About You
The Events Administration Assistant is responsible for supporting the Events Operations Manager with ensuring the accurate management of registrations, financial processes, documentation and stakeholder communications providing successful operational delivery of the Society’s full programme of events and will play a key role in maintaining high service standards for delegates, speakers and partners while supporting the smooth delivery of conferences and meetings.

The postholder will maintain and update event databases, including processing registrations, amendments and cancellations, process events payments, and provide administrative coordination for these events, including registration management, speaker communications, documentation and logistics tracking.

The successful candidate will have experience in a customer facing role with excellent communication and organisational skills and have excellent attention to detail.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join Oxford’s DAE team and to make a significant contribution in support of the mission of one of the world’s leading universities.

The Development Executive is a professional fundraiser (ordinarily with some prior experience), with responsibility for devising, implementing, and collaborating on approaches to high-level philanthropic donors, and for working with DAE and academic colleagues to articulate cases for support, develop fundraising strategy and raise funds for priorities at the Ashmolean, Bodleian, Pitt Rivers Museum, Museum of Natural History, History of Science Museum and Botanic Garden and Arboretum.

About the role

• Strong technical judgement and problem-solving ability, including awareness of architectural trade-offs.

An established funding organisation is seeking an experienced Temporary Grants Manager to support a busy international research funding programme during a peak delivery period.
This assignment will focus on the end-to-end management of grants for individual applicants, with particular responsibility for peer review and assessment activity across an international scheme.
Key responsibilities

• Managing grants through the full lifecycle, from call launch to award, monitoring and close-down
• Acting as the main point of contact for applicants, reviewers and internal stakeholders
• Identifying, recruiting and coordinating external peer reviewers
• Supporting assessment panels and decision-making processes, including preparation of documentation and accurate record keeping
• Carrying out eligibility checks and managing assessment workflows to agreed standards

About The Role

As a Research Communications Assistant, you will join our Research Communications team within the Research and Innovation department, reporting to the Research Information Manager. You will work across teams to make sure our research is understood, valued and impactful.

Prostate Cancer Research – Individual Giving Manager

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a driven Individual Giving Manager to play a pivotal role in building and delivering a high-performing fundraising programme at a time of significant growth.

Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK. At Prostate Cancer Research (PCR), the focus is on accelerating better outcomes for patients, from funding pioneering research to shaping national screening policy. Individual Giving is central to this mission. With a rapidly expanding supporter base and increasing investment in growth, PCR is looking for someone who can help take this programme to the next level.

Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, this role will act as the operational lead for Individual Giving activity, translating strategic direction into effective, insight-led campaigns. The post-holder will take ownership of campaign planning and delivery across multiple channels, driving both acquisition and retention, ensuring activity is optimised for impact and return on investment.

​​​​​​​This role will lead the implementation of integrated campaigns across digital and offline channels, including social media, search, email, direct mail and telemarketing. It will also involve managing agency relationships and analysing performance data while continuously testing and refining approaches to maximise results. Alongside this, the Individual Giving Manager will play a key role in developing supporter journeys, creating compelling content and strengthening long-term supporter engagement.

This role reports to the Chief Communications Officer and will requires collaborative working with members of the Society's governance structure and the Heads of Scientific Programmes and Development Opportunities respectively, responsible for creating and delivering the society's overall communication strategy across all channels including social media and website, overseeing policy and membership engagement activities, promoting member expertise to policymakers in the UK and internationally and encourage member engagement through opportunities the Society's 'Get Involved' campaign.

It is essential to have experience in People Management as this role oversees the different branches of the Engagement and Storytelling theme covering Communication, Policy and Membership.

The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust protects, maintains and enhances the unique character of Hampstead Garden Suburb - an internationally important example of early 20th-century town planning and architecture.

The Architectural Support Officer plays a central role in this work. You will support the day-to-day operation of the Trust’s consent process, helping applicants and their advisers with applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring decisions are communicated clearly, professionally and with authority.

This is a varied role combining administration, public-facing work and exposure to architecture and conservation. It would suit someone with an interest in the built environment and heritage who enjoys detailed work and engaging with the public.

The role supports a high volume of applications across the Suburb and is central to the Trust’s day-to-day operation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Architectural and technical support

• Support the architectural team in reviewing applications, including preparing summaries and assisting with research and policy.
• Maintain a strong working understanding of the Trust’s Design Guidance and relevant policies.
• Assist applicants in understanding how proposals align with the Trust’s requirements while being clear about the Trust’s role and the limits of advice that can be provided.
• Attend occasional site visits with colleagues to view properties and proposals.
• There will be opportunities to contribute to talks and events, depending on interests and experience.

