About the Charity

From Me to You is an inspiring charity dedicated to alleviating loneliness and isolation for people living with cancer. We make connections for people living with cancer through the simple, powerful act of letter writing easing loneliness and bringing comfort, hope and human connection, one letter at a time.  Each year thousands of anonymous letters are collated by our team of volunteers and then given to patients at home, in hospitals or cancer centres by nurses and our charity partners. Recent feedback showed that 93% of our letter recipients reported that the letters lifted their mood and a quarter said that they made them feel less alone, with 80% saying that our letters made them feel cared for. Our work is powered by a passionate community of volunteers, in 2025 with their help we processed over 17,000 letters from all over the world, delivering them to cancer patients throughout the UK. 

Our Donate a Letter programme supports our 2,500+ Volunteer Letter Writers to contribute anonymous letters, some people write a couple of letters a year, others one a week. These letters are all delivered to our PO Box in Ascot. They are then sorted, read and processed by our wonderful team of local Donate a Letter Volunteers. These volunteers also then repackaged and redistributed the suitable letters to cancer patients through our partnership with hospitals, cancer centres and other charities that act as distribution partners. 

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to manage and support our volunteer network. The role involves overseeing our Community Ambassadors based across the UK who support the charity through fundraising, awareness and community activities, as well as a core team of volunteers (based in Ascot) who process our donated letters by reading, filtering, packaging, and posting them to recipients. This is a key role ensuring our volunteers feel supported, informed, and motivated, while helping the charity operate smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer Management

• Coordinate and support a team of Community Ambassadors

• Manage the core volunteer team responsible for letter processing in the Ascot area.

• Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, responding to queries and providing guidance

• Help recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers as needed.

• Implement process improvements to make operation scalable.

Operations & Safeguarding

• Oversee the letter processing workflow: reading, filtering, packaging, and posting

• Ensure volunteers follow charity guidelines, safeguarding policies, and data protection requirements

• Escalate any sensitive or concerning issues appropriately

Communication & Engagement

• Maintain regular communication with volunteers to keep them engaged and informed

• Share updates and best practices

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive volunteer culture

Administration

• Keep volunteer records up to date

• Coordinate rotas or schedules where required

• Provide feedback and insights to the charity’s leadership team

We're looking for an Engagement Worker to join our residential service based in Catford which supports females in the criminal justice system who are likely to meet the criteria for a personality disorder, helping them reintegrate into the community following release from prison, secure healthcare settings, or Approved Premises. HerStory House is dedicated to empowering women with the skills needed to thrive in their chosen communities, maintain independence, and build a hopeful future. 

Our specialised, high-support, female-only residential service is tailored for women who are likely to meet the criteria for a personality disorder diagnosis and are at risk of entering or re-entering the Criminal Justice System. You will be at the forefront of delivering a trauma-informed, person-centred service, supporting individuals through rehabilitation and resettlement. This includes assisting with engagement activities, developing support plans, and providing access to appropriate interventions to help residents move towards independence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting residents to access the resources, tools, and networks they need to achieve their goals.
• Develop, participate in, and encourage residents to participate in the running and development of various projects and activities.
• Promoting independence through life skills training, practical support, and empowerment.

About the role

This role sits within Women and Girls Network’s CJS Team and provides rapid, short-term advocacy and support to survivors, in London, who have experienced sexual violence and are engaging with, or considering engaging with, the criminal justice system.

You will deliver brief, trauma-informed and survivor-centred support to people who are unable to access an ISVA locally or who are waiting for support through the London Survivors Gateway. Working across the Gateway partnership - including Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, Respond, and the Havens - you will help ensure survivors receive timely, independent information and advocacy at a critical point.

As this is a pilot role, you will also play a key part in shaping and developing this specialist brief intervention ISVA provision in response to survivor need.

