As an integral member of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Administrator will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activity based around the centre, in order to maximise income for Maggie’s.   

As Fundraising Administrator, you will welcome and support visitors within the centre in their fundraising for Maggie’s as well as in the local community and ensuring they are motivated, informed and supported.

The role will include administering and developing our database, producing regular reports for varied internal and external audiences, and analysing and summarising information to support programme delivery and decision‑making. As part of a small team, you’ll be involved in providing key data support from the start.

Full training in Excel, Salesforce and data will be provided by the charity’s experts. Prior experience in these areas is not essential, as long as you are a quick learner who is keen to develop your skills. The role is busy and fast-paced. You’ll be meticulous, organised and work to high standards, with a sharp eye for detail. You will enjoy problem solving, have the ability to produce well-presented documentation and be pro-active in helping us to improve and innovate.

Your role

We are looking for a proactive and talented individual who has demonstrable experience of working in trust fundraising, and who can build rapport and meaningful relationships with key trustees and major donors. Writing and submitting applications and proposals to trusts will be the core focus of your role, with a view to securing sizeable donations for the work of CMS. You will also have a small caseload of existing individual major donors and small family trusts to both retain and grow their financial giving. You will have outstanding relationship building skills and an ability to establish rapport quickly with existing and prospective trusts and major donors. As demand for the MRCPsych CASC examination continues to increase, we are recruiting to two complementary coordinator roles within the Examinations team: Examinations Co‑ordinator (Resources) and Examinations Co-ordinator (CASC). Together, these posts will play a vital role in ensuring the effective planning, development and delivery of the CASC examination in the UK and internationally.

The MRCPsych Examinations Co‑ordinator (Resources) will focus on examiner management, resources and logistics. Reporting to the CASC Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the coordination of the Board of Examiners, including recruitment, training, allocation and communication with all our examiners. The role also involves sourcing and managing venues, suppliers and other resources, maintaining examination systems and databases, and providing operational support on examination days.

The Examinations Co-ordinator (CASC) is a newly created role designed to strengthen capacity in CASC development and quality assurance activity. Reporting to the CASC Development Manager, the post holder will support the development, piloting and quality assurance of CASC scenarios, coordinate development events such as writing days and panel meetings, and assist with exam build, testing and post‑exam activity. The role also provides hands‑on support during CASC delivery, working closely with colleagues, examiners and role players.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. 

Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.

About the Role

In 2025 we launched our five-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. As we enter the final year of this strategy the charity continues to expand and develop its projects and services children all over Sussex.

This role will support the Head of Finance & Operations and be responsible for organising and managing the charity’s volunteers and the volunteer programme, working across the charity to ensure we have the right individuals to support our work. Lead funding that drives systemic change
At Sense, we work so that people with complex disabilities and those who are deafblind can communicate, connect and experience the world. As Statutory Fundraising Manager, you will lead a key growth area for Sense, securing public and statutory funding that enables lasting impact at scale.

About the role
You will have strategic responsibility for statutory fundraising at Sense, excluding commissioned work. Working closely with the Head of High Value Relationships, the CEO and senior operational colleagues, you will shape and deliver a statutory fundraising strategy that supports organisational priorities and long term sustainability.

The role includes managing an annual statutory income budget of £1.5 million and leading relationships with government, lottery and public sector funders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 Variety is looking for a Trusts and Foundations Executive to join our Fundraising and Marketing Team. Reporting to the Trusts and Foundations Manager, the role will be vital in growing our income to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

You will be responsible for building and sustaining Variety’s growth across our Trust and Foundations portfolio by expanding our low and mid-sized supporters. You will pro-actively approach, secure and steward a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations (ranging from £500 to £20,000) and support the Trusts and Foundations Manager on larger applications and impact reporting.

You will be working with a supportive and knowledgeable team who regularly work from our office in the heart of Camden, London. This role will also require a DBS check.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Income generation

·Managing relationships with existing funders to secure repeat funding.

·Preparing and submitting high-quality funding applications for varied projects.

·Independently managing a well-developed pipeline of prospective funders.

·Leading on delivering small Trust mailings throughout the year.

Prospect Research

·Proactively researching and evaluating potential grant funders using funding databases.

·Identifying and aligning potential fundraising opportunities to our projects.

·Directly building relationships with potential funders via telephone and email.

·Keeping accurate records of trust prospects on our CRM, Salesforce.

Stewardship

·Building and maintaining strong relationships with funders to secure grants and increase capacity to donate.

·Delivering exceptional stewardship through timely, personalised and highly creative top-quality tailored reports for our restricted grants programmes.

·Working closely with programmes team to gather insight, data and evidence to fulfil reporting requirements for projects funded by Trusts and Foundations.

