The Operations and Development Manager is a senior leadership role at AALT, responsible for ensuring the organisation’s operational effectiveness, financial stability, and long-term sustainability.
They will join at a pivotal and exciting moment for the organisation, as AALT prepares to open the Anti-Apartheid Legacy Centre (AALC) at Penton Street and transition into a newly restored and developed building, establishing operations and embedding a resilient and ambitious model for the future.

We’re looking for a proactive Senior Young People Support Worker to lead high‑quality, psychologically informed support at our nine‑bed supported accommodation service in Maritime Court. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Veterans Liaison and Officer (VLSO) to join a team providing support to ex-armed forces personnel. You will be home-based, with a caseload spread across Hertfordshire and occasionally adjoining counties.

About St Giles
An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.
St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 12 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park Hospital. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.
About this key role
You will be embedded in the hospital, providing support for those young people admitted to emergency departments right through to their discharge back into the community. You will have experience of working with ‘high risk,’ vulnerable young people, be part of a multidisciplinary team, and have a flexible, empathetic approach to your work. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

To provide an exceptional standard of organisational, administrative and project support to Directors within the Commercial & Growth and Operations Directorates, enabling them to operate effectively and efficiently. The role will implement and maintain robust, seamless administration systems and processes across the Directorates, ensuring consistency, accuracy and high professional standards.
The postholder will act as an ambassador for the Directors and the organisation at all times, supporting complex and competing workloads with confidence, discretion and foresight, and consistently staying one step ahead of what is required.
What you'll do:

Provide high-quality support to Directors, ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running.
Proactively manage multiple complex diaries, correspondence and priorities, exercising sound judgement on when to support, challenge or hold the line as appropriate.
Coordinate and provide full administrative support for Directorates and corporate meetings, including the Performance Review meetings, providing end-to-end support, including scheduling, agenda management, paper collation, accurate note-taking, and follow-up of agreed actions and outcomes, reviewing and preparation of papers.
Lead on the organisation of business meetings, events, site visits, including venues, virtual meetings, agendas, papers, travel arrangements, room bookings, minute-taking and action tracking.
Support the timely production of high-quality documentation, including reports, presentations and briefing papers, maintaining excellent attention to detail, accuracy, branding and presentation standards.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues across the organisation, acting as a key point of contact and trusted liaison for the Directors.
Work closely with other Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants to share best practice, provide mutual cover and ensure seamless support at Directorate and organisational level.
Assist with budget management activities where required, processing invoices and expenses in line with organisational procedures.