Application and consent process

• Manage the administration of applications for Trust consent, ensuring they are registered, validated and processed efficiently.
• Act as a first point of contact for applicants and their advisers, providing clear guidance on process and requirements.
• Calculate and process application fees; raise invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Notify neighbours and manage consultation processes in line with Trust procedures.
• Prepare and issue decision letters and consent documentation.
• Track applications through each stage of the process, ensuring deadlines and actions are monitored and progressed.

Committee and governance support

• Prepare and circulate papers for Plans Committee and Trust Council.
• Take clear and accurate minutes and support follow-up actions.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations.

Records and systems

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applications, decisions and property information.
• Support ongoing improvements to record-keeping, processes and digital systems.
• Ensure documentation is well organised, accessible and compliant with Trust requirements.

Team and office contribution

• Respond to general enquiries from residents by phone, email and in person.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the Trust office.
• Undertake any other duties relevant to the role as required.

Employment conditions

Hours: 3.5 days per week with occasional evening/weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given. We allow for flexible working but with some core hours. 

Duration: 18 month fixed-term role.

About Culture Unstained

Culture Unstained is a campaigns and investigations organisation which primarily works to end fossil fuel sponsorship of culture, undermining the industry’s ‘social licence to operate’. We believe that targeting cultural sponsorship gets to the core of challenging the disruptive role of the fossil fuel industry in our politics, society and culture. 

We work to end the social legitimacy and cultural power the fossil free industry currently gains from its involvement in culture and art – most visibly by sponsoring museums, galleries and other arts organisations – in order to bring about a world where cultural organisations draw an ethical red line and proudly reject funding and other ties to those involved in fuelling the climate crisis. 

We adopt an intersectional, rather than single-issue approach, to our campaigns and are committed to climate justice. This means joining the dots between fossil fuel sponsorship, militarisation, frontline struggles, decolonisation and restitution campaigns, and Palestinian liberation. 

Over the last decade, we have made cultural spaces into some of the most visible battlegrounds for a showdown between people and polluters. We have spearheaded headline-grabbing campaigns that have mobilised new networks of artists, workers and youth activists, and led to major wins, including the end of Shell and Equinor’s partnerships with the Science Museum and BP’s sponsorship of the Royal Opera House and The British Museum’s major exhibitions. In 2025, as a result of our track record of success and ongoing advocacy work, the Museums Association trade body passed a new Code of Ethics which now expects museums to ‘transition away from’ fossil fuel sponsorship.

About the role

Culture Unstained is looking for a Campaigner to join our small but impactful team in the UK, at a key moment in the exciting campaign to end fossil fuel sponsorship of culture. 

You will be working with our existing team on core campaigns such as the Science Museum and The British Museum, as well as contributing to our wider strategic work, which includes:

• Centring and amplifying the demands of impacted communities, in line with our values of climate justice and decolonisation.

• Cultivating opposition to fossil fuel sponsorship in the theatre and live music sectors, building upon our existing campaign against the Royal Bank of Canada’s sponsorship of The Old Vic theatre and instigating our first mobilisations against the recent fossil fuel sponsorship deal of a major music venue.

• Developing a mandate for sector-wide bodies, governments and multilateral organisations to implement bans on fossil fuel sponsorship and advertising, following the precedent of controls on tobacco promotion.

• Achieving consistent parliamentary scrutiny of fossil fuel industry conduct and cultural sponsorship through wider strategic engagement with parliament and culture sector bodies, alongside international advocacy activities.

• Researching and campaigning on fossil fuel industry influence on education and young people, including STEM education programmes and competitions.

• Creating the conditions for a broader cultural shift by engaging with artists and the wider culture sector through advocacy, relationship-building and convening e.g. providing sector-facing guidance on ethical sponsorship and fundraising.

• Strengthening the national and international ‘Fossil Free Culture’ movement, by resourcing and supporting allies across the wider movement.

Once in post, your role will likely mainly focus on two or three of the above areas depending on your skills, experience, interest and fit with the wider team. We would welcome ideas from you at the interview stage relating to any of our areas of work.

Key responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing the campaign to end UK fossil fuel sponsorship of culture in collaboration with the rest of the team. Our work is often fast-paced and reactive, and key responsibilities include:

• Incorporating climate justice and solidarity principles into our work and creating opportunities to centre people on the front lines of climate justice and intersecting struggles;
• Contributing to research and investigations work to scrutinise fossil fuel companies’ sponsorship deals and business plans;
• Undertaking strategic media and communications work to ensure that fossil fuel sponsorship remains one of the most controversial debates within the culture sector and more widely, including pitching media stories, writing press releases, building relationships with key journalists in the mainstream and arts media, and producing public communications materials such as briefings, blogs and social media content; 
• Direct engagement with decision-makers and regulatory bodies through, for example, written consultations, meetings, parliamentary events;
• Building relationships across the culture sector and with networks of NGOs, campaigners and frontline organisations, and working collaboratively with a range of organisations/contacts at significant campaign moments
• As a member of a Workers’ Co-operative you will also participate in decisions relating to overarching strategy and working conditions, as well as maintaining the effective running of the organisation.