Job description

As the Brief Intervention Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), you will:

• Provide rapid, short-term independent advocacy, information and support to survivors navigating or considering the criminal justice system, enabling informed choice and access to rights.
• Deliver empowering, trauma-informed and intersectional support, including risk and needs assessments, safety planning and tailored action planning.
• Offer clear, impartial information about reporting options, the criminal justice process, survivors’ rights under the Victims’ Code, and available legal and compensation routes.
• Advocate on survivors’ behalf with police and criminal justice agencies, and support attendance at police stations or court where required.
• Work within strict safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries, ensuring survivor safety and wellbeing remain central at all times.
• Develop and pilot a brief intervention ISVA model, contributing to service design, case management systems and best practice alongside the CJS Team Manager and Gateway partners.
• Build strong working relationships across the London Survivors Gateway partnership to strengthen pathways and improve access to timely support.
• Maintain accurate case records, monitoring and evaluation data, and engage in supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development.
• Model WGN’s feminist, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach, contributing to a collaborative team culture and high-quality service delivery.

Job Summary

This is a three-year National Lottery funded role which will support ReMind’s post diagnosis support team to deliver and further develop a programme of interventions and resources for those diagnosed with dementia, their carers and families in communities in BA2, BA3 and BS31.  This role is key to supporting delivery of a suite of annual activities including courses, events, information days and peer support sessions. The post holder will work with the Head of Engagement, Programme Manager and wider project team to contribute towards planning and to deliver support interventions as well as supporting local partnership working, ensuring take-up of interventions and an excellent beneficiary experience.

ReMind UK overview

ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Our contracted NHS Memory Clinic service, private memory assessments and allied activities provide support to people affected. We are currently in an ambitious phase of organizational development increasing our impact through clinical and academic research and our post diagnosis support. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research Institutions, both nationally and internationally and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

The Role

This is an exciting and varied role which will suit an organised and compassionate individual who loves working face to face with groups and supporting people to live their best life.  You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage people in activities ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as carers. As Facilitator, you will use your insight into what works best in supporting those affected by cognitive impairment to support design of our interventions for people diagnosed with a memory condition and those who care for them. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries to deliver accessible, safe and supportive events and course sessions, ensuring that people who engage with the post-diagnosis support programme, connect with others with shared experience, are adequately supported to take part and have fun, and receive appropriate resources to help them to live well with dementia for as long as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Deliver friendly, stimulating, person-centred interventions on behalf of ReMind UK, including courses in local community venues, seasonal group activities and events and Carers Information Days as agreed with the Programme Manager.

2. Take responsibility for opening up, clearing up and locking venues as required.

3. Manage volunteers during sessions ensuring roles are organized and volunteers briefed on activities and schedule.

4. Facilitate sessions including welcoming participants,, greeting guest speakers, introducing and setting up activities, supporting participants and ensuring everyone is able to fully participate with the support of staff and volunteers.

5. Gather feedback from groups and adjust activities or session content and timings as needed to ensure that interventions are tailored to the group and individual needs and preferences are met.

6. Support the Project Team through contributing insight and experience from working closely with beneficiaries in a variety of venues to design year-round evidence-based interventions that meet the needs of participants and funders.

7. Working with the Programme Manager, support awareness raising, researching, initiating and maintaining partnerships with local community groups, health care providers and stakeholders to ensure ReMind UK maximizes reach and creates adequate awareness of the post-diagnosis support programme.

8. Ensure that materials and resources used at events, groups and courses are requested and purchased in good time and taken to each intervention.  

9. Work with the Project Team to ensure attendance and evaluation data is captured at each intervention, allowing time for collection of feedback from participants and ensuring data is accurately captured through processes set out by the Programme Manager for reporting to funders and for continuous improvement of interventions.

10. Contribute to the production of Risk Assessments and mitigations to ensure safeguarding of beneficiaries during interventions.

11. Act on and disseminate any feedback or complaints from beneficiaries using insight to inform changes to interventions or delivery and if a complaint, report to the wider Project Team and manage in accordance with the complaints procedure.

12. Speak to beneficiaries expressing an interest or being referred to the programme to ensure they are appropriately allocated a suitable event or course

13. Gather stories, testimonials and images from interventions and keep up to date records of permissions for use, ensuring these are communicated with the team and input onto the CRM.

Overall Purpose
 
The PR and Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing the NHS Charity sector’s brand reputation across media and digital channels and to reach our key audiences. As a senior member of the Strategic Engagement team, the postholder will help shape and deliver a compelling narrative about the role, need and impact of NHS charities, working with our NHS charity members to ensure our story is told in an emotive and engaging way.
 
