy that grows WSC's income and public profile in support of organisational goals.

● Advise the Executive Director and Board of Trustees on income generation, funding risk, and public positioning.

● Own annual fundraising and communications targets, budgets and KPIs, reporting regularly on progress.

● Work collaboratively with the team on both fundraising and communications work.

Fundraising (primary delivery focus)

● Lead on identifying, cultivating and securing funding from trusts, foundations, statutory sources, corporate partners and major donors, with hands-on responsibility for research, applications and relationship management.

● Act as WSC's senior media contact, and through the Senior Communications and Movement Building Officer ensure appropriate relationships are built with journalists to secure profile-raising opportunities on migrant worker rights, fair work and labour exploitation.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an organised and proactive Global Programme Coordinator to join RCPCH Global on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support international health programmes that aim to strengthen maternal, newborn and child health systems in low- and lower-middle-income countries.

RCPCH Global is a small, specialist team responsible for designing and managing humanitarian and health systems development programmes internationally. The team works with partners to strengthen clinical education, guidelines, training, digital health tools and organisational capacity, helping to improve healthcare for children and families in some of the world's most challenging settings.

Reporting to the Head of Global Operations, you will coordinate the delivery of RCPCH Global's partnership programme in Myanmar, working closely with local partners, donors, stakeholders and colleagues across the College. You will support programme implementation, financial monitoring, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to contribute to field visits where appropriate.