·Attending face-to-face events with donors, including occasional visits to schools for Variety Sunshine Coach Presentations.

Administration & Management

·Ensuring that donations are accurately coded and acknowledged in a timely manner.

·Monitoring income performance against agreed targets. This will include pro-actively updating the Trust and Foundations Manager on progress, risks or emerging income generation opportunities.

·Assisting with the creation of fundraising templates for our various projects using our marketing templates.

·Updating salesforce and maintaining accurate records and donor information in our CRM systems.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 Essential

· Experience working within a fundraising team at a charity.

· Experience engaging with supporters across the cultivation cycle. For example, researching potential donors, engaging with or stewarding them.

· Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and confidently in-person and on the telephone.

· Strong creative writing skills, with experience gathering and simplifying complex information into accessible content.

· Excellent IT proficiency skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Desirable

· Experience of working within a Trust and Foundations fundraising team.

· Demonstrable success writing funding applications.

· Demonstrable competence working with a CRM database.

· Experience using graphic design or marketing platforms, such as Canva.

You will contribute to wider team responsibilities including outreach, drop in and duty. 

To provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited with a specific focus on those who are homeless and experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The women we support require intensive practical and emotional support as well as support navigating health and other social care or criminal justice systems. The women will have poor mental or physical health, experience with homelessness and of the criminal justice system, are often victims of sexual and/or domestic abuse and many are homeless. This post specifically will include a focus on domestic violence, sexual exploitation, sexual violence and housing. Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalized supported will help women to access other services making appropriate referrals for women who wish to make changes, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including where necessary challenging stigma and judgement women face.

Job Description  

It’s been a successful few years for the Events team with good results across the board, increasing income by over £1 million a year since 2023. And we’ve just been shortlisted for Fundraising Charity of the Year at the National Fundraising Awards 2026!

Now’s an exciting time as we’ve recently expanded the team again, bringing in new resource to give our different activity areas space to grow and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their work within our ambitious and supportive team.

We are now recruiting for a new Events & Community Executive to join the frontline of our fundraising stewardship, so strong relationship skills and a love of creating great supporter experiences are essential. A big part of the role will be project managing fundraising activities which will require a proactive approach and an eagerness to learn, as well as some experience of leading a project yourself in the past.

Examples of projects include the London Marathon, Tough Mudder and our open challenges, but you will work on a variety of activities with the team – sharing learnings and supporting each other to hit our shared goals. You will receive the training and support you need to succeed. 

Key Responsibilities  

Event management and delivery  

• Lead the delivery of the fundraising activities you are working on – monitoring objectives, budgets and the bigger picture to ensure that opportunities are seized and risks are minimised. 
• Create and follow action plans for your projects, taking responsibility for processes and the delivery of tasks on time. 
• Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and third-party organisations.
• Ensure all fundraising activities promote PCR’s brand and have a strong connection to people with prostate cancer. 
• Analyse project results based on KPIs & feedback, proactively suggesting changes & improvements. 

Stewardship 

• Lead on the delivery of supporter journeys for your projects, providing a high level of stewardship which motivates our fundraisers to raise more and remain loyal supporters of PCR. 
• Lead on relationship management as required for the fundraising activities you are working on. 
• Carry out stewardship tasks using tools like Mailchimp, GivePanel, JustGiving & Funraisin, for which training will be provided.
• Use feedback & data to spot opportunities for the constant improvement of fundraisers’ experience with PCR. 

Marketing and recruitment  

• Work with the team to create effective marketing plans and lead on their implementation to meet acquisition targets. 
• Create recruitment assets which are tailored by a good understanding of our audiences. 
• With the support of the team, track and analyse marketing performance to proactively suggest improvements. 

Administration and database  

• Oversee stock management via our fulfilment house and ensure we have high quality fundraising merchandise. 
• Carry out participant data processing, income processing and budget management tasks as required – including coding, database administration, supplier payments, and income & expenditure tracking. 
• Ensure your fundraising activities are delivered in line with fundraising law & regulations, and with PCR’s policies.

Strategy and development 

• Always have an eye on new opportunities and ideas to inject into your projects, taking a test & learn approach. 
• Contribute to team strategy and budgeting, working with the team to create exciting plans.
• Lead on relevant projects to improve how we do things – from stewardship & content, to processes & compliance. 
• Be proactive in your personal development and look for opportunities to learn – with lots of support from your manager! 

Teamwork 

• Actively contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team.
• Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, where we all take collective responsibility for the team’s goals.
• Be flexible in busy times, working together to meet team goals, and sometimes getting involved with other projects and tasks across the Public Fundraising team. 
• Attendance will be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.