• You have a demonstrable commitment to climate justice and/or its intersecting struggles including decolonisation, anti-militarisation and broader social justice campaigns.
• You have experience of working as part of, or in solidarity with, communities on the front lines of social and/or environmental justice struggles, and/or groups which are under-represented in the climate justice movement.
• You’re inspired by art, culture and creativity with a strong understanding of the politics of the climate crisis and the dynamics of the fossil fuel industry’s ongoing role in driving it.
• You can develop and implement campaign strategies and/or action-focused research and investigations to bring about real-world change.
• You have strong written and oral communication skills in English, and can write and edit high quality briefings, punchy blogs, effective press releases and impactful social media posts, as well as undertaking and writing-up new research. 
• You have the ability to quickly process information and translate it into new campaign strategies, tactics and materials, and some experience of successfully placing stories in the mainstream media, speaking to journalists or being a spokesperson;
• You enjoy working and taking decisions collaboratively and accountably as part of a small team in what is often a fast-paced environment, and are self-motivated with a high level of initiative and the ability to manage your work independently.
• You might (but not necessarily) also have a background, skills or experience in:
  • Strategic communications or public affairs;
  • Engaging decision makers in achieving policy change;
  • Sectors where the fossil fuel industry is seeking to buy influence and social legitimacy such as the culture sector (live music, theatre, museums etc), science or STEM education.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking an International Programmes Officer to join our International Funding department, providing key support in the delivery of activities within the portfolio of funding schemes.

The role

The British Academy’s international team promotes and supports international collaboration and mobility, develops and maintains links with sister academies, international organisations and other partners overseas, and leverages the expertise of Fellows and award-holders to further the Academy’s reach, impact and influence internationally.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead delivery of Believe in Climate Action (BELIEVE), an ambitious national initiative at the intersection of climate action, youth leadership and community engagement (3 days per week). This role will also support the delivery of the UN Award winning ParliaMentors project, providing mentoring, training and leadership development opportunities to students across the country, and maintaining strong relationships with University partners (2 days per week).

BELIEVE in Climate Action (BELIEVE) is an ambitious and innovative national programme led by the Faith & Belief Forum in partnership with the Cambridge Interfaith Programme. Together, we are building a bold new model for climate action, one that connects grassroots communities, young leaders, researchers and policymakers through collaboration, co-learning and shared purpose.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead a pioneering, cross-sector initiative that is reshaping how climate action happens in England. Key Responsibilities

Programme leadership & delivery

· Lead the strategic and operational delivery of BELIEVE across its three interlinked workstreams

· Ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a multi-year national programme

Stakeholder engagement & partnerships

· Mentor and support two teams of students at two universities as they work together to deliver a social action project

· Contributing to communications for the programme on social media, LinkedIn, and newsletters

Person Specification

Essential Experience

· Significant experience managing complex, multi-partner programmes (ideally national or multi-regional)

· Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder engagement at a senior level, including building and maintaining strong partnerships across sectors

· Strong track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget

· Confidence and proven experience in line management (this role will line manage 1 Project Coordinator, and oversee an internship programme of up to 8 paid interns per year)

· Strong financial management skills, and experience managing large budgets (this role will be responsible for financial management of the BELIEVE project, and reporting to funders)

· Strong experience and understanding of Safeguarding, in charities and/ or school settings

As Grants and Outreach Officer, you will play a key role in driving Electrical Safety First’s mission to reduce deaths, injuries, and accidents caused by electricity, particularly for the most vulnerable in society.

You will help manage the Charity’s grant scheme programme, which distributes £1,000,000 annually to fund community-based initiatives that raise awareness of electrical safety and reduce risks for those who face the most danger. Through this, you will help empower local organisations to create tangible change in their communities.

In addition to helping administer the grant scheme, you’ll support the Charity’s outreach initiatives, working closely with the Senior Grants and Outreach Officer to identify opportunities to expand the charity’s reach and partnerships. 

The charity’s outreach work goes beyond working with grant partners to maximise impact. It also involves identifying and developing partnerships with organisations that enable us to reach the most at-risk and hard-to-reach groups, working with them as trusted intermediaries, and supporting the development of longer-term, sustainable projects that deliver lasting impact.

This includes proactively engaging with grant recipients and partners, visiting funded projects to see first-hand the difference our work is making in educating people and saving lives, raising the profile of the charity, and ensuring outreach activity supports wider organisational objectives, including policy and public affairs priorities.