Working closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement, the Associate Director of Communications, Communications Lead, PR Manager and the wider team, the postholder will provide strategic leadership across PR, digital content, brand messaging and storytelling. They will oversee forward planning of media moments, manage day-to-day PR operations, guide digital content strategy, and coordinate events and campaigns that raise the profile of the charity sector and deepen engagement with supporters, partners and members.
The role combines strategic oversight, hands-on content leadership, and team management to ensure coordinated, impactful communications that support our organisational goals.

• Provide guidance to colleagues and external partners on tone of voice, key messages and visual standards.

Storytelling and Content Leadership

• Oversee development of versatile, high-quality content including imagery, video, copy, and digital storytelling assets, working closely with the Communications Lead to take a strategic approach across audiences.
• Shape the forward content plan for digital channels, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Use data and insight to inform digital content strategy and continuous improvement.
• Lead and inspire the team to gather emotive case studies that bring to life the work and impact of NHS charities.

 
Media Operations

• Oversee a responsive, well-run press office managing enquiries, monitoring coverage and ensuring timely, high-quality responses.
• Support and guide the PR Manager to maximise media presence with target audiences.
• Build relationships with journalists and position NHS Charities Together and the wider NHS charity sector with our priority audiences.
• Oversee the team to manage our relationships with high profile supporters and celebrities.
• Act as a spokesperson where appropriate.

 
Digital Channels

• Line-manage the Senior Communications Officer to ensure our digital channels effectively support organisational objectives.
• Oversee planning and delivery across website, social media and email marketing.
• Ensure digital activity is insight-led, audience-focused and continually optimised through analytics.

 
Campaigns, Events and Activities

• Oversee delivery of campaigns and events, ensuring they are well planned, impactful and aligned to brand and messaging.
• Work with internal teams to maximise the communications and marketing potential of organisational activities.
• Provide strategic input and coordination across multi-channel campaigns.

 
Collaboration and Leadership

• Work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Associate Director of Communications and Engagement and the Communications Lead to develop shared priorities, workflows and team culture.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and clear direction to team members.
• Represent Communications across the organisation and with external partners when required.

Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

The Great Friendship Project is an award-winning organisation tackling loneliness through research-informed community programmes, campaigns, and partnerships.

We design and deliver social interventions that help people build real-world friendships, strengthen social confidence, and rise out of loneliness.

Our Second Home (OSH) is the UK’s youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. We support young people to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home.

Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. The Head of Programmes is a senior leadership role, reporting to the CEO and managing two senior colleagues. You will hold responsibility for the quality, coherence and safeguarding of all programme activity.

The Carer Services team is responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of products and services targeted at carers, employers and service providers. The person in this role will collaborate across teams and provide research and project support to our team; support development and delivery of content on our digital platforms and manage the application and accreditation process for Carer Confident.

You’ll have excellent customer service and relationship management skills as well as good organisational skills. Good knowledge of CRM systems and IT packages and systems is a must have and you’ll also have strong writing and research skills. 

During this 12 month contract you’ll learn more about Carers UK and develop your understanding of unpaid carers and the challenges they face. You can also expect to develop your research, project management and customer service skills.

Salary: £50,000 (Full time equivalent)

NHS Equivalent Band: 8A 

Shift Pattern: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. Please note that you may be required to work outside the hours as per service and resident requirements

About the Role

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist with a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
• Demonstrating clinical leadership by setting direction for the psychological service and driving high standards for quality, safety and ongoing improvement.
• Exercising clinical responsibility for residents’ psychological care, showing skill and judgement in selecting appropriate assessments and interventions.
• Consulting with other parties contributing to a resident’s diagnosis, formulation, treatment and risk management in the community.
• Create opportunities to collaborate with peers including AP-based psychologists nationally and OPD pathway psychologists delivering services to APs.
• Model and facilitate a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Psychologist with a strong clinical and forensic background to join our team. The successful candidate will be HCPC-registered with doctoral-level training and experience working with complex client groups. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to convey complex and sensitive information with clarity and empathy. We're looking for:

• Doctoral level training accredited by the HCPC in forensic, clinical or counselling psychology
• Experience working as a registered psychologist in the criminal justice system or forensic mental health setting
• Experience of the psychological assessment and treatment of clients presenting with a range of enduring mental health conditions, complex psychological difficulties and risks to self and others
• Experience working in a psychologically informed environment and providing informed consultation to others
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link with different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
